  1. Oh, crap. I should have known there would be something that slipped. No, but serioudly, I got the pic from TLG and I didn't think about it. Let's keep this to ourselves (I'm sure no-one else will read this post, he, he) Well, this is probably because you are behind a proxy. I have the same problem when I try to run LDD at work.
  2. Hi there Welcome to the LDD forum. Sorry I could not answer before. I've been busy with a certain interview I see Brickdoctor has helped you with most questions. I'll try with the one remaining. 3. A feature to import BL part lists is under way in LDD Manager. Should be ready wihtin a week. Well, that was quick Don't hesitate to ask more questions, but perhaps not so many at a time. It's easier to handle fewer at a time.
  3. Well, if you can reproduce the error, it could be interesting to report to TLG. Sometimes these sort of problems with huge files can pinpoint stack overflows or other nasty-to-spot-and-debug errors. Anyway, old graphics drivers is often a cause of problems on the Win platform, but I assume those are all up to date
  4. Well, I tried it with a minifig against a wall just now and there is a small off-set that forces the torso to tilt forward a few degress if you press the legs firmly against a wall. So, I'm also 99% sure () that the way it is in LDD now is the correct modelling, since that is how it looks with the physcial minfig.
  5. Wow, that is amazing. Not often we get that kind of serious brick geometry error reported! Good find! I'll send it in to the LDD guys.
  6. What do you mean. Not sure I follow. No, sorry. Everything I asked is in the interview. Thanks. Actually I drew a lot of question from everything that has been said here in the forum the past 6 months.
  7. Thanks for that information Mike. Much appreciated. And naturally, welcome to the LDD forum
  8. Try again now. I'm also going to fix so you can download without being logged on.
  9. Exclusive interview with Lego Digital Designer Development Manager Not to long ago I got a opportunity to make an interview with the LDD development Manager in Billund, and naturally jumped to the occasion. It resulted in a nice talk about the new LDD 4 and it's features, but also gave a glimpse into the future of LDD and the thoughts thay lay behind the development of the software. So without further a due, here is the Eurobricks LDD forum exclusive Interview. Go here to download PDF and discuss.
  10. Hello fellow LDD users! Not to long ago I got a fantastic opportunity to make an interview with the LDD development Manager Claus Matthiesen, and naturally I jumped to the occasion. It resulted in a nice talk about the new LDD 4 and it's features, but also gave a glimpse into the future of LDD and the thoughts that lay behind the development of Lego Digital Designer. So without further a due, I present to you the EB LDD forum exclusive LDD Interview. Download the PDF below and be sure to give your comments here in this thread If you are not logged into EB, use this link to download the PDF. 11. The way I understand it, a physical minifig torso is slightly "off-set" backwards relative the rear of the legs. I.e. with physcial bricks you cannot place a minifig with the back against a wall without bending him forwards a bit. Hence, the way it works now in LDD is actually correct and "in system".
  12. Just got a mail from the LDD Development team in Billund: It seems we missed the ldraw.xml file, that maps to and from ldr files, in LDD 4.0. Can you share this file on Eurobricks? Sure, no problem. So, if you are planning to use the import/export to LDR files (Ldraw), you need to download the file below, unzip and put in the same folder as the LDD.exe. Then import and export from and to ldr files should then work again. ldraw.zip
  13. News in the short format: A new Architecture set is on the way, the 21007 Rockefeller Center Discuss it here
  14. Well, in all honesty it was a guess. The settings are in the preferences.ini file, so I thought it could work to set them to "no" and apperantly it did.
  15. Aanchir, do you have a list of more colors where you don't know the official name and color, and I can try to do some investigations. It would also be good with some (fairly recent) example sets and parts where that color is used. BTW: I'm now proclamining you our LDD Master of LEGO Colors I think he meant - who did the original set that you modded into LDD4 version?
  16. I'm adding a feature in LDD Manager that will allow you to take a set list from BrickLink and output a LXF-file with those parts in the right colors. (Can't belive I haven't done this before.) Should be done in less then a week. It's also been up as a feature proposal to allow custom made "filter by boxes". Well, that is a good question. And I agree.
  17. Is this connection used in any official set?
  18. Thanks for the info DLuders I was just about to paste another link, but then discovered that it was the one you allready mentioned
  19. Hi there KielDaMan Welcome to this thread Regarding appliant to rules or not, we have our index master Calabar here, so if you made any mistakes, you will soon hear from him
  20. OK, thanks for clarifying. I just wonder how they could make such a blunder in the conversion from CAD-data to tessilated LDD geometries. But I guess we hardcore LDD fans have seen it all
  21. Absolutely amazing work. And the way you share your building techniques with the community give you a royal star in my book. Top notch. Remind me to buy you a beer at the next EB Event!
  22. I'm not sure I understand that remark either. Be nice, OK.
