  1. That's a good idea. I can imagine something like that appearing. Garmadon got his fortress, after all. It could be some sort of temple or ruin, since the snake people seem to be quite fond of little shrines and temples.
  2. I like the colour scheme here, and the red stripe is a nice detail, I also really like the combination of dark blue and white. this reminds me of older, vintage sets from the 80's and 90's
  3. Just got back from Tesco where I struck gold in the toy aisle - I got the original William Furno set from 2010, and a Breez 2.0 for less than half price. They'd just appeared out of nowhere after being sold out before. I suppose they found these in the back. Perhaps a whole case of 2.0s showed up there a few days ago, but I thought they were full price. When i found the Furno by itself I scanned them all and was pleasantly surprised. They also had the Pharaoh's Quest Cursed Cobra Statue for £13, but I decided against it.
  4. Welcome to EuroBricks! enjoy your time here.
  5. I think this is very cool, well captured and gets the mood just right - though in the more rund own version, perhaps you could add some old dark grey pieces in too? i find that adds a nice run down feel to any MOC, and just adds that extra touch of bleakness to sour the mood...wonderful. That's if you have any of those pieces, of course. Nice work anyhow.
  6. Wonderful entry, the architecture is just superb, and the details with all the junk in the sewer is great. Really nice. Looks like Batman has his work cut out...but I actually think the crocodile is quite cute...I think it's those eyes..and that little smile
  7. This is a well made castle - I can always appreciate a good castle, because every time I try I end up with a few grey cubes with some trees surrounding it, and if I'm lucky some sort of opening gate. I love the angles of the walls, and especially the areas around the windows in the towers; I think that detail makes it. The moat is also very nice, the water effect is great.
  8. Wow! I'm not all that familiar with some of the more recent Pokemon, but these are superb and I recognise a few. Some of these look incredibly complex, but they're certainly well made. Now, where's my old Game Boy? I've suddenly got an urge to play again!
  9. I picked up another copy of Army Men on Patrol today, from the Amazon Black Friday sale. A few weeks ago I bought one for, I think, just under £10 because I was worried this set would be out of production soon. I got it for £5 today - if I'd have waited, I could have bought two for the same price I paid for my first one. Ah well. I also picked up a second Typhoon Turbo Sub for £10 from a local "bargain" emporium.
  10. I know what you mean, I'm like that at times too. I'm just looking at this new piece as a sort of pistol or carbine version of the older piece. I think I prefer this one, anyway; I always considered the original piece to look a little too long - though that may have something to do with the sets the part debuted in having quite long arms to begin with.
  11. I agree. I think that the majority of figures in a battle packshould be the "standard" variety of trooper, and more specialised figures should come one to a box, for variety's sake, and instead appear in other sets. I know that's probably pretty boring, but for me I like my armies to consist mostlyof standard troops, with specialised troops taking up a smaller portion. These droids are usually darker, so I'd prefer it if they were that colour in this set, and then the rusty coloured ones could appear in a set based on the episode they appeared in.
  12. That what tazers are for! The one time I filled a Pick A Brick bag, I tried to fill it so full, it almost burst. A small gap opened in one of the seems. How I envy you Americans with you sturdy, reusable non-splitting plastic cups - you even get a choice of size!. I wish we had something like that in the UK
  13. Nice entry! I feel sorry for those two Rebel soldiers at the front, seeminly oblivious to all of the festive fun behind them I just took apart my copy of this set - now seeing your picture of it has made me want to re-assemble it....but the pieces have been used in a MOC already. HA. Good look anyhow
  14. Personally, I'd go with a pair of the Imperial V Wing Fighters. It's a nice little set, makes a good escort fighter (better as a pair) and it's unlikely LEGO will do a re-make of this - any further V-Wing remakes are likely to be of the more commonly seen Republic variety, I'd imagine. It's a pretty obscure version of the fighter.
  15. This is a magnificent ship for Nnovvember (they are calling it that now, aren't they?) The angles here are just superb, the colouration is great and, as mentioned previously, this reminds me also of Wip3out, one of my favourite games. Wonderful job!
  16. Ahh right, I see. I think it would be cool if you could make these smaller ships dock with the larger one, I've done that a few times before and it's a fun build. Looking forward to seeing your other creations!
  17. Here's my entry: It's Santa's Pod Racer!...terrible quality, but my computer just doesn't seem to resize images properly. Thanks for the raffle, CopMike, and hope everyone has fun!
  18. Exactly; LEGO did unique "dirty" printing on two of the Alien minifigs from the Toy Story Trash Compactor set. It would be nice to have that again here.
  19. That's a shame, you'd think the Sun could spare a set for each AFOL from their massive horde! Well, technically, I didn't win...my girlfriend did, but she entered on my account after I entered and received no email....I assumed it was an instant win...or at least, that's how the Sun's T&Cs sounded to me. I'm expecting there might be a few showing up on eBay now, though. I was expecting them to turn up elsewhere, too - perhaps sold as part of the Halloween assortment in the US - but with Alien Conquest on its way out, I can't see Lego wanting to advertise it much longer, maybe one more wave of sets and then they'll retire this one
  20. Personally I think it changes from year to year - some years sets based on the Original Trilogy may be the more expensive (larger) ones of their wave, the next the more expensive sets may consist mostly of Prequel Trilogy or Clone Wars ones. In general though, it does tend to lean more towards the Clone Wars sets at the time being to me; maybe that's because The Clone Wars is currently "bigger" than the live action films amongst the target audience, so LEGO feels they can charge just that little more for them. Maybe when the £D releases roll around to the Original Trilogy, and the Clone Wars has been going for a long time ( or even finished, depending on when these 3d releases come) then we'll be seeinga great amount of Original Trilogy sets, a resurgence in popularity, and thus the sets produced will be more costly.
  21. I'm a big Blacktron fan, so I think these are great. My favourite are the smaller of the two, but I'm not as keen on the larger one - it just doesn't seem to fit with the others stylistically though it's still rather nice. The small ones look so sleek and aggressive, just how I picture Blacktronships to be
  22. Very nice MOC, I really like all of the details and the shape of the bow. Very realistic. My favourite detail has to be the little fishing net, very realistic.
  23. ME TOO! I also got a few sets that I sent coupons off for thee ADU Jetpacks, two Ninjago Training sets and two copies of The Lab. Considering I didn't get to collect any from the shops this time round, I'm quite happy. They were oddly packaged, though.
  24. What about tr. Bright Green? I think that would look good, though could possibly replace tr. fluore. Green
  25. This is a nice combination of Bionicle, old Hero Factory and the new style of Hero Factory parts. I think the colour scheme is pretty good too, but like others have said, it's a shame the Gorast head doesn't quite match. I still think it looks pretty cool though, especially with your story that the character has mutated - seems unlikely the Hero could choose the colour of the newly mutated body parts to match the rest
