I don't know. As cool as that would be, I have an odd feeling about that. What if MegaBloks were to start reselling clones of these old parts, would you buy them? Or would you avoid them simply on principle, in favor of buying from a company who is intending to complement LEGO sets, as some claim Brickarms does? The philosophical repercussions of the clone brand argument are LIMITLESS!

Not quite money, but I'm hiding a necklace from Tiffany & Co. in the bottom floor of my Green Grocer.

Yet I feel like you do believe it is 5973, Hinckley.

lol. Oh man. Should we make a Space Police III FAQ that is required reading before posting?

Wow. I've never seen that before. I've definitely added it to my favorites though. It is absolutely incredible! I'm really surprised that the builder only included one set though, other than that the whole thing is MOC? Incredible.

That actually fleshes the ship out a lot better than I thought it would. I think it looks pretty good, especially when viewed from the side. Makes the ship a lot more majestic looking and also opens up a lot of the details so that they may be more easily appreciated.

I once owned the BSB back before my dark ages had me sell them all off. But having purchased the BB and then seeing it in comparison to some of the ships from back in the day I think it is a pretty solid design, all in all. I stand by it, and I really enjoy a lot of the details. One thing I found interesting though as I read this forum is the fact that it seemed to be smaller than I remembered the old ships being. But now that I look at this, I realize that it's the nature of the child's memory to recall things being much larger than they were in actuality. Thanks for photographing these three great ships together!

This is a ship that was released during my dark ages. Thanks for showing the box, I really enjoy the box art there. I've never seen LEGO box art quite like that. And I second the motion to get a review of this ship. It looks like it'd be a pretty fun build, from what I can tell.

This is the work of Eurobricks member Mariann Asanuma. http://modelbuildingsecrets.wordpress.com/...astle/#comments I saw it a few months ago and thought it was a great way to put this baseplate to use!

Say what you will, but it beats the Futuron Escalator to Nowhere.

It's not Squidman, and it is set 5973 Hyperspeed Pursuit.

Was the width a problem for seating the minifig or the height? I could see both being an issue. All in all, so far so good. Like you said though, the roof doesn't look so great, but we can chalk that one up to LDD's limited selection.

I like this car quite a bit. I am surprised that it seats a minifig, though. I never would have thought that had you not said it. It looks like it would be too small to seat a minifig, but I suppose if it is six studs wide then it makes sense that it would. You should throw some pictures up of a figure in there.

Oh wow. I hadn't heard anything about this. I think no matter what it is, I'll buy it no doubt. I absolutely love my three modular buildings. They are a few of the sets I have that will stay in tact forever. Whenever people come over and I show them they LEGO room, those three buildings almost always catch people's eyes. Unfortunately I have to say "No" when they ask if they are of my own design. I've been compelled to create a building of my own to go along with them just so I can take some credit for their beautiful design and eye-catching architecture. But yeah, I digress, a third non-factory one would be sooooooo great.

Oooooh I really want one. But with US prices, I could hardly complain about missing out on a promotional rock monster... but... I want one.

Oh classic. Please, please keep these Office vigs up. They are hilarious! "Do you really expect me to not push you up against the wall, beeyotch?!"

Oh wow! This is so cool. I definitely remember that attraction from years ago when I went to EPCOT. Thanks for posting such a cool MOC. Are those just viking horns over the red satellite dishes with rubber bands?
-
I agree, this is very cool. I'd also like to know where those wing sections came from. Were they sails originally in another set?
-
This is a pretty cool MOC. It actually reminds me of some of the building techniques that were present in LEGO Space sets in the 90's. Good job.

Yeah. This quiz is definitely geared for the kiddos. I don't even like cookies or ride the bus to school
-
I agree. This is absolutely incredible. But I wonder if that kind of disregard stems from the fact that it's really hard to capture just how impressive large MOCs are with pictures? I mean, a smaller MOC can have a few intimately arranged photos of it and its meaning is conveyed, but the larger MOCs are just a lot more to appreciate and thus may go unappreciated? I'm not sure, but I've noticed this as well.

WOW! This is unbelievably cool! I don't think I've seen a MOC ship quite like this one. Your attention to detail is unbelievable, and the modular nature makes use of all the amazing space inside this huge ship. The architectural frills on the outside of the ship make for a very pleasing design. This is really, really great!

Okay, now that is one hilariously boring play set. What's next, a guy slumped over his desk with an open bottle of whiskey and a tax return that's been scribbled on in frustration? NEW! Playmobil Picket Line! Watch as the workers fight for their rights in a 100 day stand off!

I was looking at this earlier today but didn't get a chance to post a reply. This is both cool and informative. A great MOC!

Yeah, but I can promise you the Green Grocer is one of the best sets I've gotten. The number of pieces and details inside the building make it a great purchase. I got the Market Square set on sale at a LEGO store for 50% off due to a crushed box. It would've been worth full price, though. For a Factory set, it's a can't miss, I'd say.
