Some disappointing repeats with no colour changes for the disco diva and Cyclops. The alien is superb though! -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion

This list has me much more excited than the lacklustre s12 figs. Unicorns and space troopers! -
Welcome ckobear. Enjoy the forums!

Looks great with the smaller figures as SarahJoy suggested. My favourite is number 11.

Very nice colors, it fits in beautifully. Our pink paint factories are doing a good trade at the moment ;) I especially like the roof.

This is rather wonderful. It does look very busy and quite crowded even in the second iteration. I'm fine with that though. You have put in a lot of effort and it looks great.

I've been following this with fascination on both of your flickr feeds. Absolutely outstanding art work from both of you!

Farmer Maggot's Work Horse - AoM: Mill Phase I

That crazy roof is wonderful. Fantastically creative, and a very nice farming scene. -
Beautiful. I really love the spiral look on the branches, it's a very nice effect. And I love the rest of it too! The path is superb. I kind of agree that you could have a more effective boundary between tree and tower (I couldn't, but you could ) Good luck with all your hectic tasks.

I would really like it. Especially if we get some new Dragon moulds or oriental prints. And Armour.

What Rob said. I started collecting these bootlegs to check if the value of my sdcc collection was under threat. Now I buy them mostly because they are items that lego does not make.

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion

It's pretty hard to build small with a Greco-Roman look. I sympathise with that. But I totally agree with Mike, ultimately you should build to impress only one person: yourself. I'm a bit stuck on my current build. I have built facades as usual for the back drop. It looks reasonably good. I haven't started on the foreground detail yet. But if I want to display in the big HK show this year which is in 3 weeks, I'll have to build the back too. Problem is, I'm out of bricks. And I'm going to Japan for a week before the show. And, I have to get started on the next 2 challenges... So I'm not sure if I should start again, or just finish it off quickly and move on... -
Yes please for princess and jester. Thank you very much! I bought the princess from a reseller but there were no instructions...

I've had quite a few cheese slopes crack on the short side at the base. -
We will miss you Simon. I hope you enjoy your time in the military, make good friends, and stay safe. Sure hope Nalderic can stay Drow free until you return!

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion

Welcome cookiesdad! You are very welcome to chose anywhere you like. There are plenty of mages in GoH, so a mage school makes sense. I would suggest to locate it in Petraea, where it could be a school within our world famous university, but anywhere is fine really. The guild theme set up between GoH and LCC is extremely close, so it's very easy to use a build in both. You are welcome to use a CCC build here for a free build, but I think it would not be allowed for a competition build within GoH. The colour palette and minifigs are not really an issue, especially within Kaliphlin, you can use what you feel comfortable with. -
My LoL set is excellent quality and the accessories are superb. Just started opening the SY FF set. For any waverers, it is an absolute must buy! It is not clear from the pictures, but the human torch is completely trans orange, with chest, back and leg flame printing. If this was a Lego figure we would all be in paroxysms of ecstasy and rapture. Serious contender for best minifig ever, and it's not even Lego! The silver surfer is excellent and the big fig thing is very nice too although it's a bit annoying that it doesn't match official colours. The Pyro head as already noted is perfect for dare devil. This is by far the best clone set yet. You will not regret buying it. Now, how to army build those torches....?

I'm up for a collab. The dwarven side has a lot of the top talent at the moment. I hope that Ecc and kabel will ensure the sides are reasonably evenly balanced before we start.

The fence piece is fantastic, it appears in the prelim pictures for the sets that haven't appeared on brick set, I think it was sand green in one and maybe lilac in the other. Loads of great pieces and colours in the elves range, the six stem flower is a win and the hair pieces look good too. We could do some nice guerrilla builds in Avalonia -
I would love to see a Sci Fi GoH along mccoyed's suggested line. GoH was amazing at rekindling interest in the history forum. I don't participate in SoNE because of the Star Wars angle. My feedback on Bob's proposal so far is that a monthly challenge is a bit too frequent and could lead to building burn out.

Wow. I remember the book was about 50 pages. That's about 3 times as much content stretching as even The Hobbit! -
A LEGO reality show... a good idea or a bad one?
robuko replied to XAxles's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Televised Mocolympics or iron builder would be really fascinating. Like others, I worry the personal drama would be the focus rather than the exposure to new cool building techniques. I don't watch television any more so I am not sure of recent reality formats. I guess they would have to somehow create the drama by making the builders share a space or have visibility into each others' WIPs? -

Wow, lots of Kali is going with the dwarves. It was nice in the last challenge that so many of us were on the hospital side. I don't have many dwarves of much bley
