Red Moon 2 Confirmation & Discussion
Peppermint_M replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
See, this is what happens when I decide to be social and spend the day at my friends house with no internt. -
I know it sounds like a crazy idea, but can we use this pump to drain the pool? Does anyone think it is worth a try? Oh great voice in the sky, can I try emptying the pool, as my fishing seemed to pay off last time...

Heroica RPG - Quest#19: Let's Start a Riot
Peppermint_M replied to Zepher's topic in The Heroica Archive
At the talk of betrayal Tesni growled and Cysgodion flared, a growl of a preadator from before the brothers left their caves. "You will be certain that I shall sort my issue with these arguing milkmaides and overgrown hearth rugs." She spat "They should hope for a swift end at enemy hands over me and my sword." Gripping the hilt of her blade until her knuckles whitened, Tesni took some deep breaths "Un. Dae. Tri. Pedwar. Pump. Chwech. Saith. Oeth. Naw. Deg" The rage subsided and she looked to Skrall. "Party leader, how should these soldiers go to war?" The coming battle should help her soothe the rage she felt. -
Um, if I started the quest: Level 15 Berserker Power: 23 Health: 31/31 Gold: 480 Inventory: Cysgodion the Great Sword of Darkness (WP: 8, Darkness) And now I am Level 18 with a WP:11 Sword as my default equipped weapon, I think my Power should be higher than 24... As for the battle, I'll figure it out

Cysgodion wrethed his wielder in a purple mist, the stone glowing slightly in the moonlight. Battle was coming and comrades were at risk. "We will free them..." a voice whispered in the breeze. -

<My Power should be 28 as I have Cysgodion equipped as default and I got one extra at level up, at least if my maths is right> "Well, she worships Zoot, as far as I can tell. Mayhaps the tale is of her and she owes a debt to him or his? The chaos she creates can be made into power for herself. I do not like to tangle myself in causes, not since my last quest anyway. Black and White swap places depending on which side you are on." Tesni paused and stowed her weapons near the wildgrass and softbirch 'bed' she had created. "All I know is she needs to be defeated. Now party leader, I shall sleep in readyness for war." -

"Fanciful stories eh? I do not know if she speaks of herself, but the grey of life dictates that us the short lived brothers see only chaos." Tesni gave Cryfder and Cysgodion a clean and sat to watch the fire. She was not worried about a war, she was strong and fast. -
The Future of Ninjago
Peppermint_M replied to ReZourceman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
While I can agree with certain aspects of the argument, I disagree with others. There is no less creativity inherent in Ninjago than there is in any other theme. While there is competetive play it is not resorting to killing and death, some characters are already dead and the Skeletons are so completely fantasy that only the most coddled of children would be disturbed by it. Now snakes, snakes have been an enemy of man since ancient times, from the very start of the Bible to countless mythologies globally and certainly in the last few centuries after the spread of Christianity and the teaching of the Old Testament reached so many cultures. Cultures left untouched by these teachings until relatively recently also ascribe villany, menace and other negative traits to snakes. Albiet, they are humaniod in Ninjago which is a flight of fantasy, snakes are a realistic enemy. As for agression in children, that is a child's world. Certainly, healthy minded children would never dream of really inflicting such attacks on people or animals but their roleplay and story telling often tumble into combat and competition, the defined manner in which they can win by points or the fall of another contender is a reassuring boundary and teaching tool for the chaos of an inexperienced mind. As for imagination. I recently found I had two spinners (I had packed one away after getting the figure and other parts out) and my younger brother and his friends spent a happy hour spinning different figures against each other with excited cries and shouts of enjoyment. After his friends had left we played as many "grudge matches" (Pirate vs Ninja, Luke vs Darth Vader, Punk Rocker vs Hip Hopper etc) as we could think of with comentary and chatter and imagination not to mention historical education (Highlander vs Soldier, Viking vs Farmer, etc) and a smattering of physics as to what and why would spin best/win best. While I agree that people will disagree with this summation and opinion as I disagree with others, there is nothing inherently wrong with Ninjago. -
Ideas for New Action Themes
Peppermint_M replied to Perry the Platypus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'm all for anything with racing in it I would say that Wipeout is a bit more SF than Action though. But a racing theme a little like World Racers but with anime styled characters and tropes would be awesome, I have been building more racers recently... (PS, Watch Redline, it is epic) -

"Fall beast!" The chaos had hurt but the healing miracle had soothed the burns, it was time to make a last ditch effort against this monster. -

Not really. Logwyn, try reading the thread a little more and checking the first post for pics. I know this many pages can be off-putting but at the same time it isn't too hard to find out where the thread has progressed to from the most recent posts. Why don't you intorduce yourself here too? -

A nagging voice from Cysgodion inched through to Tesni, past her roar. Dropping Cryfder she took Cysgodion and made a charge at the beast. -

Yes, some people have their collection in their loft and do not have time to dash up and build after 9pm GMT and then have to go to sleep and then work and are hoping that they can get back from work by 5:00pm so they can complete the challenge and post it minus any penalisations even if it takes a long time. -

"Demon and Holy? Accursed beast! Cryfder, I am in need of your strength!" Tesni slid Cysgodion home and grabbed Cryfder from her bag. At the cry of strength, a neutral magik returned the god given blade to it's combat size with a gleam and the barbarian weilder growled. "To battle, from the front. Beast of Zoot, I'll splatter your guts!!" -

Challenge Begin Maybe I will be able to figure something out? -
Thick skinned dear, Tesni did grow up virually alone on a mountain with a priestess to raise her. In a culture who's idea of courtship was fighting each other to a standstill (Lit: Collapse on the ground exhausted) If none could best the other they were deemed a good match, of course some false falls were taken but that too shows they are suited to each other. Tesni bested everyone, Midtribe and Lowtribe boys were never that impressive to her. I seem to remember Tarn also spouting sweet nothigns to Ellaria... Who became quite distressed when he aimed at Tesni...

Post about Cartoons and Anime you like
Peppermint_M replied to Peppermint_M's topic in Culture & Multimedia
My sister did her Film Studies dissertation on that series. I did enjoy it, especially for the hard science involved. Also Fii is badass. (One of my favourite VAs too) Currently I am watching Busou Renkin and You're Under Arrest. A classic anime from a creator I like, one of the first I watched and a newer anime that I discovered after it was trailered on a DVD I recently bought. You're Under Arrest is a great cop show while Busou Renkin it a clever homage to Shonen anime. -
See, Tesni is so scary no one even tries a love lpague on her Maybe it's the sword...
