    First off I think everyone here knows that we are talking about custom minifigures in the Cuusoo projects, not some random system part. I am not talking about a part that you didn't consider so you made your own, I am talking about custom made minifigure parts being used to draw the interest of supporters even though that custom part will never happen and the creator knows this. If a project is worthy it shouldn't call for the creator to dream up something that doesn't exist to make it more appealing. That is basically tricking the public into supporting. The bottom line is there should be no custom minifigure parts in any of the Cuusoo projects. This isn't fair to the Zelda project that failed because it was using them. You can say what you want about it calling for more molds than another project, but the fact is there are many projects using custom minfigs and regardless of what you think, there are some people giving their support based on them.

    It's scary to think of how many things will be eliminated from Sheepo's model to meet Lego's strict criteria. The problem is that everyone that voted for the model to get through supported it based on those PF motor features, so if they are removed, people are going to be upset. The Lego/Cuusoo team are going to have their hands full with this one.

    I've never done a show personally, but I read that Lego exhibitors got 30% off at the nearest Lego stores, but I recently read an article that said that Lego wasn't doing that anymore.

    It seems to me that they are allowing these projects with new molds to attract attention even thought they know they are going to fail. It's just not right.

    What size wheels are you planning on using? I am not sure if the new hubs would be a great idea for a motorized model. As mentioned here at eurobricks before, they have kind of a loose fitting.

    I highly doubt ANY Zelda project will ever get to 10,000 supports(in a timely fashion) without mini figures. That Sword/Pedestal is a nice idea, but the likelihood of it getting 10k is going to be tough. It is all about minifigures with Lego fans now. I have actually met people at Toys R Us that don't even buy Lego sets, they just collect the minifigures.

    So what is the verdict on this new mold issue? No molds will be made correct? So that means that any project that is using molds that are made up and don't exist to help their project gain support have no chance in the end? Some people are saying that it is ok and some people are saying that it is not allowed, so which is it? In my opinion any project that is using custom made minifigures or parts should not be permitted since they will not be created by Lego. @Aanchir You seem to be the guy here who has all of the Cuusoo related answers, so what is the deal with the molds/custom parts? Yes or No?

    Great review. Thanks so much! It's probably not the best idea that it is required to use the new styled smooth connector with those driving rings since they are not meant to be used together, but I guess you have to do what is necessary to make things work. So are all of these other modifications needed for the model to function or are they just improvements? I also have a question about the suspension and the shock absorbers, it appear that there may be stress on the shocks because of a lack of pivot points for forward and backwards motion. Like on the 9398 crawler the shocks are mounted to freely move around without stressing or slightly bending the shock. I will definitely be purchasing these instructions, more so just to see how everything works because there are so many great features that have me memorized. Also Congratulations on the 10,000 supports at Cuusoo Sheepo! You deserved it!

    I highly doubt that. I would like to see a model next year called the 40666 Vampire GT though. I already have it built in Red, but I would most definitely buy a few black ones. But that is just wishful thinking. He is struggling to even get supports on Cuusoo. The closest we'll get to a fan made model is the one that won the crawler challenge.

    There is a HUGE difference between that RC set and what you have shown and what you are claiming are RC sets that Lego has released in 2010 and 2012. The 8369 set is actually Radio Controlled, while the other 2 sets you mentioned are Infrared. Infrared needs to be pointed at the device like a TV remote to get it to work, while Radio Controlled does not, which makes driving fast maneuverable vehicles much easier. That RC car you are showing also only contains 88 parts to keep it very light. When you are operating a radio controlled model, there is no need to have to chase the vehicle around like you would with an IR(infrared) remote. I also have to agree with Paul about the transmissions in an IR or RC car. Unless Lego makes a transmission that is already built into a module that can up and down shift itself. Lego would have a nightmare on their hands if they released some type of vehicle that the consumer could start out in a higher gear than 1st.

    The 42000 looks to be a great set for parts. Too bad it costs a bit more than we had anticipated.

    Cool looking car! Paul, I like that Chassis set up and gearbox design. Very well thought out.

    There is a dealer on Bricklink from Denmark selling the set for $96 Wow, that $34 less than it is being sold for here in the States.

    Allanp I would really love to see a review before making the commitment to purchase the instructions. I think that $25 is a reasonable price for them if everything works as advertised with the final model. There are a few features in this model that have me a bit skeptical.

    This isn't Lego building anymore. It has transformed into general model building.

    Paul, do you have any target date for the release of these? I assume that you are collaborating with Eric?

    It isn't a matter of just "Fixing a problem" you really should construct a physical model to make sure that there are not other issues with it. Afterall, this is a rather complex large model and it may work in LDD, but not properly in reality.

    I am no MOC builder by any means, but if I were you, I would use the older style differential that the Unimog uses. You will get a better "Bite" than with the bevel gears.

    It is possible to learn new things though. It seems most everyone uses each other's ideas in some form anyways.

    I am not saying not using the center differential, I am saying that you can't drive that center differential with an XL motor using a bevel gear. It is going to have all kinds of problems.

    I agree that it is probably the best looking real car that he has done, but as far as functions and originality go, the Vamp GT is going to be tough for him to top. I remember when he did that Yellow Murcielago, the price of the #4 connectors jumped up to $10 each in some stores.

    Have you actually built this, or is it just in CAD? Because I can not see that bevel gear from the XL motor properly driving that center differential without some serious slippage from all of the weight of the vehicle combined with the torque.

    I think it looks better in Red anyways. It especially looks nicer in the front because it defines the black areas better.
