If I like it, it lasts as long as I want it too. From a few days to years. I always take photos of the ones I deem "worthy". If I do not like it, apart it goes and I build a new one

Sad news about MOC Master Nate “nnenn” Nielsen
Peppermint_M replied to Siegfried's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I loved that he valued form over purism. The Brothers Brick interview also showed something we had in common, Terran Trade Authority books. I'll miss his MOCs and the way he pushed the boundaries. He has left a legacy on the community, with is online MOCs and those he helped. My thoughts are with is family, let's hope his boys can have comfort from the awesome memories he must have left them. -
I'm not sure how it works.... *I shall try to cure Diesel with my necklace*

Post about Cartoons and Anime you like
Peppermint_M replied to Peppermint_M's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Animated films can count if you like. I have to say Phineas & Ferb is a great series. It's just so random and any cartoon with an animated version of Bowling for Soup featured is good in my book . -
Fantastic coat and hair. I'd have made the white a tiny little bit wider (huge FMA fan, just finished chapter 106!!). That is a cool and accurate figure though I look forward to future characters.

Stripe Nice car, it looks perfectly scaled for the right "look" and it fits into a town without looking strange. Very sporty.

Independent Retailers in North Wales. I went to one in Conwy, one in Carnarfon and one in Porthmadog, all had varied Cobi sets for sale. I also found a few other brands around the place.I seek out clones these days, for the fun extras and for review.

Heh, I may get a few more sets. The only problem is the price, which isn't so reasonable down here. I got that set for £9.99, which was a pretty good price. Online it runs a bit higher and then you have to add shipping.

I believe this is it. The entire Set List.

Ave Citizens! I was on holiday last week and was astounded by the lack of Lego in any independent toy shop. The supermarkets had some, but most were the small 6am to 9pm ones that have a minimal stock of impulse sets and battle packs (ergo, I had these sets already). However there was plenty of Cobi sets. Cobi is a Poland based brick manufacturer with links to Best Lock (or they did have). This set is part of their rather interesting Romans and Barbarians line. The box: Usual warnings about part sizes, a part count, an image of the built set and a mention of its compatibility with other brands in three popular European languages. The back of the box shows some other sets within the theme. As per usual there is an assortment of polybags, a sticker sheet and some instructions. A random page of instructions. They may look a pain to follow, but the parts list with each step and the little roman chappies with numbered shields make it an easy enough build. The sticker sheet. There are extra stickers, it looks to be a standard inclusion in all sets within the theme and is thus equipped with all the stickers any set would require. Interesting parts. This is the motherlode, two different SNOT bricks, a single SNOT stud and a 1x4 SNOT plate! Wonderfully useful. We also have two nicely moulded wheel, a sprue with a spear, sword and standard. The small grey parts are a hook/clip and a pair of holed poles. These poles clip to a standard axel via their holes. The horse looks more horse like, with curves and suchlike. The clear section line is a minor annoyance. The finished set. I realised while re-sizing images, I missed off the flag. It was nothing spectacular so no loss! The horse is clipped to the cart, the building is temple-ish and has a shield stuck to it. Our Roman soldier has a nice accurate helmet with plume, a shield, a sword and a lovely printed torso. All weapons are minifig compatible, as modelled by Citizen Quarryman, but they will slide from a figures grip if held at an angle. The headgear fits nice and snugly. Overall, the plastic quality is fantastic. The light grey is slightly darker than Lego, and the brown isn’t a shade Lego produce but otherwise it is indistinguishable from the major brand. In fact, in one of the small toyshops I went in, the shopkeeper had some Lego and some Cobi combined, to prove they fit together and I was hard pressed to tell the two apart. The set has an interesting design and is a theme Lego has not yet ventured into, so Cobi seems to be one of the better competitors out there. Coming Soon: Cobi Soldiers and Toyriffic Pirate Boat!

Right oh. I am assuming you have MS Paint? (if you are running windows) Open the photo with this programme and then "ctrl" and "w" this should open a little box for resizing. You can ut a percentage in the box (make sure it is the same for both virtical and horizontal). Then you simply save the image and re-upload to brickshelf. It should auto resize the images too (but i am not 100% sure on that). I have added this to the index

Thanks for the review A lot of Mega Brands stuff passes me by as I persue the stranger sets from china Just a BTW: You can deeplink images from brickshelf before they get moderated. It is in the deeplinking tutorial. EDIT: Wow, WhiteFang, that was swift! Second Edit: You might want to resize those pictures a tad... just a heads up -_-;;

Well, apart from the horses, the bricks are fine. It's no more likely to crack than anything TLG produces... Also: Thanks Larry, I was wondering what had happened to Little White Dragon, not seen much by them around anymore. Found a shop full of Toyriffic sets on holiday this past week, so I bought a Pirates set

World Racers Summer 2010
Peppermint_M replied to The Green Brick Giant's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I have already built two car MOCs for the racings... Also have some huge MOCs to build for this theme. This is the theme this year. My speed racer cars being together still is sort of a sign. -
Its just the star wars kiddies prateek, remember, we are much more awesome as people. I for one am glad that they continue to sequester themselves in a hive of ABS and Midichlorians.

I do not like being tranquilised. Where was my dashing and brave fiancee to protect me eh? I thought there were laws about not being punished for alleged sins of your elders? -
Clear Film over the toilet bowl. You know, the plastic stuff you can keep food fresh with/safe with? If you put it taut over the bowl and make sure it is hidden under the seat. Then someone goes to use it and the taut plastic causes "splasback"

Should I be concerned by the " "? Now to work at my new task!

In the other photos you have a whole bunch of Star Wars figures, I can't name them (not a huge fan of the franchise). Plenty of Star Wars by the look of things. The only thing that looks clone brand is the silver pole with the wide top and base. The rest seems to be dinosaurs and Star Wars.
