  1. I liked the theme as well. Farewell Mars Mission!
  2. Yeah, that would've definitely been a nice touch. I always like the canopies in various colors.
  3. We all need to adjust our expectations. Of course it will not "revive glory of Classic Space," because we're not children anymore. You've got to understand that as long as these sets are well-designed, contain great parts and minifigures we're doing well as AFOLs. These sets are intended for children, children that 25 years from now will be complaining about the current LEGO line not meeting the "Space Police III original glory" because of that those magical moments that come from experiencing this as a child. I honestly think a child in today's instant gratification culture would find Classic Space remarkably dull and unlikable. I for one am pleased LEGO even sees fit to throwback to things AFOLs will appreciate, such as Space Police and the ship from the Classic Space logo in the SP3 logo.
  4. People could save a tremendous amount of time wasted on speculation if they just took the guesses of the ambassadors as fact. Just saying. Think about it.
  5. Right. I go there at least once a week, so I'm going to start packing my digital camera with me just in case. With all the new things coming out, there's no telling what I'd have to share. Although, it's probably just a matter of time before real promotional pictures start leaking. If they've got ads up somewhere, other promotions can't be far behind.
  6. There's an off chance I can go back tomorrow and get some better, more detailed photographs for everyone. If I make it to LEGOLAND, trust I'll be taking my camera.
  7. Me too! It seems pretty great to me on all counts. The design even reminds me of some of the post-SP2 ships.
  8. I absolutely cannot wait. My fondest LEGO memories center around the years I played with my Galactic Mediator. The Space Police III line will drop right around the time I'm celebrating my one year anniversary of returning from my Dark Ages. It seems so appropriate.
  9. These are great and hilarious! I'll have to show these to my girlfriend, she's a huge Office fan. The minifigures look spot on!
  10. LegoKing - I was standing in front of the big wrap around check out counter in "The Big Store" near the park entrance to LEGOLAND, California. I was actually on my way out of the park, having already looked all through the entire store, when I turned and saw "POLICE" obscured by some Star Wars sets. I thought, "Huh, that's an odd City Police logo." Suffice it to say, the further I walked and the more of the sign I brought into view the more excited I got. It was one of those things you'd miss if you weren't looking for it, so I must have got lucky, and thus all of us at Eurobricks got lucky.
  11. Man. I am absolutely amazed by the things you create.
  12. Oh, this I did not know. Interesting though. I guess we'll wait then for even more pictures.
  13. Perhaps. I only wonder, given the fact that they've already taken the time to start advertising for it. My assumption would be that this series is almost entirely finalized. But then again, I know little of the design process.
  14. The only thing that was, in my mind, unfortunately absent from the banner is the actual Space Police minifigures. I was really hoping to get a good look at them.
  15. This is hilarious. I love it.
  16. Would anyone else like to see NEW bluecoats as much as I would? I hope that's in our not too distant future. But for me, I'd go with the old bluecoats first. The new reds are a close second, for sure.
  17. Yeah, if you can't tell in the photos, it's got some scrapes and skull logos on it in red as well as the big hotrod engine piece on the hood and some big spoiler fins all over it. I'm assuming that villain in the picture is the Squidman and that is his car making its escape. By the way, the poster says "Coming Summer 2009"
  18. Oh wow. This could be very cool.
  19. Yes. It really does. I've broken down every other set from the series and put it away, presumably for a long time. But not the ground vehicles. They'll be on my shelf until Space Police III, probably.
  20. Oh great. Now I've gotten drool all over my keyboard. I just flashed to my childhood and squealed with delight then flashed to my adulthood and squealed again. I generally don't squeal but, WOWEEEEE! Hahahah.

This is pretty good. I see what your saying about the blockiness, but the only thing that I think would need immediate work would be those 2x4s on the forearms. I love the pose with the weapon in hand. Nice MOC.
  22. Everywhere I've gone, be it LEGO Retail Stores, Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Sears, and even LEGOLAND itself is extremely understocked. I was at LEGOLAND today and they only had two small selections of Power Miners. Two sets available was all, and maybe 5-6 copies of each at most.
  23. Yep, I thought the same thing. It was everything I was hoping for (so far.) I'll definitely be getting every single on of this series.
  24. I've been waiting along with everyone else, so I was glad I could find them and share them in a legal fashion!
  25. At long last, I'm happy to share the first look at Space Police III! I was at LEGOLAND today and they had a banner up in the store so I thought I'd snap off a few pictures to share my excitement with everyone here. Sorry if they're low quality, they're the best my cell phone could do and it was all I had on me at the time. I hope you enjoy them. Basically, what you're looking at is the banner which features the logo, a wanted poster of one of the new baddies at the bottom, and to the right a chase scene in progress. I tried to get close ups of the ships for you. I might be heading back in a few days, and if I do, I'll take the real camera. Enjoy! - Wes
