Ragnarök Now Redux - Day One
Hinckley replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Two things to point out: One, I don't want to mention until I have more info, but I'm sure we can all see it. I'm wondering why it's there. Two, there are 2 guests viewing this thread so either there's something in this thread that is interesting to unregistered members or we are close to getting a Servant of Loki. -

Here's a quick summary (yes, a summary) of people's suspicions against the vote getters. Early summaries and an odd rambling style that may just be a language barrier. The defensiveness towards Jarni is the big concern here. Short, nonsensical posts. Not around much, not responding to direct questions. Announcing his inactivity and then grouping his accusers into nonsensical categories, aka flailing. Refuses to talk. Sticking to a character trait or hiding behind it? Suggested gathering clues from the first game without actually acting upon it himself. Brought the initial suspicions against Mist but didn't place a vote for her. Passively leading a lynch. Gut instinct? For suspecting me! Just kidding. Defensive when compared to Petr and fixated on Helga, but who can blame her for that? Helga is sexy. I think Rurik summed up Kolgrima's odd behavior best when he pointed out that she accused me of trying to protect Dagstyr, but then said she didn't suspect Dagstyr. His vote seems like a forced re-hashing of other people's points. Trying to summarize but being an un-natural actor. Who would need to act? Scum would. Not voting for the leading vote-getter and making a point to let everyone know it. _______ I know you’re not asking me but I would say no. I don’t trust anybody either but who do you think is trying to get you to trust me? Is there anything else making you feel that way? Because you are oddly fixated. You jump at being grouped with Petr like someone popped a paper bag behind you. If you felt Petr was “acting like an idiot” you should be able to discuss your opinion even if it’s similar to his. You know you’re not an idiot, right? Now you’re trying to say I was bringing up Dagstyr more than you. You're pinging me. Petr, the one who Kolgrima is so annoyed to be grouped with had this gem: Oh, the odd behavior was intentional. I see. Wow, you really showed the Scum... look at them, laying at our feet now. At this poine, we need to consolidate our votes. If Kolgrima's reaction is an indication that they're on the same team, then a Petr lynch would answer the same question. They're both weird and more people seem willing to vote for Petr. Unvote: Mist (Mencot) and vote: Petr Half-Troll (PirateDave84) And yet, I can't help but point out that Dagstyr hasn't contributed much at all. He's doing very well at flying under the radar. I expected him to acknowledge the discussion that revolved around him. That's bugging me too. I think this is the vote tally now: Vote Count Mist (Mencot): 3 votes (Captain Genaro, Waterbrick Down, Rick) Wilhalm Bloodaxe (WhiteFang): 2 votes (Kristel, LegoDad) Petr Half-Troll (Piratedave84): 4 votes (Captain Nemo, jamesn, Cornelius Murdock, Hinckley) Sigrid (Sisco): 3 votes (CallMePie, Piratedave84, Bob) Naemr Sledgehammer (Captain Nemo): 1 vote (Scubacarrot) Jarni Child-Sparer (jamesn): 1 vote (fhomess) Kolgrima the Deep-Minded (Kristel): 1 vote (Fugazi) Chlodochar (Captain Genaro): 1 vote (Trumpetking) Lefsi Red-Shirt (LegoDad): 2 votes (def, Palathadric) It's still a damn mess. -

Oh, these names. Very clever! Of course, no offense, God, but the names... It's hard to sort through all of this. Anyway, why Dufa why? What pings you about them? -

Six people still haven't voted, 10 people are being voted for and 12 votes are needed for a conviction. With everything that has happened today, we have to have at least one Scum in the cross-hairs. Perhaps that's why the votes are so scattered. I think it's important to reach a conviction. There are a lot of people reading this thread. Let's practice getting our acts together so this doesn't happen on Day Two. If you're reading this thread right now, look at the people being voted for and post who you think is the Scummiest. Even if you've already voted, look at all of the cases and choose the most suspicious. I'm looking everything over now. -

You're expecting someone to give you evidence? There's not a lot of "evidence" in this game. Anything that is comes in the form of Night Action results and those can't always be made public. You have to participate. You have to look at all the activity that has occurred today and form some sort of people one people's behavior. You have to listen and respond in return, not be silent. There's a significant amount to base a vote on. I agree with Baulf and Canute, you can't hide behind your character trait. What the hell? I meant "some sort of opinion on people's behavior." -

I originally found your comment weird but now it's clear that it's just your posting style. My concern with you is more about your defensiveness towards Jarni. You defended yourself but said that Jarni is "on your list of scummy scummos". Accusing your accuser. Yet when voting started, you said you had no case. Why not Jarni at that point? And what of the rest of this list of scummy scummos? Now your defense only consists of self-defense. You're not accusing anyone else which is usually what Scum do when being lynched so we have nothing to work off of later. Then again, maybe nobody will be lynched. Almost half of us haven't voted yet with less than 24 hours left in the day. -

Sorry. I must've misunderstood your conclusion in this post. When leaving off a post with asking to hear from someone, it usually implies that you're holding your vote until you do hear. I do see now that you've said Dagstyr is not really a suspect. How did you come to this conclusion with no posts to base it on? Two of my posts actually merged there. The post about half of us not participating much was posted after reviewing the thread further, not as a conclusion to my questions of Baulf and Sigrid. -

That's more defensive than I expected. Perhaps I have struck a chord by associating you two. I wasn't being subtle about it, either way. You two are both misrepresenting what I said. I didn't bring up "inactive players". I brought up Baulf and Sigrid. You and Petr are the ones insisting on putting them in the category of inactive players and twisting it to my "list of inactive players" being incomplete. But ever since you brought up inactive players, your focus has been on Dagstyrr. Why is your focus just on him and not the other inactive players? A quick search shows me that he hasn't even been "online" for over 24 hours. Choosing an inactive player and saying you're waiting for to hear from them seems like a safe place for a Servant of Loki to bide their time waiting to see which way the votes go. -

Why are you and Kolgrima suggesting that I needed to list every inactive player? I never said Baulf was suspicious, I said he has been useless in the past. I'm tired of him not participating because it always allows the Scum a free lynch. As for Sigrid, his narrative post was so annoying, I wanted to see what else we'd be getting from him and why he would post in such a way after having played before. Focusing on the inactive is not the way to win this. Yes, it's important to get people talking and poke people out of their silence. There may even be one Scum who is lazy enough not to participate but the focus should be on people's behavior, not their post count. Or you and your Scum team can continue to try and distract us with the inactive players. -

For the last year at least. We're over it. You should move on too. I don't understand everyone's fixation with low posters either. How often does the lynch of an inactive player produce a Scum? We should be paying attention to people who carefully tread along a center line. However, trying to get people to focus on the inactive could be a good distraction technique for the Scum to employ. -

Don't mistake what I said. This behavior is indicative of his gameplay on either side so don't take him off of your suspect list until you have a reason to. -

That's much better. Sorry I misunderstood. Good to know it's a simile and not a metaphor. Or is the other way around? Well, it was Thanksgiving weekend and Americans are probably shopping or putting up decorations. However, the smarties I'm worried about are Rurik of Gofraid, neither American. They are experienced players and haven't contributed much yet. Although they aren't know for being prolific posters as much as for being smart. -

At least we won't be doing the usual insult war devolving into childish standoff. Only because I'm going to leave your rude statement alone. Interestingly, you agree with the farm hand dunce today. Vote: Mist (Mencot) As I pointed out early, you swooped in with a little summary after Naemr's nonsense idea. It was a clumsy summary and somewhat ramblingt. Not sure you were making a point or just trying to look like you were contributing. You got defensive when Jarni mentioned you as suspicious and shot back against him, yet said you had no suspicions when voting opened. There is plenty of time to unvote but I feel my vote is well placed with you. There are some really smart players out there we haven't heard much from yet. -

As I said at least half of us haven't said much today. I said that after noticing you, amongst others, were as quiet as Baulf and Sigrid. Throw Dagstyrr in the mix too if you like. Are you suspicious of him or would you just like to hear my opinion of him? I feel like I suspect everybody and am not sure rattling off any more names will be helpful at this point. I don't understand what you're asking for then. Do you think people will be able to judge affiliation by specific people's behavior just in the last Ragnarok game? That's weird. It was a joke. The Einherjar were suspicious that the Servants of Loki were so easy to catch and thought there might be two factions. The host was making a joke. There was only one faction that proved to be very easy to catch. Just to be a stickler, I don't see anybody else saying Snotra is suspicious. Just annoying. "For the quote megablocks." That is a side effect of ox urine treatment. -

I hate first day voting. I know you are typically heavy handed when it comes to pronouncing your intentions to help the Town but this seems a bit thick even for you. I gladly put on the table that I tend to suspect you and don't want to have a repeat of lives past, but outside of your greatness, do you have any opinion on what other people have said? You don't want to throw stones yet you bristled at Jarni when he questioned you. You accused him of mixing your words. Why have you dropped this so quickly? It's aggravatingly typical. I agree his statement is useless but if we're going to base suspicion on his past performances, it doesn't tell us anything about what side he's on. The first person to tell us to stop joking around does draw suspicion. That's a risky move for a Scum to make. Asking us what happened in the first game instead of checking himself bothered me. Naemr, what did you find from researching the first game? Did you look into it when I provided the link? Baulf, do you have anything to say this time around? Or are you going to be typically absent? Sigrid, have anything else to say, hopefully not in third person? You know, about half of us haven't said very much so far... -

Shirley, in your desire to know the events of the last Ragnarok, you checked the magic Mafia Games Index Scroll: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=76108 I do agree that there may be some similarities but knowing this particular God and having played God myself in past lives, it's never wise to metagame God and assume anything about the setup based on past setups. I'm sure though that we can expect some weirdness as God has specifically said–in our mystical land of Sign-up Thread–he couldn't help but put some weirdness in this one. -

Who's this everyone? It's been used for generations for disinfecting wounds and healing maladies of punctuational nature. Everyone knows that. I can't even blame my phone. It's what our ancestors did for years by firelight, passing down the story of our more barbaric acts through the act of quilting. I have a beautiful quilt depicting "The Desecration of The Giantesses by Yoric the Hung." See how I appropriately use my quotes? That's Ox Urine.
