  1. Very nice job! I'm a big fan of Starkiller so I'm always happy to see a custom figure of him. Very accurate. It's a shame that there's not really a better way to approximate his hair, though I suppose the closest thing to do would be to just add some "stubble" to the minifig head and leave the hair off, and that would probably look awful. Great custom.
  2. This is awesome. I'm really liking the geometry here, and the cockpit is really cool. This also looks very sturdy, which I think is quite an achievement given its unorthodox shape. Nice work!
  3. Have a Happy Birthday, Mr. Penguin!
  4. Hopefully this isn't a mistake and people will have them reviewed soon, I'm really looking forward to seeing pics of those trans-purple canopy pieces
  5. This is incredibly atmospheric, and the depth of field and forced perspective really adds a sense of scale to this, and that bat signal is really well done too!
  6. Another Autumnal MOC! I do love a good Autumnal scene, and what's more, this one has corpses in it. I do rather like corpses. The colours here are really nice, and I like how there's a selection of undead, as opposed to just a lot of skeletons repeated. I like to think this is how the monster 4 game would looks if made as a set. Nice work
  7. I think the standard SP3 colour scheme with some red highlights. That's what I did. Also, the fifth member should be some sort of robot, I think.
  8. These are nice, Space Police III is my favourtie theme, it's nice to see it being kept alive. My favourite is the last one too, alien officers were sorely missed in the official theme.
  9. This is really very good, the colours and lighting are beautiful and I love how the trans orange catches the light so well. Great idea to use those plums as leaves, too.
  10. That's a really very awesome selsection of MOCs! my favourite is the bat...I love bats and that one is adorable And Happy Hallowe'en to you too!
  11. I remember liking this set so much when I was little that I tried to make it out of my existing sets, luckily, I had a similar set from this theme (I called them the "No Sharks" sets back then ) so my effort wasn't actually that bad. This is a really nice redux, and I can easily see it as part of one of LEGO's themes - it could even be an Atlantis set if it was built in a different colour scheme and had the obligatory flick-fire missiles. Nice work! brings back some fond memories, too.
  12. I'm not usually one for Technic, but this is a really nice little model, and would make a great companion set to the LEGO Unimog. I like the functionality of it, and I really like how tough and durable it looks.
  13. This is awesome! I really like how bulky and powerful it looks, and the technique for the head is really very good, especially the eyes - it kind of reminds me of the Zords from Power Rangers! I also like how bulky its back is, and the little details there with the "tooth" pieces. Great MOC!
  14. i thogut it was first come, first served? I've had some spares hanging around for a while, perhaps it might be worth sending them off then, though personally I thought waiting four days past the coupon's date would be pushing it. Hopefully you'll get something back...Lego, ideally
  15. The new figures are looking cool, and I like that you can hold two swords on the back in a cross configuration. This could mean there's a sword holder like the one we got with Prince Of Persia sets on the back of either the headscarf or the pauldron piece. Perhaps, even one on each? that would be cool, though I'm not sure how it would work.
  16. Weird. This keeps happening! Very odd. Thanks for the link. I wonder if someone is deliberately doing this?
  17. Honestly, I don't see what all the fuss is about concerning the colour scheme of the human vehicles. Sure, it's not a colour you often see vehicles in, but then again when do you see a giant dinosaur carrying truck anyway? or how often do you look up to see a T-Rex suspended beneath a giant yellow skycrane? these are fantasy vehicles in a fantasy setting. Who's to say that these vehicles don't belong to some sort of company who use the yellow and red as their livery? if not that, then the majority of vehicles give off a distinct heavy machinery vibe, like construction equipment. Yellow is a very common colour for such vehicles. Anyway, my biggest "problem" with the aesthetics of these sets is the spikes present on all of the vehicles! from what I gather - capturing devices, tranquilizer guns etc. - the humans are attempting to peacefully capture the dinosaurs for study or something, so why are their vehicles covered in spikes? surely impaling a dinosaur isn't the most humane way of catching it! I can't see them being much help with clearing a path through the undergrowth, either.
  18. Great work, as usual! At first I couldn't quite see the likeness, but after a few seconds of examing the pieces it all came together and I have to say certainly does look the part. I also wonder how the Lego community would create Star Wars characters if there was no Star Wars theme from Lego - I also fondly remember building X-Wings out of my UFO sets when I was little before the license came out. Nice work!
  19. Very cool vehicles! I like the APC look of the cross courty vehicle, and the white and tan colour scheme is very nice, especially the camouflage effect, though this seems like more of a military creation than a police on to me, though I'm unfamiliar with the police forces in your country! Also, my favourite part of this is the little snowmobile, that is a really great little creation. Well detailed, brilliantly proportioned and very realistic looking. Well done!
  20. Typically, the new sets turn up around mid-November to the end of December, usually someone gets them a few weeks before everyone else, posts photos, everyone gets jealous and they start to slowly turn up until they become common around January. At least this is what's happened in my experience since joining the Lego community.
  21. Me too!! Do you think we've missed out, then? I assume this is the case.
  22. is there any colour that seems to be the most breakable? just wondering.
  23. I've not had one break yet, either but I'm always absurdly careful with those kinds of joints, so maybe I'm not the best person to answer from personal experience; however I've read reports from around the web that they do indeed break often enough to be a problem.
  24. Me too! and I only got mine, say, just over a month ago. Regarding the Glatorian heads: if they are produced with new joints, wouldn't this be the first time such a joint would be produced in a transparent colour? I know that transparent elements are made of a different plastic, so maybe that will be something that we need to take into consideration when discussing this possible change?
  25. Also, those change certainly weren't subtle; the new life jacket piece and the old one are very different so there's definitely some hope that they'll include a redesigned piece. I just hope that if they do they do it right from the first shipment of sets instead of having some sets with the updated joints and some with the old type. Didn't that happen this year with Jetbug and the old "y" joints?
