  1. I hadn't seen this game yet. Good review! I am not too sure about these games. They don't look that fun and they don't seem to have very interesting parts.
  2. I love all the houses but I'd have to say the yellow one is my favorite (but I do like to build big). I think you could find all three size variations in my neighborhood so I think they all work well together for added diversity.
  3. Thanks. I would love to use the dark blue with white but I am not sure if that will work. It will depend on the type of bricks I'll need and the amount. Otherwise I am thinking it will be the classic black and white. I am waiting for a BL order to arrive so I can start building the ship. I can't wait! I am down to a few tweaks to the roof and the interior for St. Elizabeth and then the frigate will be my only project.
  4. Very funny. That's about my skill level in the kitchen as well.
  5. Welcome. There are so many amazing examples from which to draw inspiration from that you can't help but become a better builder. Hope you enjoy your time here and I look forward to seeing some of your creations don't be shy about posting them.
  6. Sounds like a very ambitious project. I'll egerly await the updates.
  7. I think your castle was a great start. You could totally tell where you were going with it and I have no doubt that had the parts not run out on you that you would have worked it into the castle you always dreamed of. As others have said, I like it when people mix the greys and you did a great job of it. The all light grey castles never look quite right to me. Anyway...Keep dreaming big and adding grey bricks to your collection as you can.
  8. Good thinking to snap those pictures. Very funny!
  9. I like it! It reminds me of UC Berkeley. They are always protesting about trees. The burning garbage can was a nice touch.
  10. Great job on this. I really like the variety of the building designs. You did a good job with the town layout. It doesn't seem too crowded and everything seems to work well together. They only improvement you could make that might add to it would be to add some different colored cobbles to your streets (dark grey, tans, browns, and blacks) just to break up all the light grey a little. Very nice MOC.
  11. It's perfect. The colors are great. I think the only thing you could do to change it would be to build it bigger.
  12. Hmmm....You must be a French spy living in London!
  13. What type of hinge are we going to need?
  14. It is highly unlikely you will get to be old if you keep fighting us Redcoats.
  15. I'll asume those are not our only two choices I think it looks good. It looks like an average neighborhood type tree. The square trunk might be better with round 1 x 1 or with the round pillar that has a single 1 x 1 at its base.
  16. Here is one of me. I'll let you guess which one I am
  17. Thank you all. It's a rare thing to do a web search and so quickly find not only exactelly what you were looking for but more than you had ever dreamed existed but that is exactely what happened to me the first time I searched for Lego Pirates on Google. The site is awesome and has become a very fun part of my day. You are all terrific and your work is very much appreciated and as I think the statstics show is having a possitive impact on the profile of the site but more importantly a lot of Lego fans out there! Three Cheers!
  18. That is a great looking bunch of buildings. I like all the various color schemes you have used and you have managed to come up with some good architectual diversity. Will you be arranging them all together?
  19. A young woman named Maria and her drunkard mother. Not sure what your last question means exactly?
  20. Have a good time. Your unique humor and perspectives will be missed.
  21. Cool Lorry. It makes me think of something like the Italian Job because it looks like it has some high performance modifications like those alloy rims and low profile performace tires. I imagin it is on its way to pull off some cool heist!
  22. Very nice series of ships. Your building style is great...It combines the classic lego feel with a much more sophisticated design. Look forward to more. The Avenger is great too. I don't think I had seen that one before.
  23. Very well done scene. You really brought the bricks to life with the display. I have that same sword! I love that thing...as evidenced by my sig-fig holding it. Great job.
  24. Thank you for all the very nice comments. It makes these large builds that much more fun...Stay tuned for St. Elizabeth Parish Church...comming soon...I hope Thanks. I have been meaning to do it for the longest time. That new soldier head is actually pretty darn close to my own melon. Wow...that was super fast. Thanks so much. I am going to stare at the front page all day! That's a good idea on the table...It never sat quite right with me. I might have to do that. Thanks Bluecoats are welcome at the Capstan as long as they are accompanied by a responsible Redcoat. Yeah was that you...If you can find that screen shot I am talking about post it here. I just have a printed copy I used as a reference. Down the road when I have built up the waterfront you will absolutely get to see the Naval Store House and the Capstan together. If my contractor would build my house faster I could get my garage back and start laying out the port. I have no idea. The only things I had to order were a few roof tiles (I was 8 short and that was very frustrating) and I had to order a bunch of capstan's (those a few more of those 4 pin brown technic pieces on the exterior). I had everything else...my collection is rather large... Thanks again!
  25. I added backpacks to all my new soldiers.
