I think they could quite easily be re-used as some form of monk or other such clerical type person, yeah. They do remind me of monks robes, perhaps if you used a different set of legs. The DX torsos not so much. Perhaps in City as a robe for a boxer though.

SP3 lives on. my favourite theme. This is fantastic, great work as always. might try this myself, sadly in a different colour though. I have few purple pieces!

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Rocketbilly replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
These look great. Wonder how they've turned up so early? Anyhow, the female Jedi in the Geonosisan cannon set (Bariss Offee?) seems to have a dark blue cape and hood. This looks good. The escape pod set is my favourite, mainly because of my Stormtrooper fetish. It's about time TLG gave the stormies as much love as they give the Clones, even though in the films they're based on variation is minimal. It's a step in the right direction, though I'm hoping that there will be a set with standard Stormtroopers available soon- but with the printed legs so they match. Can anyone tell if the basic torso design has changed, or if it's just the most recent design with a few scuffs and whatnot printed on too? -
A second Evo 2.0 to combine with some spare Scorpio parts and some miscellaneous pieces to create a lime and yellow Hero Factory figure I designed on Recon Team. He's turned out very well and since I got the set from Amazon, I could create the figure for a fraction of the cost it would have from Recon Team - about £4.49 all told, compared to around £15 for Recon Team including postage. plus a far, far shorter wait.

I thought htis MOC was familiar - I watched a video of it on Youtube earlier today. It's a very good MOC, I really like the shape and the overall aesthetic. The use of Vapor's mask is really, really good and the armour placement is superb.

Why has nobody suggested Ghost Rider yet? I'd love a Ghost Rider minfigure, Johhny Blaze or Danny Ketch... And there's the new movie coming out, too.... having said that, it's out near the beginning of 2012, if Lego were doing anything with the Marvel license for Ghost Rider sets we'd know about it by now. But just the figure would be grand....or an action figure. I'd like that.

Bulk is great, I'd say perhaps with one flaw - he uses the thinner shouldered torso piece, which is fine and all, but it also forces the arms outwards more when they're just hanging at the side of the model. Because he has such bulky forearms with those blade pieces, it does make him look incredibly wide around the hip area when posed with is arms by his side. Apart from that, he's one of the best sets of the Summer wave, in my opinion.

My bad then, I got mixed up. Sorry.

I've had the same problem with the 2.0 helmets, but as mentioned before, not with the 3.0 animal helmets. The 3.0 helmets for me have been so secure I've pulled the head off when trying to remove the helmet. I'd definitely be surprised if it was the head piece or the helmet. I've tested my Surge 2.0 (who's helmet is very loose now) with a brand new middle detail piece from Stormer 2.0 and it was a lot stronger. I believe it's the detail pieces that are sandwiched between the head and helmet that loosen with time and use.

From what I can tell, I think it'll fit. However I think it'll sit a little too high up on the chest to look good. Though I suppose there's nothing like a robot crop top to show off your rock hard robot abs.... Having said that, the pictures aren't the best, and it could very well end up working out.

I've been wondering the same thing. Personally, I don't think Recon Team will continue. Which is a shame.

That's a very good question! here in the UK, lego is very much part of the boys territory in toy shops - sure oftenthe construction toys are all together, but they're almost always with the boys stuff, and alot of places such as supermarkets and high street shops haven't carried the girls ranges before. It's just been big, specialist toy shops.

This all looks great. I think the dart guns will come in black, not white. It would be nice to see the syringe moulded in a transparent colour with a flash of coloured plastic inside to suggest liquid, like we've gotten in a few action figure cabled pieces and the Collectible Minfigures Mad Scientist's flask from series 4. But I'd imagine that might be a bit fiddly to produce, given the size of the syringe piece. Would look great, though. As for the sets, they all look nice, I prefer the lower end of the price point as the bigger the vehicles get, they look less appealing to me but better pictures might change that. A lot of these sets remind me of the first wave of Agents - the smallest one with a Pterodactyl reminds me of the swamp set, and the helicopter especially reminds me of the one in the Turbocar chase and the large off roader reminds me of the similar vehicle in the second wave of Agents sets. But they were nice designs, so it's good to see them again. One thing I've noticed with all of the themes for 2012 is that a lot of them lack a small £3.99/ $5 set. Which is a shame. Unless the smallest set in this theme does indeed meet that price point, but I doubt it somehow - there's a lot of plastic in it.

No hint of it yet. I've not read rumours, either, and we've known what to expect for the rest of the themes for a while now. Maybe they'll release more in the Summer, but for a Winter release I don't think we're in luck. Which certainly is a shame. Let's hope the theme's not a World Racers or Pharaoh's Quest one-shot theme. Though really they've used up a lot of the classic B-Movie tropes already....at least most of the ones that the target audience would be familiar with

Looking good so far! glad to see a Sai piece, though not an accurate one of course. As far as I'm aware, a sai doesn't have a cutting edge as it is so frequently depicted in media as having. But I could be wrong. Either way, these little pics are good. I'm actually kind of disappointed with the snake man figures. I don't like the necks. They might grow on me though.

The bear does look good indeed, and I imagine we'll be seeing pictures of the whole of the 2012 City theme very soon, too. Unless whoever took this picture just took a picture of the bear.... It looks good, anyway, for what it is. I can see a similar thing happening to the horse soon - a similar mould to the original, with added rear-leg articulation. I can see that happening, anyway. Glad to see the crooks are still armed with their trusty red crowbars, too.

Superb! this is a nice MOC in it's own right, but the way you've presented it, and that you've based it off an episode of Kitchen Nightmares is just great. It looks accurate tot he source material. I've got to watch that episode now! nice work

ALl of this sounds great! regarding the new guns - are they by any chance like the long Star Wars blasters, but with a clip on top to attach something? If so I had a feeling this piece we saw on the Chinese eBay style site would be a sort of dart gun for this theme. Also, what are the figures like? what colours, etcetera? thanks for posting this information

This is nice. Did you use the pieces for the second armoured van in the building, or do you still have both of them intact? it'd be cool to have a fleet of them driving round your city. Also the patrons of this particular bank are certainly a random bunch
-
This is really good! looks fragile in places though - is it? even if it is, it doesn't matter because this thing is beautiful!

I think the tan element he's talking about is the new 1X2 Brick with moulded brick wall details that is apparently appearing in the new Ninjago sets, not the new wheelbarrow. Then again, we've had a red crowbar, and while you do get red crowbars in real life, it's certainly not the most common crowbar hue... But yeah, I'm pretty sure the tan element he's referring to in not the wheelbarrow.

Aanchir is right - if you want a more varied answer, then maybe it would be best to ask people not to mention the Galidor figures. Otherwise that's likely all you're going to be hearing about. It's a theme infamous amongst AFOLs for being terrible, and anyone picking even some of the worst Bionicle sets over any one from this theme is likely only doing so because they've not heard of Galidor before. I could be wrong, of course, opinions vary after all but I wouldn't be surprised if Galidor took the most flak out of all of the action figure themes. hAving said that, I've heard a lot of people describe Galidor as not being "proper LEGO" so maybe they wouldn't consider it. Either way, I'm excluding it when I consider my reply I have to say for me it's probably any one of the Bohrok Kal - simply because they're pretty much identical to the original Bohrok, featuring only two new pieces each with the rest just being recolours of previous Bohrok pieces in a a silver colour. But they're still nice sets, I just never liked how they were just essentially recolours of already existing sets. Having said that, the Bohrok style sets themselves were actually rather good. I don't like the Kal because they strike me as being lazy and reused So perhaps not truly deserving as being my choice of worst action figure. But there we go. The Bionicle Stars were a bit naff. Characters that were once far nicer reduced to oddly proportioned, shoddily articulated pieces of piffle. Sure, they were a nice novelty and in some cases good for nostalgia, but really, as actual sets, I think they were definitely lacking and as previosuly mentioned, a bit of a crap ending for the Bionicle range really. Though that new Tahu mask made up for some of it, I have to say!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion

Guns not matching? do you mean the colour in that they don't match the traditional dark stone colour that the revolver is usually in, or because they are a different mold and not a matched pair? as far as I can see (which, admittedly is hard due to the confidential stamp) they're the standard, classic revolver mould but in black. I hope they stay that way - I've wanted this piece in black ever since I got my first Western sets back in the 90's.
