  1. Wow, that is pretty neat.
  2. Is this the only new theme we know of for later in the year?
  3. I voted that I loved them simply out of sentimentality. The Islander sets were some of the last ones I bought before entering my dark ages and selling all of my sets.
  4. Wow, this is a really great example of mosaic work. I'm impressed! Great entry.
  5. I've got to agree about the Indy Motorcycle Chase set. Typically I don't buy licensed sets, but for this price, it was a good one to get. It's almost tempted me to start buying more of the Indy sets in the future.
  6. Hey wait, I got the Pirate Fort in 2008
  7. Wanted to let everyone know that the Powerminers sets are out at TRU, at least here in San Diego. I went ahead and picked up two of the smaller ones to check them out.
  8. When I went to LEGOLAND to get the Pirates early release sets they had Knights Kingdom impulse sets by the register.
  9. Me either. I check this topic nearly every day in anxious anticipation of these sets.
  10. Thanks for the quick review. Somehow I picture this set as costing around 9.99 USD. We'll see though.

    MOC: Lego Store

Holy cow. This is incredible! I would definitely buy this set, were it released by TLG. So cool!
  12. Oh, and so everyone knows, I did have it confirmed that the LEGOLAND California discount is 30%. I don't know about the retail stores, but I'd say to anyone able to take on a part time job there it'd certainly be worth it.
  13. Wow. Pretty impressive use of parts in MANY places on this model. I'm curious about how sturdy it is as well. I'd love to know.
  14. Oh man, this is great! The details make it both witty and impressive. You did a great job on this.
  15. This was surprisingly hard to decide on. I loved all of the Castle figures this year (and last) but I ended up voting for the dwarf figure with the orange beard. They were a great addition, but so were the huge trolls and the little orc warriors. It's been a great year to be a Castle fan.
  16. Welcome Mariann! Glad to have you here at Eurobricks! Your work is incredible, and I look forward to seeing what else you have to share in the coming days.
  17. Right. I figure if my really aggressive spending habits raised any eyebrows, I could simply flash a picture of my LEGO building room to prove myself.
  18. I've browsed around the forums and was unable to see if this topic was addressed but I was wondering if anyone was employed at the LEGO retail stores or LEGOLAND California and could shed some light on what kind of employee discount they receive. I've read that LEGOLAND California employees receive a 30% discount on products. I've mulled over paying the $11 a month to get a 10% discount on PAB and sets, but 30% would be well worth getting a part time job, if it was true. If anyone had an info on this, I'd really appreciate it. When I lived in Los Angeles I asked three employees at the Glendale LEGO Retail Store if they got a discount and each replied, "I guess, I'm not sure." What a waste Thanks in advance.
  19. I wonder how big the grain of salt will be that they take our advice with
  20. Try this: http://www.hccamsterdam.nl/brickfactory/index.htm They have quite a few scans of old catalogs as well as nearly every set instructions you could want.
  21. Hah! Cool use of the shovels. I didn't recognize them until I read someone else's comment.
  22. Definitely a mother with child.
  23. This is too cool. The cave design is awesome. The mushrooms are so creative, as well. I didn't even notice them at first until I read the reply post. So cool.
  24. I absolutely LOVE this MOC. So many admirable techniques in it. I especially like the rock stairs in the bottom cave. This thing is so well thought out and impressive on so many levels.
