Latest stats for the LDD forum: 18th June we had 1371 post, 96.700 views and almost 200 Official sets in LDD One month later and we're up to 1786 posts, 136.000 views and over 340 official sets created in LDD. Well, this all changed now that TLG made the Imperial Shuttle UCS, which was originally designed by a polish fan, and later adopted/modified slightly by TLG. This means that TLG can (and now have) purchased the rights to designs made by fans. No, the real story is that it's just too much work to gather and screen entries sent in my fans. It just takes to much time. This is the same situation in all large corporations, where they will not even talk to inventors/designers approaching them if they do not have a patent. Besides most fans does not design with Lego Legal building principes, so the models had to be re-done by TLG anyway.

Wonderful job prateek! I love the issues you (and everyone else) finds while builiding official set. Firstly, because you discover a lot of brick errors in LDD. I report every each and one of them to TLG, and hopefully they will be fixed in the next release. Secondly, because it's interesting to find cases where the Lego designers themselves may have cheated and used illegal building techniqes . Since LDD so strictly enforces Legal principles, it's kind of interesting to spot the TLG mistakes However, when you (and everyone else) build your models, it would be much appreciated if you could explain a bit more exactly what is not working, specially if you think you bumped into a new issue. Perhaps a screenshot of each of the problems, or more detailed instructions. For example in the Wintershop, I can't seem to figure out why the roof could not be placed. And those "1x1 grey round bricks" that wouldn't fit on the "technic pieces". Which ones do you mean? If you can take a screenshot and add some clearyfing arrows or so, it'd be great. PS: Regarding 64566 and x64, they should be in LDD

Some years ago I designed a MOC in LDD of a luxury vessel. My wife persuaded me to send some screenshots to the company that made the product. I got a reply back in just a few days - "buy the bricks, build it and send it to us". So I did. The price was 800 USD, and I made a modest profit of 50 USD. It was a fun thing, and now I can call myself a professional Lego designer

Assessing the entries - A world first NOTE: Since the LXF-files are attached you can download the MOC's and turn them around, investigate building techniques, zoom in etc. This is, to our knowledge, a unique and world first in the history of Lego building contests - to be able to really have an in-depth look at the entries. This means that if you want you can judge not only by looks, but also by building technique. It's your choice. A final word All designs in this contest is the sole property of the creator.

Well, not in the present version, but we're all hoping for the next version BTW - why the double post? You just asked if it was possbile to bend hoses in this topic, and at the same time posted a request to do exactly that in the "4.0 Whish list"

I looked at Mon Calamari for example, and that did not have it. Did you read my question carefully? Or am I completely blind looking at the Mon Calamari instructions EDIT again: apperantly yes, because you are right! Also @ Siegfried - the 7744 does not seem to have studs attached to the lattice area. Or where did you mean?

Hear ye, hear ye! I'm calling out to the mighty collective knowledge of the EB community My simple question is: In which sets has the following part (4151b) been used where other bricks/studs in some way have been attached to the diagonal lattice area? (Just to make it double clear, I'm not talking about the 1 stud wide border area or the 2x2 center area, but the lattice in between).

Excellent idea. I think something similar has been discussed earlier, but maybe not exactly "Saved Camera Angle".
