  1. Friendly warning. Any more thread bumping like this might mean a more formal discussion with staff.
  2. Please, don't post in threads from the decade before last. These are so old now that they are mostly irrelevant.
  3. Yup. We have taken measures.
  4. "Cheers!" Aysu inclined the glass before taking a sip. The flavour certainly suited the colour and the fizz tickled nicely. "Great stuff. My thanks."
  5. With her name down for a job, Aysu was feeling a little more settled, she had gotten used to the atmospherics of the station and could feel the travel stale-ness in her mouth. Recalling that the offer of refreshments had been made, she went back to the bar. "Uh barkeep, got anything rose flavoured? It doesn't have to be true rose, but pink and fizzy is a must." She grinned. "Even something close to my hair colour."
  6. Most of the staff I meet in Cardiff are all fans of something LEGO related. They collect keychains or CMFs, or use BaM to make figures of their friends and family. Some of them recognise me (to be fair they are friends of my brother in law who used to work in the same mall) and ask about projects of mine. Also, they get a little impressed to see the LUG stickers on my VIP card. No comment on Grump status
  7. Hello and welcome. You are in luck, we have a whole section of the forum for the Digital Design software. I am sure it will have useful information. https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/forum/128-lego-digital-designer-and-other-digital-tools/
  8. On a post, you should have the option to report it, or if you search up a member profile, you can report that too. This generates a report to staff, flagging up an issue. Only staff can see reports, so you can outline any concerns when you a report that gives us an idea on what is going on with the less obvious problems. (Spam etc)
  9. Hope you enjoy the forum! I do not have the patience to do well with stud.io, but there are a lot of others who love to use it
  10. Eh, I got 'im. I notice words and I see when people are using my handle. No one signs up with a name so close with positive participation in mind.
  11. If it is all technic, then the Technic Section would be good. Otherwise, Special Themes is the best place for it.
  12. Checking out the jobs board, Aysu considered the work. "Pot shots at garbage. My specialty!" She scrawled her name under Mission 3: Rat Catchers
  13. Depending on the MOC theme. A Star Wars MOC would go in the Star Wars section. A Technic MOC in the Technic section etc. What kind of MOC is it?
  14. So time for me to blunder about trying to figure out how to play! Hence why I have created a young character, just escaped her parents to explore the universe! The names are Turkish, I liked how they sounded and what they mean, so I will be throwing smatterings of Turkish words into what Aysu says and thinks. My plan is to go for sniper meta; throw points at range and accuracy skills once I get rolling. Did I get everything right in character creation?
  15. "Great cool." Aysu grinned, it was a shabby weapon but it was hers. Her gun, some goggles and the few credits she had left after getting here were all she had to her name. Holding onto her things was important if she wanted to get by as a hero for hire. Looking around the space she blinked, there were a lot of different halk here, just like all the trade stations growing up. The familiar was good. "I'm fine for a drink. Might want something later. Gotta get used to the taste of the air before I get anything in me." She went seeking a seat, ready to get more of a feel for the place.
  16. Stepping along the classy looking floor tiles, Aysu whistled in appreciation. "Could get a real good price on this when the whole place junks." She was pretty sure these were the quietest floors she walked on off-planet. Passing by the bar she spotted a fancy type, looked in charge. "Uh, not gotta check any weapons in here right? Dock guys said it depended on the joint?"

  18. One shop situation is not scalable to the area or global market. While one store may struggle to shift stock, others can't keep the shelves full. It depends on the demographics of the area, the usual customers to the store and the pricing structure the shop applies. TLG want success in China, so they are creating products that will appeal to the market. Here in the UK, only official LEGO shop and the online shop stock the New Year and Monkie Kid sets. That is because they are not pushing to sell to UK consumers. Locally, shops compete with each other, so different sets get a variety of prices. In one branch of a supermarket, a mid-size store, sets were at clearance pricing to make shelf space. In another, much larger store, these sets were at standard price as the shelf space was greater. The prices and stock levels were no indication of popularity, it simply showed stock priority for individual locations.
  19. Stop posting this thread. You have one. That's all you need.
  20. So an interesting thing I have seen in a few shops has been the end of "girls section" and "boys section" and the inclusion of more other brand building toys. Take ASDA for example (formerly part of Walmart, recently sold off) at one time, there was a dedicated good half of the shelving dedicated to LEGO product alone and a section in the "Girls toys" that had Friends and Princesses. Now, there is a new arrangement, all the LEGO is in one place, just like all the Funko is in one place, all the Hot Wheels is in one place. However, there is also Zuru branded baseplates and minifigures and a few other random construction sets there. There is no less LEGO stock, but there are more competitor brands. No Mega though, which is interesting.
  21. Uh. The Mid 90s is not recent... We are in 2021. 1995 was twenty-six years ago, that's over a quarter of a century. (Gosh. Makes me feel old!) But I digress. The recent Fairground people pack had generic yellow figures with hairstyles favoured/coded/natural to black people. However, for actual skin tones, you are stuck with hard to find licensed ones
  22. Hallo. I a mod have noticed. Imma zap this to community before some pedant gets their panties in a twist.
  23. Thanks all It was a blast to display and helped me realise one idea, there are more to come. Also, @Bob De Quatre have you seen my tag? Stud Lover!!
  24. Hi guys! I am looking forward to playing once this launches. Time to start brainstorming a character!
