I was actually looking for that hairpiece on Bricklink and he popped up as one of the sets it was included in.

Okay, so about two days after posting my hesitation, I found this set on sale at a LEGO retail store and only yesterday put it together. But, I have to say, the Ultra-Drill Walker is incredible. What a great set! The three figures in this set are my favorite from ANY MM set to date. And the set was quick and fun to build, yet very impressive on my shelf. Glad I got it and thanks again for all the advice and recommendation!

This a very simple yet attractive creation, lacking for better or worse the typical ostentatious nature of the official Agent sets. I think it's pretty great, honestly. But at the same time, I'd love to see whatever tongue and cheek over the top version LEGO might concoct.

I had a brick bucket first, but my first actually minifig scale set was this: I've been a Space fan ever since. I'll always remember it because my dad had taken it out of the box and put it together before he handed it to me. The concept of LEGO being something for me to put together escaped him at first. He was so use to the "some assembly required" type of toy that it didn't quite sink in what kind of toy LEGO was meant to be.

I was thinking the very same thing. Goodness, time really flies by.

Whoa! This is one of the best MOC'd ships I've seen in a long, long while. So cool! The level of detail is great on the ship, and the whale is really well done. Excellent MOC.

This is another one of the many sets I've not found the time to put together yet. Thanks for a great review! I was looking for one a few weeks back so that I could get acquainted with this set before I put it together. I didn't catch this one on sale, sadly.

Thanks for sharing with me the various ways in which you store instructions. Eilif, I store mine in a similar way. In my LEGO room, I've got a filing cabinet that I keep them all in, but as I stated before it's filling up. I keep catalogues and LEGO club magazines in separate three-ring binders, housed in sleeves to avoid having to punch holes in them. Just as you do, I find myself saving them more for the passing interest of thumbing through them as time goes on rather than looking forward to any sort of resale value.

That was my first impression as well. I really like the missing leg with the vegetation sprouting in its stead. Pretty cool MOC.

Hahah, hilarious MOC. I never thought I'd see that many of the 3069bp03 Dynamite Tile in one set.

Yeah, the Classic Space logo jacket has made a few unexpected appearances over the years. The first one I got was in the 7993 - Service Station and I almost did a double take when I saw the jacket up close. I'm happy to have more though, especially in a set which I might be likely to purchase several times over.

Is having the studs on top meant to be ironic?

I find it interesting revisiting this topic after posting so unassumingly that I was surprised to think the U.S. might have regulations regarding the posting of piece counts. Now, in hindsight, after hearing about this new lead testing requirement for sales of used toys and clothing, I find myself to be a bit naive about the relentlessness of U.S. legislation.

I was a bit skeptical of the new shark until I got one of my own. I really do like it, all things considered. I was mostly worried that they'd stop using the old shark entirely, but luckily that wasn't the case and I managed to get a couple this year. I like it a lot, just so long as it remains an addition rather than a replacement of the old one.

My government exhausts me.

So pessimistic! I'm hoping we won't have to have that contest. Right? Right...?
