Future Action and Adventure Themes
Peppermint_M replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Arrowsmith springs to mind here. (and I just went through a stack of fifteen year old comics to confirm the name.) It had a really cool look and I want to build some things that match. I really do want to get my dieselpunk on. -
Best place for selling Lego?
Peppermint_M replied to The Yellow Brick's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I also heard that you can sell things well across local sales sites like Gumtree. -
Guys, you need to try and keep too much focus off the TV stuff, some people get grumpy about it.

Action Theme Forum and You!
Peppermint_M replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Do people want indexed MOCs? I have noticed that it can create clutter from users posting comments on very old threads. Also, as mentioned before, a lot of the MOCs on the forum are dead pictures which makes a list that is incomplete to me... -
Aw, look at his little arms! Great Dinosaur there. Most impressive.

Why aren't there any large transparent Lego plates?
Peppermint_M replied to Takanuinuva's topic in General LEGO Discussion
True, but they have a bulkier design being Duplo and all, not quite the same tolerances as a system scale brick. It is still true that the plastics for transparent parts are more brittle than the ABS for regular bricks, the tolerances and wearing isn't anywhere near the same. -
Why aren't there any large transparent Lego plates?
Peppermint_M replied to Takanuinuva's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The plastic used for transparent parts is too brittle to safely use to create large parts. It is more likely to break or shatter. I think that is also what stops wholly transparent minifigures too. -
Well, that was exactly what I said right there. I wrote an article about what makes an Action Theme and I am sure that a really Space based Pirate theme would go to SF.

What franchise should Lego do next?
Peppermint_M replied to frikandeloorlog's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I could go for a CMF series at the least. The Looney Looney Looney Bugs Bunny Movie was a childhood staple on VHS for me and I loved the toons when they were on TV. -
From World Trees to deep jungles. Eurobrick's Fellow Skalldyr has created a great adventure for Johnny Thunder and Co. Come and take a look in Action and Adventure Themes!

Orient Expedition - Jungle Encounter

Oh my word this is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing it, I love to see Johnny Thunder MOCs. More in depth reply once I am back from work.- 16 replies

So I just found a brand new use. Attaching keyrings! The thin edge will easily slip in between the loops on the keychain, making it wide enough to thread through other loops/zip pulls. I was just putting one of my new keychains to a backpack and was having a mare of a time. When I went to find something to help I saw one of my many brick separators, an lo! It worked.

The real question is, would a new pirate theme be A&A or Pirates? Historic didn't want anything to do with Nexo Knights once the whole concept was revealed, but even pirates that belong in a Ninjago like universe could possibly still be welcome in Pirates itself. Not to mention, a more space-faring pirate would be at home in SciFi. Then again, this is all just speculation on the possibility of more pirates.

As such, I'll close this down and move it out the way in a little while. Thanks for linking the thread there.

Eesh, that is an amazing build. It looks fantastic all lit up. Things like the Brickworld Collab absolutely define what Eurobricks is. A community that comes together to build some unreal creations by cooperating and working with each other. Looking forward to what you're going to try to build and top this!

I like IKEA furniture. (Ah,Billy Bookcase, ) And they produce some very nice glass cabinets. It would be cool if they make things perfect for LEGO storage/display. Also the potential for soft furnishings is always welcome.

Guys, pure TV talk is for the dedicated thread in LEGO Media and Gaming, thanks. As for more sets? Ninjago is an "evergreen" theme now to TLG. The success means they are going to keep releasing sets as certainly as City. I don't follow the TV series, but the formula of bikes/cars/mecha/dragons could survive reboots or Next Generation-ing any plot-line.

Sets fall apart, and I can't seem to fix it.
Peppermint_M replied to Ubenmaat's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That is really really weird. I have heard about damage to elements, but never something like this! Hopefully someone here can explain more. Meanwhile: Do you have photos? It might help diagnose the problem.
