  1. Saw this on TBB a day or two ago. I really like it. Fun :D
  2. Thank you! That came in handy.
  3. Thanks for the review and the pictures! I can't wait to get this set.
  4. Neat job.
  5. Great review. I love reading reviews about sets that I already own. It helps me appreciate the finer details, and this one was no exception. Keep up the good work!
  6. Wow, that's a pretty cool mechanism you constructed under the roof there. Impressive twist in design for what could have otherwise been a pretty generic MOC but invariably ended up a really pleasant surprise!
  7. The thought of a modern spin on models like the Mediator and Explorer gets me all tingly inside. However, it also worries me. Because while modern LEGO products have brought some pretty amazing design elements, it has also brought some less desirable additions (firing missiles, stickers, etc.) But I suppose that anything could be MOC'd out in what would be considered an overall good design. So my fingers aren't crossed for perfect, just an overall good design.
  8. Wow, thanks for the review. I wasn't expecting this set so soon. This is one of the City sets I've been highly anxious to obtain. This is both unfortunate and fortunate at the same time. While I can't wait for the '09 sets, I am still trying to finish up my '08 wishlist. Thanks for the detailed review, price aside, this seems like a well rounded set!
  9. I've yet to get the UDW. I need to grab it soon to complete my collection from this line. So far though I only see it at Legoland. And since I'm also seeing Pirate sets there, I may be hard pressed to shell out the cash for it when I've got so many other temptations.
  10. Man, and I couldn't pass it up at $50. For $25 I would've bought SEVERAL, if only for the figures! Man, shame I missed that.
  11. The only time I see them is at official LEGO brand stores, or Legoland itself. As far as major retailers go (Target, Wal-Mart, TRU) I never see them. It's a shame too, I would probably buy one every time I was at the store, too. Take The Good Wizard set from the Fantasy Era Castle line. It was never released in the US at all. I'd still really like to get my hands on one, too.
  12. Hey, that was a pretty neat set. I'd never seen that one before, so thanks for sharing your quest, as it was neat to look at. Glad you found what you were looking for as well, even though the price is a bit extreme.
  13. As these bits of information come from the retailer's catalog, we'll have to wait a while for that.
  14. I completely agree. The Agents sets look really good up on my shelf. I was really enjoying all of my Mars Mission sets until the other night when I looked up on the shelf and noticed how they all blend completely together. The colors don't allow them to stand out or really draw a lot of attention to themselves. But on the other hand, the shelf with the Space Police 2 line is pretty eye catching. I hope the color scheme for Space Patrol is exciting.
  15. Yeah, that was my first thought as well.
  16. Though I like the design of the set, I completely agree with this statement.
  17. This is another one of those sets that's good for army building. Because not only do you get the two figs, you get the cannon. I'll buy several of these, I'm sure. Thanks for posting the review!
  18. As I recall, the largest market for LEGO on earth is Germany, followed by the United States.
  19. Originally, I wasn't a fan at all of the Agents sets. But after assembling the first 3 missions, I've found I really love them. I'm hoping I'll have a similar turn around with Power Miners, but I'm not so optimistic. Hooray for more Gold Tooth hair!
  20. Yeah, you know, before this, I'd noticed they had been routinely absent from the shelves for months. I thought maybe they'd been discontinued and considered buying a couple whenever I could my hands on them in lieu of this. But, as it was, it has reappeared at my local Target stores. Haven't checked the TRU lately, though.
  21. Welcome to the community, thanks for letting us know about your find!
  22. I think that's in keeping with their recent "conflict in a box" mentality, which no doubt sells well with children. With all the money we AFOLs spend on their products, you'd think LEGO would know who actually keeps this ship afloat.
  23. Excellent! I was afraid this series might just be rumor, but the more information I get, the more promising this seems! Thanks for passing this along! Oh, and if I may say so: lol.
  24. One of my local Targets was overstocked on the King's Castle Siege, and they were selling it for 50% off about two weeks ago. They did this until they were back down to a reasonable stock. Something tells me that's a good indicator that it won't be for sale on Black Friday. But, I could be wrong. I'm just thinking that here in the San Diego area, they'd want as many in stock as possible with only a few weeks to spare.
  25. Does anyone know why the impulse sets seem to be easier to find in European markets? I'm curious what the mentality is behind this.
