Heroica RPG - Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory

Now, now, a QM trying to make things "fair" is either a sign of a poorly prepared party or a poorly designed monster. I don't think the special mirror should be adjusted, witches are supposed to be the counter to killer special damages.

Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis ~ Day Three

{Even such a guess is illogical and I wouldn't have expected you to say it unless you're scrapping for excuses. I also would have expected you to focus on the cleric who supposedly confused you, instead of distracting everyone with a conspiracy theory against Calico. It's a plain black and white case, either you are lying or she is, Calico is irrevelent at the moment we take this one step at a time. I have read back on their initial suspicion of you after you protested to the "kill all mages" after the statement had been clarified mind you. You seemed to be continuing the riot incitement that Doranee started. Additionally their suspicions were not soley based upon your objecting to them, but your protecting of Retak whom we are almost certain is a Nephilim on Day 1 and your protecting of Shadir (whether or not intentionally is to be determined) last night who is another prime suspect of today. Even after all that, I wouldn't say you are their greatest suspect as you seem to be painting yourself.}- 343 replies

{Actually a logical conclusion is that the vampire cleric would be a Nephilim if Corelin is a true hero, she is the one who denies that she confused Corelin. She might have acted independently of Calico and company.}- 343 replies

{Your logic doesn't work because if they had wanted to "make attacking [you] possible" they would have done so and you would have seen them attacking you. Seems like you're grasping at straws now...}, the assassin jerkily circled Shadir looking for the best way to get past his defenses.- 343 replies

{She stated what she did last night,} {The only one claiming the contrary is you. Thus it is a your word versus hers. However you are proposing that the cleric is in league with Calico and company and confused you on purpose so they could attack Shadir, who you ended up protecting anyways? Between the possibility of that occurring and you lying to protect yourself from suspicion because you did in fact protect Shadir intentionally, the latter seems much more probable. For the time being I think we should figure out Shadir's allegiance first as he's already under heat for other condemning circumstances. If he's a Nephilim, I think it will be very telling about you and this entire affair.}- 343 replies

{It is a simple fact, if according to you she is lying then ergo she must be a Nephilim and ergo worthy of an attack. Remember that all of us have weapons of the pretty much the same strength. Sometimes the doctor must also be a soldier in order to keep the enemy at bay. Either he is a Nephilim or you are and your wavering on action does not support your position very well.}- 343 replies

Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis ~ Day Three

{Well as far as purchasing another Phoenix, I think it is indeed a good idea though who to bring back will take some consideration. As far as suspects, Calico and company have been brought up under a conspiracy charge though I find it difficult to believe considering all of the statements that have been made by them the past few days and considering that most of the accusations are based more on hype than substance. I think we can safely say that Retak is a Nephilim given the business with the magnifying glass and the fact that she hasn't offered up any counter explanation as to who else would have a diamond and could attack Calico on Day 1. Considering that Retak has claimed to have a diamond, the only unaccounted for gem seems a topaz if Enya is to believed and the only magic user to not claim a gem is Shadir, thus I am almost certain Shadir is the killer of Pauline from Day 1. If you require other suspects, there are plenty of lurkers and at least one who popped in today to incite panic, i.e. Doranee. Of the rest garnering attention today, Corelin, Fleyra, and Enya, I don't think any of them are really Nephilim at the time being and that the arguments made today about them stemmed more from emotion rather than real findings. It's all been said and you'd do well to read it, the last thing we need is an uniformed hall.}- 343 replies

{So now we have a name, Capriccia, makes sense considering yesterday's actions. Now, isn't it also a reasonable thought that considering Calico was attacked early on that Capriccia assumed she was probably a true member of Heroica and thus Brienne wasn't a viable target?}- 343 replies

You do realize that you're claiming that there are three light magic users, since neither you nor Eris accepted responsibility for the attack against Calico on Day 1. I find it highly improbable that there are three diamonds among us, that combined with your hesitance in the original magnifying glass plan and your lack of a visible investigation on Day 1, point to you being a lying Nephilim. If any hero is still out there waiting on a suspect to attack, I think aside from an investigation result, this might be as good as it gets.- 343 replies

{Which is why we need a chart to keep track of all of these things, wasn't the satyr handling that at one point? Well if the investigation is to be considered valid, then I think we can stop the argument over the Rito's actions for the time being, at this point it's just going to continue to go in circles. While we have focused in on the Nephilim suspects among the magic users and we know that we'll need to look into those who potentially own hand-cannons next, where do we go from there? Certainly once those leads dry up we're going to need to start considering more than just the standard shouting match.}- 343 replies

{And that is fine to suspect, but given all that has transpired the past 3 days and that there are other accusations out there based on more than feelings, your insistence begins to look like tunnel-vision. Stealing is not a Nephilim give away, we have already seen instance in which it was performed out of public good intentions, if you thought someone was a threat but couldn't attack them, what would you do? It seems the problem keeps on escalating because you keep Flying to avoid being attacked which makes those who want to attack you suspect you of being a Nephilim. See how the cycle continues? Also when was it shown that you were part of Heroica?}- 343 replies

Heroica RPG - Cruel Angel's Thesis ~ Day Three
Waterbrick Down replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
{Please my good Rito, if you wish to avoid suspicion consider the implications of your statements and do not resort to impulsive behavior only because you feel something is important. Catching a Nephilim is always a serious matter, but we do so methodically whittling away at them. Like I stated earlier. Should Calico and her crew be Nephilim I would have expected to find much more damning evidence during their numerous comments than what has been brought up. We work on the surest things first and then we progress to the next surest things, building a case against the Nephilim one bit at a time, just like a strong nest or one of your eyries.}- 343 replies

{Ummm, Fleyra. I'm glad you're keeping an open mind, but have you looked at the evidence thus far against Shadir and Retak? What we have against them is much more concrete than a conspiracy theory about Calico and Brienne, correct?}- 343 replies

{Alright, you three. Let's wait till we get a comment from Brienne so we can straighten this out. Corelin, no attack was seen but I would describe the situation as still murky. Calico, like I tole Corelin, it's still murky so don't you go jumping to conclusions either, and Kharybdis while your theory is good, we still don't have enough info to say one way or another.}- 343 replies
