Heroica RPG - Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory

"Nur, ya want to patch up Stigveladi? Alexis go for one of that first goat." Skrall reloaded and fired at Mountain Goat C from the back row. Battle Order: Alexis Hoke Nur Stigveladi Namyrra Skrall -
I believe this was ruled as no.

Technically speaking Largh-Mund uses the same head as Igmund who is a half-troll.

I always wondered if it was a straight +4 WP vs. beasts or double WP vs. beasts, but I guess that clears it up. I guess it's supposed to be like the Fiery Sawblade or Aquatic Labrys.

That's what I was referring to, the 4 should be included in the WP, thus {[2x(11+2+4)]+30}x2x2=256 not 440 -

OoC: Skrall isn't favoring either Beasts or Flying at the moment, so the Hippogriff should still be up, the +4 modifier against beasts though should be multiplied by the Critical Hit WP factor though. Skrall reloaded and fired off another bolt at the Hippogriff as it soared past him. Battle Order: Hoke Skrall Namyrra Alexis Stigveladi Nur -
Thanks TrumpetKing, I'm generally more active behind the scenes as my PM Box can witness but I can see how that came across. I forgot to mention this earlier and even though I was really bad at including mine consistently, the role-playing quirks were a great addition as they made the day threads enjoyable to read in addition to making day 1 a little less humdrum.

Skrall braces himself for the incoming beast, loading another bolt and preparing to shoot the Hippogriff at point blank range from the back row. Battle Order: Alexis Nur Hoke Skrall Namyrra Stigveladi -
That's my point though, they shouldn't have to "hope" that a certain avatar isn't in play. Two people claiming to be a protector or a vig is fine, but a when a scum claims vanilla they're able to hide in a larger group that. There is no "vanilla" claim a scum can safely make when it comes to CMF's.

"Namyrra, I'll take care of the flyin' beast, I think some of yer magic might be suited better fer the goats than my weapons." Skrall slid a bolt into his Hunter's Crossbow and made ready to take aim at the Hippogriff from the back row. Battle Order: Alexis Nur Hoke Skrall Namyrra Stigveladi -
I brought up the potential rule violation and felt that it in some way would cheapen the victory, the scum shouldn't be forced to make up lies based on information they aren't given in my opinion. It's somewhat like giving every townie a password in their Role PM that only other townies have. The game isn't won by deduction or investigations, it's won by a list of who knows the password and who doesn't. When there's no majority for the scum to hide in, i.e. town (in terms of allegiance) or vanilla (in terms of role) then it just becomes a process of having everybody claim and voting off one of the two people who's claims match.

Great job Trumpetking, I really had a good time. The presentation and story was good, the only thing I would change is to give the scum alibi CMF. The need for them to attempt to guess at a CMF that the town didn't have I think was somewhat unfair. Other than that, the town did a good job of coming together, even if we were slightly paranoid. Purpearl, you did an excellent job nailing down those suspects.

Most factions in Heroica are considered neutral, each having their "good" moments and their "bad" moments, so no need to worry about it too much. Heroica is primarily high fantasy (i.e. Lord of the rings) inspired, but has a good mix of pirates, steam punk, and oriental influences as well. The Ji Pei, as Capt.JohnPaul mentioned, resemble eastern culture and have much more advanced technology than some of the other factions or peoples. Quests 50, 75, and the end of 15 all feature airships and the Ji Pei, however I'm sure there are piratical factions out there that also own airships.

Sandy's Quest 44 is a good one for such setting, starting around post 611 it features the underground temple of the god of chaos, Zoot. Zepher's Quest 53 also takes place in the sewers and underground of Eubric Freeprort, starting around post 1411. If you look in the Heroica Index, quests are also identified by their author and story arc and as Capt.JohnPaul mentioned, any of the quests by Kintober or involving the Wolfgang tend to take place in the sewers.

"Alright, let's at least see what the Eastern Sanctuary holds fer us. We'll rest up and discuss our plan after that. In the meantime, anyone dyin' for one of these scythes? Seems like they could come in handy against some future fishies." Skrall wrung out his cap and waited for the mages to clear a dry path before making for the sanctuary. I'm also going to vote: Balthasar (Kristel). Balthasar, I'm afraid I'm only the spokesperson, the leaders of the group will have to make the decision how much to reveal to you privately.

Not 100%, but enough to warrant them less likely scum than the two of you. Obviously some are considered more confirmed than others, as in an investigation is better evidence than a watch/track, but it's enough for us to whittle down the suspects.
-
It comes down to this; we have taken everything from investigations, blocks, watches, and trackings, as well as those whom known scum either associated themselves with or distanced themselves from during the day threads and we are left with only 2 individuals whom could not be "cleared" by any of these methods, yourself and Rocky. Rocky established himself as more of a townie today than you and thus you are being lynched. If you can offer any defense as to why you shouldn't be lynched, either by making a PR claim to a trusted townie, or providing post evidence that makes your association with the scum highly unlikely then please do so.

Heroica RPG - Expert Job Class Discussion
Waterbrick Down replied to LEGOman273's topic in The Heroica Archive
Seems a bit overpowered? All it takes is for a Mystic to enthrall a really powerful creature and then sit back and do nothing until it loses control. Perhaps there should be a chance for the thrall to break the spell at the end of each round? After Sudden Death/Doomed and Petrify, Hexed (which is a very similar mechanic) is one of the most dangerous effects to an enemy. -

So to clarify, enthrallment isn't the same as hexed correct? -

As Skrall sat by the shore of Loch Mess, he noted that the goat Billy was still waiting around apparently unfazed by the danger around him. Skrall hastily wrote his name upon a scrap of parchment he carried in his bag and handed it to the goat to bear to the raffle.
