CMF Mafia 2 - Day One - On the Case
Hinckley replied to TrumpetKing's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Bleeb, darling, your speech is so much fluffier than usual. New fabric softener? Good idea. Let's do it. I'm tired of talking in circles and Bleeb's theory makes less sense than a white zinfindel. But why not, dearie? It would give us so much more to work off of in later days, like when people responded, who posted without revealing, that sort of thing. Isn't it best we do it now and try to catch the Scum with their pants down?- 267 replies

Technically, the host is being metagamed, dear. I'm not sure how one would WIFOM the host. He knows what glass the poison is in. At this juncture it would also appear that you're trying to buy your Scum buddy another night. Maybe you could tailor him so the result comes out how you like it. Oh, darling, it's good to know you're not presuming that a PR would follow advice from the thread. They'll probably read some other game or watch a TV show to inform them who to target. Great point, dear. However, maybe in the future I would advise you to not always say such Scummy things. Oh, is that what you meant? Thanks for clarifying, darling. You meant that better choices meant one person, Sally. Yes, let's lynch those better choices Sally because she suggested we all reveal our alter egos, instead of the person who revealed an alter ego that is most likely Scum. Not that Sally has appeared Town to me, quite the opposite. Sorry, Sally love, but your weird ID card thing and your quick private communication is pinging me. Would two Scum accuse each other? Well, never except they just did in that one Viking end of the world one we just saw, I barely followed it, can't remember the name. While we're on the subject of Sally, it sure was nice of Monarch Timothy III to accuse you in thread but defend your actions in private. Timothy dear, what is it you said? Something about Scum wouldn't be so bold as to immediately contact someone on Day One? Oh yes, well I do believe we've evolved into the era of Scum playing WIFOM and doing so successfully. We're so used to each other's tricks and are getting to the point where we, as Mafia players, are skilled enough to successfully pull off WIFOM. So anybody telling me someone's not Scum because "Scum would never..." should be slapped hard enough to pull the attention of every guest at the dinner party. I love wine. Oh hello, you. I almost forgot about you, love. So, this alter ego thing comes as a surprise to you? What is happening here? Are you trying to cause reasonable doubt that people in this game are, what then, playing a completely different setup? Maybe some normies joined the Monsters along the way. Defected from the normal way of life? Maybe all the Scum got into my boxes of wine, but something is causing them to rush in and line up for the gallows. Salud, Cheers, Skål and all that. Oh goodness, I'm so drunk I forgot to conclude my first...or second...point. Jeffrey, dear, please explain why would you want to lynch Sally for suggesting we reveal our alter egos over Derek who seems to have revealed a Scum alter ego? If it's Scummy to ask for them to be revealed, what information would we be trying to protect if not the information that Derek has just let slip, hmmmmm?- 267 replies

I cannot back up Derek's claim. Let's wait and see what others say. You must be getting a tongue lashing on the Scum writeboard, darling. That's just it. The concept for this game is inverted. The Monsters have the majority and The Normies are the Scum. So for someone to not be a monster... fill in the blank, lovely. You're Scum. Someone screwed up in the first one, yes. That doesn't mean the host has to make it impossible for someone to screw it up again. The very story is that we're monsters vs. normies and our real identities are hidden. You've admitted your true identity is a normie. Sorry. We have to lynch you now. I don't know what others will do. Maybe someone will corroborate your story, I doubt that. But, when voting starts today, I'm voting for you and I can't imagine anything changing that.- 267 replies

He thinks that you've asked everyone to reveal the information from our role PMs about the true identity of our characters. Duh. This sounds like you are asking everyone to reveal their true identity.- 267 replies

Helen here! -
I think I'll be lynched first no matter what side I'm on as nobody is likely to trust me again.
-
As mentioned several times in this thread, they can and do.

That could be a really good excuse for Scummily flying under the radar.

No, it's a cruise. I don't know if there's Wi-Fi. There wasn't last time. That might have changed. No idea. Checked the website, but no info. I'll have to call.

Ragnarök Now Redux - Conclusion

I thought my PMs with the people I claimed to were very natural. Scuba suggested contacting Nemo who was almost surely the Town blocker and it was Nemo who blabbed everything to me. And then moments later, so did Corny. Then, he immediately freaked out and started sending me PMs about who not to kill if I was Scum and I just decided to contact you both together and tell you to stop wasting your time suspecting me. I considered PMing you to see if I should investigate Corny but there was so much talk about why Corny was almost surely Town, I couldn't make it sound sincere. It sounded Scummy no matter how I worded it. This game was a lot of unsent PMs for me. And we were actually going to kill you on the night you told Corny that if you died you were sure it meant I was Scum. I wanted to kill you anyway but we figured by process of elimination that Waterbrick Down was the serial killer and went for him instead. I did expect to have some suspicion thrown my way when you ended up dead but fhomess knew you were important so we had that to keep attention off of me. On the dead writeboard, def referred to a conservative Scummy and that was me. We could've given a Town result on fhomess and tried to get another Townie lynched and shapeshifter the killer that night and won if we got the second kill. We didn't like the uncertainty. We wanted to have more control than that. It's just numbers at that point. We figured giving up fhomess would keep the Town suspicion off of me and give us the best run up to the end. If we hadn't investigated fhomess, we probably would've gone for Bob or Palathadric. I would've given a Scum result on either one and ridden the rest out. However, not giving a Scum investigation that night would've left me under a great deal of scrutiny and I just wanted that shifted off of me. In Ragnarok I and EB Mafia II, I felt I flubbed my Scum game hard and ended up leaving the Scum team exposed in both. We were determined to cover those bases by suspecting each other and having fake PMs. Rick and Corny are smart players and have become very adept at reading me. I tried to play off of how they caught me in the past to create enough doubt in their mind to deflect that suspicion onto others. To be honest, we were lucky to have the gift of five dead Townies on Day Two. That did put us ahead. Town could've come back from that but it was a great motivator for us and we took advantage of it. -

I can't wait to hear! I think you did a great job at getting out of being lynched. We couldn't help you with that and you accomplished it very well.
