Glad I could help! Keep the updates coming. Jamie

I like it! Can't wait to see it done. I really like seeing WIPs like this were we can follow along. As for the head, yes, it is blocky. Have you tried using slopes, to make it appear more round, like this. If you want, I can send you the file for it. I only did the what you see, but, would be happy to help. I'm not suggesting you do this for the whole head, just maybe on the bottom like I have it. To give a rounder look. I also used different colors so you can see what I did. SHould be able to figure it out. But, you may have re-work the head to accommodate the bricks with studs on side. Hope this helps, Jamie

Yeah, the size took me by surprise as well. I knew it was big, but, didn't think it was that big. It is the size of the ISD. But, like you said, we should have known with the size of the canopy. Just looking at it on my computer screen in LDD, didn't do it justice. Build it, you will be happy you did. Jamie

I used one that had a "Brick" printed on it. Bricklink is running really slow right now and won't let me pull up a pic. It is about 3 feet wide, wing tip to wing tip. 2 feet long, front to back. About 10 inches high with the base. Hope this helps, Jamie

No problem! If your going to stick to 30562 I would say Dark Bluish Gray, since there are bricks in the middle of them to help support the model. If you use a trans color, you may be able to see those bricks. As for Market Street and Cafe' Corner, I honestly don't remember how much they were. I did it years ago. Jamie

First welcome to Eurobricks! Now to your questions. I have "Bricklinked" several MOCs, Cafe' Corner, and Market Street. It was lot of fun and if you do it right and take your time can save you alot of money. My suggestions are: DON'T paint your Lego! But, I am a "purist". Those panels can't be seen from front and really can't be seen from the sides, they are on the bottom of the model. The shoulder cover them, to a point. Use 2577 or 48092 instead. Yes, blue and some yellow can not be seen, but, I think you use yellow around the eyes. Can't remember 100%. Another suggestion would be to use Maskatrons instructions for this: http://www.brickshel...ery.cgi?f=67875 . I have 10018 but, never really liked the look of it so I made the one I posted above. Hope this helps and good luck, Jamie

For the front, I like 2. But, for the inside, I like a bit of both. Maybe try work aspects of both in. The tan base with gray paths under the pillars and gray slopes on the sides. With tan pillars and arches over head. I like it!! Keep up the great work and keep us posted. Do you plan on making it in real bricks. Jamie

I just order all the pieces for this model and the total was $447.28. I also re-worked the model in LDD. Thire 5's original model has 4312 pieces, mine has 4436. I'm not sure about the dimensions yet. I "borrowed" your idea of using college colors and made mine Blue and Maize (yellow). I'm nicknaming my "Wolverine Squadron". If you follow Thire 5's instructions the yellow and light blue pieces can be any color you want. They are not visible in the final model. It just started building mine, so I can post more pics later. I like the Planets sets, and I miss them, even if I'm the only one
jamie75 replied to Blondie-Wan's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I loved the idea of the MINIs combined with figures. I also liked the planets themselves, just wish they would have released a clear one, UCS RGS!! But, as much as I loved these, the Micro Fighters are, IMO, a better business decision by Lego. You still get a "MINI" and a figure, but, the figure can fit in the craft. Jamie -
[LDD MOC] Rebels Phoenix Squadron and Blade Wing
jamie75 replied to TheNerdyOne_'s topic in LEGO Star Wars
I haven't watched Rebels. So I can't comment on how close to the show they are. But, I really like your A-Wing. Small, thin, the engines turned slightly inward. Perfect! As for the B-Wing, do they call it a Blade-Wing in Rebels? It looks cool. I'm not sure I like the idea of a gunner down there. But, it does have a very WWII feel to it. The build is great, thou. Nice done! Jamie -
Nice, I like it! Wish Lego would redo this set. The previous set is almost 15 year old and VERY dated. Jamie
-
Point being, if they were making money off this idea, new parts would be more frequent. Updates would probably be once or twice a year. Ambassadors, make this happen! :) Jamie
-
Personally, as often as I use LDD, daily. I would love to have a access to the Lego designers LDD for a price. Maybe, one of the Ambassadors could say something to Lego about having a free version that is rarely, if ever updated, like now. And having a pay version, that the "real" Lego designers use. Buy a license for a year for $10 or $20. Just a thought, Jamie

I like it! I always liked the Moldy Crow. The only other thing I would suggest to make it more Gunship-ish, is to make the rocket launchers in the middle of the wings. Or separate them and put them close to the wings. Nice job, Jamie

DC Super Heroes - 76052 Batman™ Classic TV Series - Batcave
jamie75 replied to CopMike's topic in LEGO Licensed
This is a day one buy for me. I will be happy to drop $270 on this! Come one March. Which brings me to my question. What do you guys want? You are getting 2526 pieces, if you follow the "loose" rule of 10 ¢ per piece. That brings the price of the set to $252.60. Plus you are getting 9 minifigs. $270 doesn't really seem too high of a price to me. Maybe by about $20, but, that is all. Jamie -
The UCS Hype. What will 2017 bring? (40th Anniversary)
jamie75 replied to Major_Ton's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Seeing as how 2017 is the anniversary of Star Wars: A New Hope. And the ships featured in that movie are mainly the X-Wings, Y-Wings, Star Destroyers, Millennium Falcon, TIE Fighters, Vader's TIE, and the Blockade Runner. A-Wings, B-Wings, TIE Interceptors, TIE Bombers, Snowspeeders, AT-AT's and AT-ST's and Imperial Shuttles didn't show up till ESB or ROTJ. I would like to see a model of something from Star Wars: A New Hope's anniversary. The one that started it all! With that said, I would say a new Y-Wing or a new Blockade Runner. Jamie -
PLEASE NO SPOILERS Episode VII. Is it good?
jamie75 replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in Culture & Multimedia
It was a great movie. Way better than the prequels, on par with the originals, IMO. I really liked Rey, she will hopefully be the future of Star Wars. Not sure about Finn yet. Poe was cool too. Kylo Ren I'm not sure about yet, either. Seeing Han and Chewie again was awesome. Saw it twice. Once Thursday night. Again, this morning. Probably see one of 2 more times next week. Jamie -
Have tickets for the 7 PM IMAX showing tomorrow. My 12 year old son and I are going. Then, I have a ticket for the 9 AM show Friday morning when the kids are in school. Jamie

I'm left handed! My right hand is useless for writing, but, gets by for most everything else. Lefty's are al"right"!' Jamie

This! And Zuckess and 4-LOM, to round out the bounty hunters. The only other one I would like to see Lego try is Amanaman. Jamie
-
Not sure how it would turn out, but, if you have a dewback. Try that without the tail? Nice MOC thou! Jamie

[MOC] The Moldy Crow 2015 with Custom Minifigs
jamie75 replied to Suboken Brick Project's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Looks Good! I saw your ship a while back when I was looking for pics of the Moldy Crow. Had to make one for my collection. Any plans on making a Raven's Claw? Jamie- 19 replies
