Trust me, it is! I was sure this had been a technic part first, but I guess not. I used it for the base of one of my technic minis. The spring box can work miracles for steering, but it can also overheat your motor. Of the parts shown in the first post, I use quite a lot of them, but only the technic-ish ones. I would never use the foot, where does that come in to technic? But some of those pieces already are in technic, so... yeah!

I'm hoping the 1 is meant to go at the end. There's a lot more piece for you!

You finally got your wish, Jammie! 2009 would be a bit hasty, but maybe all of those random speculations add up. Phase II Clones VS. Mando's anyone? By the way, don't say I'm contradicting myself. I never said it was impossible, just that it was speculation.

This has been on my mind for a while now. I've never purchased a Slam Action racers set, and I'm curious as to the mechanism used. Do you push down and a bar pushes the car forward? I think that would be the most logical way. I can't quite figure it out though. It's really simple, I know, but I can't find any good pictures on brickshelf. If you can provide pictures that would be a great help! Thanks.

I don't know where you live, so it may be different, but here in the USA, it varies when they process the order, but there is a next day shipping offer. I think there's regular, priority, and next day. I'm not sure what their names are, but there are 3 levels of shipping speed.

8448 - Remote
Darth Legolas replied to Kamil's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
You did a really nice job here! Now I want a Supercar! The electronics are all in the perfect spot. You can change directions with the speed remote? I really wish I knew how it worked. It's pretty confusing to me. Teach me? -
You're all too cautious! I do it all the time. Have the minifig hands in the arms, it gives you more to pull on. Just pop em' off. Usually, I twist them to the back. For legs, you just twist back and forth while slowly pulling the leg off. Easy as pie!

Thanks so much for the review! This one's my favorite! I never realized the lightsaber bar was shorter until I saw this! I love the retro space gun, and I've always loved the helmet. Of course, the helmets not as new. I'm really looking forward to these! It's a great variety of pieces for each one. By the way, was the garbage story true? Also, was it easy to tell what pieces were inside the bag?

Hi! I was waiting for a moderator to arrive here. Will you please put the Mini Imperial Shuttle in the first post? It's been a week since we've gotten pictures. Thanks! @The AT-AT news: I'm not so sure about that. It would be a really bad move on Lego's part to try that, considering pretty much all of those minifigs are obtainable easily. I think they'll change that.

As Kaitan said (below) it's not final. It's a pretty final-looking cover, but it doesn't indicate what's inside the set at all, so it will probably be changed. What catalogue was it? I like this cover, but usually the brickmaster books will show the actual set inside. Thanks!

Found on brickshelf: Lego Brickmaster book cover! Credit to jawaspain. The mini Lambda still needs to be in the first post, too!

Sorry. Can the mini Imperial Shuttle pic from Inconspicious or VBBN get in the first post? It is a 2010 set after all: That was pretty random. The most on topic response I could make though!
-
As far as I can remember, Lego still is on it's last legs with the SW license. They'll get as much as they can out now. Though there has been talk of 2011 sets. Did something happen that I completely missed? Anyway, this is probably the stupidest discussion ever brought up in this topic. I can't believe there were more than 4 posts on it. Next year's turn is PT/CW, but is there a next year?

Okay... but why does he want to shoot a rip-off minifig?

Avatar MINIs: Scorpion Gunship and Valkyrie Shuttle
Darth Legolas replied to Legostein's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Well, I think the Scorpion Gunship looks a little off, I really, really love the Shuttle! It was my favorite spaceship from the movie (One of two! ) but it looked so real in the movie, and it looks totally awesome in Lego! I'd really love to see a mothership! It's complicated, but if anyone can mini-it, you can! -
Hmm... I don't really get it. The prediction Mayan is for January 1st, 2012, not Christmas 2012! By the way, I don't know what country you live in, but generally a MOC about Christmas would have snow on the ground. I get the whole, door opening and gun firing, but I don't know who the army guy in the basement is. It looks nice, but can you explain this MOC to me? EDIT: So that's a rip-off minifig... making more sense, but I still don't get it at all. What's it got to do with Christmas in 2012?
-
I agree. This was a really excellent stop motion, and that (large) word really sums it all up. The comedy bit was pretty bad, to be honest, but that action was so smooth, bit by bit, it must have taken over a million isolations! I could just imagine the work put into this. Arm up (click,) arm up (click...) It's incredible though! Nice find!

You did a ton more work than I did to motorize my windmill. It's currently unmotorized and just a knob, but I just ran axles up the center and used 12 tooth bevel gears to motorize through the bottom and then out the top. The inside essentially looks like an S. Very nice job on the house! It looks very nice, the simplicity works well with the windmill.

I'm sure this will be merged with the Red Vader Helmet topic as all Vader and Mando helmet topics are. The Boba's are definitely customs, a little pricey but I would take that deal for Mandos. Possibly, I'd have to compare prices though. The white vader helmet's probably a rip-off.

Okay, thanks! Board running normally again, just a little slower than usual.

That's entirely true, but for other sets, functions like linear actuators need motors, or they really don't work well. The thing is, without the motors, things would get old. The newer Off Roader from 2008 would be exactly like every other Super Car if it weren't for the new motor clearance feature. Lego doesn't want to get stale. For example, it's really impossible to think of operating the new Crane Truck without a motor. All the clutch systems are a lot more fun with motors. All of the sets you listed really aren't unique without motors.] Pneumatics are ideal for self-handling Technic sets, but there aren't many around. Can you actually see 8043 coming out later this year without motors in it? There would be nothing fun about it.
-
8042 is a pneumatics set from 1993! You went a little off topic here, but I have a few comments here. It's true that the Race Truck should've had a motor. I really don't think you can complain about the sets that can have a motor, as that's totally optional, and they do have knobs! I, for one thing, think the motor works much, much better than a knob in the Front Loader. The knob makes it boring, and slow, the motor makes it functional, really! The snow groomer really doesn't have much room for a motor, but I will agree again that the Tractor and Trailer should have had a motor. If you're really a fan though, it's pretty easy to modify the sets, but I have to ask you one question. You can't simply go on complaining about too many motors. That's like saying there are too many dollars. There has to be a reason against motors besides the fact that there are quite a few. So what's your real beef with motors?
