  1. Danger is irrelevant! Captain Shear lives life on the edge! The very rim-nest point of the edge! As for the challenge, yes it was on Flickr's LEGO Steampunk Group. I read about it but I never really bothered to finish my rock until SlyOwl's fantastic entry reminded me that it ended today. I thought it was as good as any other excuse to get Steampunk again.
  2. The Anorthosite Ascendant is a small floating rock, outfitted to nip around the lumbering basalt fortress rocks and luxury marble yacht-rocks all the while outrunning the air navy. Captain Felsic Shear and his crewmen Coal and Pyrite pillage the high skies! For the Floating Rock Contest
  3. "I wonder if it is another beast?" Tesni said, following Skrall ahead of the others.
  4. Tesni nodded to her party leader and stretched out her arms to work the aches off, following after him. <OoC, I should be full health now the battle is over? Nature Child gives me my HP up again according to my level>
  5. Tesni dropped the arm, and turned her attention to Guard H.
  6. Enraged that her foe had once again escaped Tesni thrust her blade towards him.
  7. This little chap is my fourth Dragon, the only one decent enough to be posted. While the others used different parts and often look out of proportion, this one is a success. I started playing with my dice and as I worked out what they could do, I got this made. More Here (once moderated)
  8. Action Themes have a high turnover rate due to line competition mostly. While the big three of Star Wars, Town/City and Historic (Pirates, Castle etc) are evergreen and always cycling through subthemes due to the popularity of the subject, a lot of others have a job to compete with them. Take into account the Action Themes are often two or three to a year and then you have competition within that niche. It is sad but true. As for development, they probably have projections on how well the theme will sell through toy and media patterns (Loads of Dinosaur things this year, not just LEGO) and develop the product line and life accordingly.
  9. Well, it certainly has a future until a lot of kids get their dark age. Last night as I MOCed in the loft, my younger brother and his two friends. After ten minutes going through all my Ninjago figures, discussing why Nya's face print has been changed for the new wave of sets. Comparing the old ninja clothes to their new ones and the kendo/zx pros and cons over plain old and DX... Then I dug out the few spinners I had and they battled in an old lid I used to use for my Beyblades until his friends had to go home. Taking it in turns for one on one and reading/looking at the cards I have accumalated... They love it, but there were one or two arguments over the Loss of Power Miners and the fact that Atlantis is over. I think Ninjago can last as long as the ideas do. I hope it carries on a while, I am loving the parts and prints.
  10. Don't you mean movie monsters? All of them may have a basis in older folklore, but these monsters here were popularised by films... Mythological would be The Gorgon, Sphinx, Hell Hounds etc
  11. Well, found a few more cartoons recently, waiting for some of them to air and others I have watched through. The TRON series looks really cool. Green Lantern TAS was ok, not the premise I would have chosen but I am sure they have a reason for what happened plot wise As for anime, been watching Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, a much better adaptation of the manga.
  12. And this is what keeps me from The Brickish... Sorry guys
  13. The Last Dragon Hunter by Jasper FForde. Great stuff.
  14. Hi, welcome to the forum. If you want to join the special Ladies group there is more information Here. Enjoy the site.
  15. Guard F paled at the war cry but was bolstered by his fellows answering shout. Tesni swung Cysgodion at her foe.
  16. The red starred jumpsuit also came in a number of sets in the 90s. For the simple trade of my ceralbox prize (we used to take it in turns on who got the prize) I got the figure and the blue stars'n'stripes helmet from my little brother.
  17. Oh woe, I miss my Frenzy that was my favourite bit of being a barbarian. Anywho, I really need to catch up on the monster dex, you guys just keep on making so many cool and interesting enemies!
  18. The arm is from Galidor. *shudder* Here The big thing is This it fires little balls you can load into it. I have a memory for parts, sometimes I wish this was more usefulll
  19. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=43006 I would say use the search function, but it can get so confused... This was also about 3 pages deep. Go ahead and post in that thread. I'll close this after you confirm.
  20. Welcome Playing Lego with the kids is great, I sometimes share my build space with my 10 year old brother and his friends and we always have great fun. Hope to see some cool superhero MOCs from you pair!
  21. I am not the world, I wants to seeeee them.
  22. I have seen plants and green bricks but never any green plates (My local shop has tan plates though, yummy).
  23. Well, I am buying Huntress, Tiny Titans and Youg Justice from DC, Warehouse 13 and the Project Superpowers spinoffs from Dynamite. The reboot really smooshed my comics buying. Still hanging on for JSA on Earth 2. Sigh, Johns, Morrison... Your work got me into comics and now your meddling has made me fed up of comics.
  24. The glancing blow barely hurt, Tesni faced the attacker, Guard F. "My turn now"
  25. Tesni grinned as the man fled, turning her attention back to Guard D she. Drawing Cysgodion the purple power came rushing back. "Shall we play?"
