See, I have noticed a rise in stock, in the local Tesco and ASDA supermarkets. The ASDA never had much in stock before (it was opposite the biggest Woolworths shop in South Wales) but on Sunday I found it to have the new Town, Pirate and Powe Miner sets in stock and quite a lot of Creator too. The Tesco went from some small selection of Tiny Turbos to Star Wars and Indiana Jones (I have yet to go to the larger on that is further away.) The entertainer on the other hand is a TFOLs dream... nothing but Star Wars and Bionicle on their shelves *miffed* but it is in Cardiff so I do not have to go there often. In conclusion. I am quite lucky to have found lots of Lego of varying themes in shops I visit on a more than twice weekly basis.

AHRGADGFSNHASDFBGD The Fleshtone.. It BURNNNNNNNNS Otherwise: Coolsome, nice and simple looking (my fighters end up looking a bit OTT due to hyperactive greebling...) I love the tail and the wings. Very swooshable

Which sets should i buy from Power Miners? ASDA has all but the Crystal Sweeper and the Stone Chopper in stock. I am going to get the mine mech for my little brother but I'm not sure which sets I should get for myself.

A nice combination of The Edge Chronicles and Stardust. Love the detail and the construction of the rock. (saw this on Brothers Brick first).

"Meals on Keels" *coined by me, right now =D*

I was hoping that the uniforms could be like the torso of Drakov's avatar figure, in a varying colour scheme (mmm Star Trek-y) but the new ones look like they are cool (hopefully a clearer picture will reveal what they look like)

He could tow the rowing boat for his fellow soldiers!

Well, thanks for all the compliments. All I got on MOC pages was a lecture in marine biology .

What book are you reading right now?
Peppermint_M replied to Norrington's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Large amounts of graphic novel and The Number of the Beast by Heinlein. (I really want to make a MOC of Gay Deceiver from the picture on the cover ) -
There is a chip shop in Cardiff I adore, but I usualy end up in Burger King for a quick bite at lunch when im shopping. The Wheatsheath in Hay-on-Wye is my favourite pub lunch place, once a year I go used book shopping with my grandparents and that is where we have a nice meal at lunch.

Best Figure: Finally! An awesome female minifig with a decent role to play! Worst: Hmm, cannot decide, will have to go with anything Clone Wars... Not only do they cost the earth and are flesh tone, they have freaky fugly faces that will not fit into any of the sparse flesh tone fig MOCs/vigs I make.

Any sign of a release date? Or if they are going to be at a Toy Fair any time soon? I really like the idea of flying cars and the K9 'bot looks great (Although a little SPD...). This is one of my big themes for 2009. (dudes, there is a lot of argument going on... It is a childrens toy remember, things are supposed to be Fun )

"Your first (And next) giant builds"
Peppermint_M replied to darkrebellion's topic in General LEGO Discussion
My first really big build was the Sentai Fortress, last year after we went to Legoland Windsor, it took me most of the day to build on a large plywood sheet on the loft floor (transport and a hard surface rolled into one) The next was probably the Agents Truck and the Volcano Base. I think I will be buying the big castle Market at some point, so that will be my next biggest build. For MOCs, I once took three hours building a castle (of which I am yet to photograph.) that is rather big. -
Well, I bought Kraken Attackin' and Cannon Battle today and was messing around with it once I had finished them. Thus Lt Kraken was born. As you can see I am also using as my avatar until such a time as I am happy with my sig fig. Enjoy.

Where are those motorcycles from! Great MOC too.

What New Themes or Sets would you like TLG to make?
Peppermint_M replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That would be very very useful. -
Original or New. Which do you prefer?
Peppermint_M replied to Joey Lock's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I like both, while the older sets have their nostalgic charm, the new ones have a much more astheticaly pleasing form, with the new curved and sloped parts. -
Hah! Take that mandalorian! :P (I can diss things I know a lot about =D) So that's what Legoland parks do with the models after they have been used and abused by the slack jawed public...

Historic? I'd have to say I really liked the Adventurers boxes and the Alpha Team boxes.
-
*Mouth Wide Open* Is that most of it? I have never seen so much intact classic space in one place. All I have is some very faded torsos and old old logo slopes.
-
o0 00 oo That is one of the best anime inspired MOCs I have ever seen. It looks just like the source! In awe.
-
I like the Agents boxes, maybe its the spy thriller style set up or the mission document case silver of the border, but I think they look great.
-
I don't really mind. I use all the different shades of grey/bley to create decorative masonry, after all, real castles have a variation in colour, why not Lego ones? As for the browns, I love it, forests are no longer one uniform colour brown

That'd never work for me :(

Printed paper layouts. I have (an aborted until such a time as I have space) plan for a table town which included an A0 printed road grid. Ok, so I does look sort of playmat, but if you combine a roadway print with a brickbuilt road (useing filler instead of bley and covering with the paper printed road designs) instead of using a playmat road layout or bankrupting amounts of bley. You can extend it in A4 chunks and it wouldn't really look like a playmat.
