Wonderful, I missed the voting. Why the time for it was so short?! Ok, maybe for people who monitoring the forum 24/7 it's ok, but sure not for everybody.

[MINI] Grand Prix Racer
AKM_76 replied to Jeroen Ottens's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This is a very noticeable entry, it was sure one of my most favorite one, but after a saw that green rubber thingy in the front part of the actual build I decided that it really spoils everything, making it aesthetically unacceptable, sorry. -
Sorry, but I still don't understand where exactly I can actually vote? And how to spread 20 points you mentioned across 'all' entries which are much more then 20? Edited: find almost all answers, except one - when we'll be able to vote?

[WIP] Yellow Supercar
AKM_76 replied to VKTechnic's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Don't like yellow for the wheels. It always give a model a toy-look in my opinion. Grey or black seems to be so much better choice. -

All this motors talk reminded me the The Counselor (2013) movie, the ending. Some MOC's anybody? Or maybe even official set (education-dacta)?- 27 replies

Just saw some videos of upcomnig game HOMEWORLD: Shipbreakers and was amazed by the design style of the vehicles. If they could be partnered with LEGO I'll sure buy everything about it. Check the videos for the inspiration, it fits the LEGO ideally in my opinion: http://blackbirdinteractive.com/media/ p.s. I'm sorry to mention that I've made another similar topic in the Sci-Fi branch of the forum yesterday but I really want more people to see it.

Open wheel car
AKM_76 replied to W0lF's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Almost sure there are some hidden engineering mistakes, but overall conception is so good, want it to be released as official set, sure I'll buy it. Miss Racers series so much, this car could fit it perfectly.- 14 replies

Custom parts
AKM_76 replied to AKM_76's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It is just a matter of choice. I'm, personally, not going to modify any parts, since I consider it as a cheat. The real challenge is to design a strong build with what you have. Or, imagine, as the extreme opposite state, one could just clue everything just in any way he wants, making some crazy illegal connections of parts. Anyway he's not going to be put in jail for that. -

Lego Technic 2013 sets & info
AKM_76 replied to captainmib's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I'm just also very exited about 42003. What if there will be new RC components introduced or Imagine new parts, such as new wheels/tires :) So strange that there is new Lego catalogs for the second half of 2013 released and nothing about 42003 mentioned. -
Lego Technic 2013 sets & info
AKM_76 replied to captainmib's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Where the information about 42003 actually come from? There was some official announcement or what? -
Yes, sure. My sets are not so exposed to dust so some brush wipes are enough to solve this. You may search this forum, I don't remember the exact topic, but they discussed the best solutions how to wash and to dry parts with minimum damage to them, using a towel, a soap (and maybe a toothbrush?). ...just thought that the water when it dries leave some noticeable signs, if you as crazy as I am then I'd suggest using distilled water :D

Ok, bein a rather crazy person I feel sad now after reading that information about white parts. I know that nothing lasts forever including first of all myself but anyway. Do you know if they add that unflameable chemistry to the parts with another colors? So that parts also change they color slightly over time but it is not so noticeable as with whites?
-
So there is absolutely no chance that the white brick from 80-s can be as white as the modern one? Or it depends of luck?
-
I suppose that the sunlight, even not direct one, is quite serious problem for the sets on display (white parts). Or they can change the colors even if stored in dark boxes? Hard to believe.
-
So I can summarize that parts can stay in mint condition through years if treated well, independently if they are in the assembled sets or separated. Very happy to know it.

Hi I'd like to discuss here the cases which cause parts wear. The cases I know are: 1) Direct sunlight - discoloration of white parts 2) Dust - obvious 3) Smoking - parts absorb smoke 4) Pets and children - dents, etc... 5) Stickers problems (don't worry personally, I don't use them) There is some more exotic cases I read about on this forum: 5) Tire deformation on a heavy assembled sets on a display by the time I'm especially interested to know about the parts wear in the assembled sets, Technic and System. Here must be a collectors with a big experience who can tell if the bricks loose their connection abilities being assembled through years? Please add more parts wear cases you know. 6) Wear of the gears by heavy load

Your parts wishlist
AKM_76 replied to skppo's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Towball connection for the shock absorbers, seems very important for me. Somehow possible now (using 57515 part) but I'd like to see more easy way. -
