Lat night my sister bought a LEGO set. My sister is 13, she is ten years younger than me and merrily worked her way through all the stereotypical phases girls have. Polly Pocket, Barbie, Littlist Petshop (Plush and Plastic toys). Pink, pink and more pink. She was never a fan of LEGO, she only ever wanted it when we were at LEGOLAND Windsor for our annual family trip and even then she was busy arguing for some themed flexi foam rubbish from the castle over actual LEGO sets. Last night at the supermarket, as I finished paying for my treats and my mother started chequing her groceries my little sister came rushing up begging to get something. I thought it would be some nail varnish or maybe some art supplies (She gave up toys at 11 upon entering secondary school although nail art and watercolours are her new hobbies) while my mum packed and I chatted to my brother about LEGO my sister ran up and proudly presented her latest purchase. The Splash Pool. My sister, who really only liked to play a bit of LEGO, who made the pinkest figure of herself during a family game and who never ever wanted to buy a set chose one for herself at an age when most are getting out of LEGO. So give that some thought.

I also build a lot of model planes and Zoids that require pinpoint sticker accuracy. Strangely though, the last LEGO stickers I applied was to the Speed Racer cars because I wanted to keep them built.

Post about Cartoons and Anime you like
Peppermint_M replied to Peppermint_M's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I didn't watch the X-Men anime, when my favourite characters either do not appear or have a 30-second cameo in the last episode I would rather seek out something else. I am working through the old cartoon, I found the DVDs really cheap a while back. Looking forward to the DC Nation shorts. The Aardman one I have seen was fab, going to have to take a gander at the interwebz for them as I doubt CN in the UK will play them when I can watch. Can't wait for new Teen Titans shorts and the others. -
What was the last movie you watched?
Peppermint_M replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I thought it was Red Rackhams Treasure and Secret of the Unicorn? I got those two for my little brother after we went to see the film. It was the first time he had asked to see a film that the rest of the family wasn't interested in. As he is getting into reading I thought Tin Tin books would be perfect after how much he enjoyed the film. -
Get a fine and sharp craft knife and use the tip of the blade to hod the sticker at the top-most edge/corner. Leave the brick on a flat surface and line the sticker up with the brick. Lay the bottom edge (the one opposite to where it is sat on the knife)near the brick. Make one final alignment check and then press the sticker down firmly, releasing the final edge/corner from the knife a the last moment.

Heroica RPG - Quest#19: Let's Start a Riot
Peppermint_M replied to Zepher's topic in The Heroica Archive
Tesni looked at Guard C and grinned, the man had already seen her relieve two og his superiors of life. He would be an easy target. -
Guys, this is not a chat board. Take this as a warning.

The arena has opened, I want to see if anyone wants to try a bit of one on one.
-
Go go Power Rangers, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.. From Fangy I am guessing after a comment in one of the Ninjago threads
-
Oh, just a brief note: I have re-hosted my Heroica picture, the one in my sig now is located where it won't be knocked out.
-
Ah, Tesni will be having some fun when she gets back

Tesni gave a grim smile, satisfaction at a job well done. Sighting Guard Captain B, she ran at him roaring. -
Awesome Cronk! Bashing evil has got a whole lot easier!

Heroica RPG - Quest#19: Let's Start a Riot

Their leader was strongest. Tesni focused on him and charged from the front row. -
This should really be in the special Brickworld forum. I'll shuffle it over now.
-
Well, I suppose Tesni made quite an impact as for the buster sword, I made a not so pureist Cloud figure long long ago and just removed all the cutting, gluing and painting from my instructions.

A lightsaber hilt, 1x1 upright clip and a 1x6 tile. You need to pose the figure so that the tile is facing outwards to avoid ugly stud issues. If you are ok with custom then Brick TW have a really nice sword:

Ideas for New Action Themes
Peppermint_M replied to Perry the Platypus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
So Alpha Team Sub Zero re-hash then? And Power Miners the return... All these will cycle through in time, I would really like something new new. -
It isn't absolutely impossible to use the site on a phone, it just isn't as engrossing as on a computer. However a mobile version would be greatly reduced creating the same problem as using the regular site.... I managed well enough during my week in London. The Cloud let me connect and I was able to read what I felt was important and post in a Heroica quest with little problem. Then again my android is pretty nifty for that.

Outright asking for a tag never works. Does the opposite in fact.
-
Um, ew. Can anyone share their clues?

Heroica RPG - Quest#19: Let's Start a Riot
Peppermint_M replied to Zepher's topic in The Heroica Archive
Tesni eyed the troops following, hopefully they would be of a better calibre than their leaders. "Let us finish this swiftly." She called out. Drawing level with Haldor, who it seemed was often conflicted, she whispered, "If I know my friend Jess and warrior in arms Hoke, they escaped and are fighting their way through to us. Never fear, we are likely to come upon them slaying the enemies on our blind side while we battle foes at hand. They are strong and able fighters. Wren misstepped when she sought to capture them." She clapped him on the shoulder as gently as she could. "Let her find you fighting heroically for her and view your victory with pride." With that she moved ahead, ready to face the battle first.
