home-made bricks?
Superkalle replied to LDDtechnician's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Are you talking about physcial bricks or digital bricks? If physcial, you'd be better of posting this in Lego General If digital, it must have been in LDraw, because to my knowledge no one has yet managed to do any custom bricks for LDD. -

Hello there Raul and welcome to the LDD forum. I've got to be honest - I don't understand what you mean with your wish list and "more generic bricks". Do you mean that those brick should be in DesignByMe? -
1) There is a boundary issue with that hair piece - it's been reported to TLG and should be fixed in LDD4 2) OK - no problem. I didn't realize Medium Dark Flesh was not in LDD. (Side note: LEGO MaterialID for that color is 312 - Medium Nougat. It might work if you manually (in the LXF-file) change the color to 312 and then open in LDD). In any case, I know that color has been added to LDD4.

Can you paste a snippet of the generated xml-code please. -
That is a neat idea. Is the frame available in brown in real Lego?

LDD problem with manual
Superkalle replied to lakuda's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Interesting. I never thought of this before. I guess the LDD developers didn't bother to add colors to instructions since LU Mode is for internal use only. -

Hi and welcome to the forum. You are among peers here

Well, I have to agree with Calabar 1) You cannot upload reverse-engineered sets that are not released. The 3366 images found on the internet for example are marked "confidential" and as a rule here Eurobricks we don't post such images. You may link to them, but not deeplink images or upload images at the EB server. And creating an LDD version of such un-released set is basically the same as a photo of it. 2) When re-creating official sets, you need to use the official instructions as a base line. Perhaps the 3366 was easy to do, but it's not always you see the internal structure of a model. So, I'm sorry, but I have to remove these pics from your post. Hope you see the reason and that you are OK with it.

The multi-colored theme could have to do with the flag of Dubai. At least it seems the middle part is the colors of flag?

Interesting idea. I guess the best way to know if there are any potential customers is to try. You could put an ad up on billboards in your area, in local toyshops, or in in your local newspaper - just to see if anyone responds. What were you thinking of charging?

Technics master Zblj has put together this beautiful Vector Racer, that with its special wheels can go in any direction. Click on to read the full story. You can also download the blueprint as an LDD file if you fancy that.

This is among the best I've seen! I mean, what more can you ask for: 1) Great idea 2) Well designed (in LDD partly) 3) Built with physcial bricks 4) Documented with a great video 5) Shared LXF in the best of AFOL spirit You deserve a medal. EDIT: Oh, I found out why 3L Pins are illegal nowadays. It's because the ridge on the middle of the pin that would force it to be compressed when placed, and this is not liked at TLG. But I guess you allready knew that. EDIT2: The bug you found, can you describe it some more please? -
