Wonderful I was going to ask for advice on planet building techniques, but from this picture I think I have some ideas now. (Please don't make a Death Star. Original and creative over Lucas-pap any day )

Random stuff. A wooden mini drawer set. Ikea storage boxes. DIY screw sorters, gatchapon eggs, the inserts from the lego Advent Calanders i have and the mesh/net bags that clothes tablets for washing machiens go in.

It was taken down the Thames to mirror the "real thing" from a few months back when the British Museam had a huge egyptian exhibit. Certainly a good promotion for Lego and Legoland, ferrying their newest attraction down the river for all to see. Bit slow to catch up though, it was last week they did it (ok ,so i do compulsivly google the word Lego in google news...).

It's for Land of the Pharoes. I believe the statue is somewhat of a centerpiece. It looks to be a new land in Legoland in place of Brickadilly's circus. From promotional posters at the park it looked like a roller coaster/shooter ride, like the Universal Studios MIB ride.

Thanks I don't mind if i win or lose, I just like to show other's my MOCs. I have a few more round craft to make in a smilar way after my first shopping list for a custom mecha has been fulfilled. =D.

Well, it's on the entry grid now It depresses me that my last entry got several ratings, comments and views on MOCpages within minutes of my posting it because it was star wars related . While other better MOCs have half as many views in over a year or more.

You know, no one is really explaining themselves. There are a few exceptions. I suppose people do check their brains at the door when entering the internet.

I will love to try and help. Is this a planned rebuild of any of the locals/characters therin or a no holds barred build of any place or person you wish?

The Macross Plus OST. Love that anime.

I have one that was a most fortuitouse find in a used bookshop and I am determined to make at least one or two from Lego. The artwork is amazing and my new mission is to find the rest, or at least Starliners and Space Wrecks. And here is Jen Strakhiver herself: Female Insectoid head, black ponytail, a modified deep jungle torso and dark red legs. The gun is one from the Indiana Jones sets.

I love Alpha Team, if it weren't for Agents I'd be hunting down the sets to complete my collection . I just wish people would read the past six pages and give an explanation as to why they rate these themes in "worst" and "best" instead of just listing them.

Yes, the large variety of colours was going against the grain for me (I love making super sleek one or two colour ships) but I wanted to fit the two fire engine red handtrucks, plus I was going for the retro sf using pictures from The Terran Trade Authority Handbook as refrence, they were technicolour . The backstory was a way of explaining it away, after all, if you were a slave on a scrap yard asteriod would you bother with colour co-ordination . I would now like to make more round ships in a uniform colour. If only digital designer had the parts I needed , it takes 18 hinged parts to make one circle...

Why thank you. It was an awkward build but I am pleased with the end result. I just wish I had a better photo setup so I could take nicer pictures.

There is Cam with glasses and a grey vest (with tools printed on torso) Cam in Diving Gear (flippers and a flipperless) and Cam in mission deep sea uniform with no diving gear and the very cool Dark Red long hair. I found them on the bricklink catalogue.
-
*hesitant hand raising* There are three Cams in Alpha Team. One in a grey vest/bodywarmer one in diving gear (I dont count the flipperless one and the full diving gear ones as different myself, so technicaly it could be four...) and one in the Mission Deep Sea uniform with hair instead of diving gear. Cam was my favourite character and minifig of the theme so I know lots...

Here is my entry. As you can see I managed to incorperate both of my handtrucks =D.

Thumbnail, click for a larger image and more views This is both my entry for the Handtruck Building Contest and an experiment in round ships. When I bought the Exo-Force set with two circles I was most excited by it. This method was perfect . So I incorperate them into my ship. With a giant di-core fusion engine powering the slip booster, a smaller retro rocket for in atmosphere and short distant hops The Haniver is a pretty fast ship. Built using only parts from the scrap-teriods of Tartarus as an escape for Jen Strakhiver. She now hunts pirates and slavers like those who sent her to Tartarus in the first place, the most feared bounty hunter on the linear plane. Kudos for anyone who gets where the name of the ship came from. =D

I tried and faild I only have two handtrucks so I was limited to a plan to use them as a torso. Unfortunately this didn't work well at all... I might try another later just for fun. My entry is now a spaceship, of which I am yet to get pictures as the batteries died on my camera just as I was about to take the photo . I will have pictures up tommorrow and will link them here as well as in their topic and at reasonably clever.

I saw that today and it was really funny. I love that webcomic (prepared me somewhat for when I joined, dipping my toe in the Lego fanboy community...) I still stand with the switch the heads and hands around, hey presto *racial equality* dah daaa.
-
I have to say that I rate town/city space and pirates in a league of their own. They are the staple of Lego and are great in all respects, only getting better over the years.
-
As you can see from the fantastic Irregular Webcomic DMM has made bun hair piece using a blob of sculpy on a normal hair piece.

Agents is a wonderful and rightful succcessor to Alpha Team. I like both themes and I am planning on a combination (It's already happening in my "layout" after my last playtime ) I think its going to be the best theme for a while yet, or at least until we get SPIII in the UK. I'm just wondering what those guys problems with the respective themes are, every opinion is intresting (I did sociology for fun at A-Level... Says a lot really) I can understand the dislike of Power Miners (not accept, just understand.) and Galidor was a whole pile of meh.

All that has ever happened to me is a double charge . Luckily it was sorted before my credit card bill came. I had a discount but I forgot to use it.

Thank you. I have another Mech to post also. Think I will add it here: The Desert Fox Delta. The Desert Fox Delta is a military mech for sand based combat. Sealed to protect it from the scouring particles that cripple normal mecha. Camoflaged and well armoured it is perfect for stealthy or melee combat. An advanced cooling/heating system means it can be out at all hours without shutting down or leaving the pilot in discomfort. Armed with a energy bulb launcher (that can be adapted quickly to fire rocks, in a pinch) and a large close combat hammer it is handy to have in a fight. I made lots more like this in different colours, none were as good though.

I agree that people should explain themselves better (darklego86, Justin... hmmm?) But defending theme's people have a set opinion on won't work. Sadly the internet is full of stuborn and hard headed people and sometimes one must admit defeat (which I am here, over the stop the arguments request. It ain't going to work, I respect that and move on) So a brief question. What puts Agents in your list darklego? And why Alpha Team in your's Justin? (If its the arctic stuff I totally agree, Zed was the only decent addition at that point) Ho hum.
