I propose we: Out the Orange or Brown, in the Dark Orange Re-introduce the Sand colours of Red, Blue and Green Have recoloured Piraka feet in insane colour blends Replace Gun-Metal with Mottled Gun-Metal (I have a piece in that colour, and it's awwsome) Along with the completely new armour/limb pieces, have battle-damaged remolds of the parts. @ Vertea - I like the idea of the boxed set except it can't be a swamp villian because green villian + little pet(s) + mechanism is pretty much the Karzahnni set.
-
Piraka can't mean Vezon, because if it were Vezon, the set would be called Vezon, unless there's a storyline reason for all the characters to start calling Vezon "Piraka". Also, a half-Olmak, half-Skakdi head face would be a hideous, asymmetrical and useless for MOCing part.

The set numbers are different, and the sets will probably be listed with their umbrella name as well, which should make them different enough. It's possible that these are fake, but unlikely. They're on Amazon, match the rumors we've previously heard, and many of the other new sets listed (especially Atlantis) are real. I doubt someone would go through the trouble of making up fake names for BIONICLE of all LEGO themes when they're providing accurate names for the other themes including the more desirable themes like Star Wars. I want a Battle Royale too, but I can't think how it will work in the main storyline without seriously twisting the plot or using an alternate universe, both of which I don't want. As such, a Battle Royale would be better suited for a fan-film.

And painful to the eyes, especially if there's a group shot of them.

Presumably the movie will end with the Skrall being defeated and the path for Mata Nui leaving the planet being very clear, if there isn't a scene with Mata Nui actually leaving. The synopsis of the movie talks about Mata Nui trying to leave, and even Kiina expresses here interest in leaving Bara Magna. It sets the scene perfectly for a return to the MU next year. As I said earlier, the story team probably realized that if they didn't finish of the MU story soon, it would be too late because kids wouldn't know about it anymore, and it would be way to confusing to reintroduce it without simplifying it to a level that the old fans would hate.

Plus, it was owned by Avak in the past, who stole it from Dark Hunters. And it travels at supersonic speeds!

Nah, because a shark doesn't have as many articulation points, so it can't really be brick built. It would need too many giant specialized and <insert that tiresome argument> parts to make it work. It's probably a baddie ship.

A picture on the internet would be more useful. Try uploading it to Brickshelf or Flickr so that we can all see it.

Gresh is one of MN's team members in their quest across the desert. Unfortunately though, they're listed on Amazon, which means they're reasonably likely to be true. However, it's definitely from a pre-lim list, and as with what happened with Vastus/Gresh, it's subject to change. The Atlantis image is there too, which means that the sets listed aren't completely bogus. I seriously hope the Alternate Universe thing isn't what will happen. Vezon hasn't featured in main storyline since 2006, nor has the Olmak been mentioned or shown. It would make no sense for him to pop into main storyline and shift the focus to a place that is Bara Magna, but has different characters and isn't really Bara Magna. Waay too confusing for kids who don't know all the BIONICLE storyline. The 10th Anniversary thing is logical, but it still needs a good storyline reason to justify such sets. My guess on the storyline is that Mata Nui wins on Bara Magna, then takes Gresh, some other Glatorian and a Skrall army to go reclaim the MU via infiltration on the inside. As cool as it is, I think we all know that a giant robot death match is not the way for BIONICLE to end, because it's not really appropriate for kids, and Mata Nui would need to completely bash up the MU to kill Teridax, making the point of saving the MU moot. Rahkshi is a spelling mistake, I'm sure Amazon's done that before. Piraka is probably the name of a rebel Skakdi clan, seeing as it's going to have to be Skakdi to not confuse the fans who knew the Piraka but didn't know the meaning of the name, yet it can't be the real Piraka 'cause they're dead/sea snakes. If it were only one Skakdi though and not a bunch of them, it would probably have a unique name. Another possibility with these names is that Tahu and Gresh are from the winter wave, and the rest are from the summer "finale" wave. The list on Amazon also included a 2010 advent calender, which I believe comes out at the end of the year, not the beginning.

The way the new BIONICLE sets are named seems to infer BIONICLE will not continue, but that's probably me being pessimistic. However, currently LEGO has always had similar action themes going at the same time, such as Agents 2.0, Power Miners and Space Police 3, so it's not really a surprise that there will be another action theme being Atlantis, which is probably replacing Agents 2.0. In the Atlantis set though I like the pieces in it, but the overall thing seems like a Exo-force/Power Minerized Aqua Raiders theme.

Currently I find those lists hard to believe, because the first two sets numbers are far away from the other four, and Takanuva is presumably a good guy, and a good guy, so it can't be arranged by good/bad or unique/generic. Also, the characters listed come from completely different places and all look completely different, so I can't think of a storyline reason for them to all be redesigned into fairly consistent Inika-style builds, yet alone all be relevant to the story being told. Finally, if Tahu is the only Nuva Canister, how are we going to get all the other 5 Toa Nuva while maintaining the same level of variety between the listed canister sets? Unfortunately though, I've got a good feeling that it's real, but it also forebodes an end to BIONICLE, or at least all current storyline that's been built up so far.

Could you provide a link of where you found the list specifically?

I've got the Destral Cycle on my shelf. It seriously wasn't worth buying another Jetrax for it, especially seeing that I despise the Motor-cycle in BIONICLE thing. It's built pretty well considering it uses just one set though. Compared to Kaxium though, the Destral Cycle isn't that bad. At least it's got a nonsensical 4 back wheels made entirely of plastic, but the Kaxium has rubber wheels as in TECHNIC sets. The elemental powers are there, I'm 99% sure of it. Gresh's Toa power quote on BIONICLE.com, that picture, the fact that Ackar's sword can be seen in a flame and non-flame form, and the video of MN's team blasting off baddies. Plus, elemental powers are cool, and it's one of the things that have been with BIONICLE since the beginning. Hopefully they'll be used for more than blasting irregardless of the actual element being used. On the bright side, the picture of Ackar shows that the elemental use should be more interesting than in previous movies, because Ackar it aiming his sword up, not ramming it into the ground.

I presume you've seen Vertea's Yellow/Purple creature drawing, either on here or on BZP? Pretty much that, only with a different demonic creature base, and other cool colours for the other villains.
-
IMO they're a bit small, especially the Mata feet. That's a pretty uninformative video compared to the previous ones. All they said was that it's gonna be cool and about teamwork. Neat about Mata Nui with the Vorox tail. That's how he is on my shelf currently.

Lucky you! I hope you enjoy it, and can give us an as detailed review without breaking an NDA that you'll probably have. If you don't have an NDA though, I would love some spoilers. I'd love to come, but it's a pity that I'm a bit too far away.

I think that picture of Vastus highlights one of the building problems of Vastus - The Inika armour on his chest is positioned the wrong way, meaning that the pistons on it spread out downwards instead of upwards, giving him a kind of pot-belly appearance. I'm still getting Vastus though, because the snake designs in the new molds are really cool, and the recoloured feet and mahri tube are must-haves.

New Zealand: "Where to find Lego"
Brickthing replied to Legoman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I just got the new Kmart mailer, and there's no mention of LEGO for this week's sale. -
The Inika feet are really the only appropriate canister sized feet for non-creature things anyway. The Rahski feet are too flat, and the Mantax feet are one stud to high. Some BIONICLE fans don't look much into other LEGO sets, even TECHNIC sets. Bfa is guilty on one part of that.

Good luck with that. But seriously, it would be great to have another creative contributing member on board, especially an artistic one.

The eyes and Cordak ammo where Nuparu's only red, but the Cordak ammo was on Nuparu in quite a few places. I was counting the Tridax pod, his eyes and the random red pins, but I suppose that's not a problem exclusive to black sets. It depends how technical you get.
-
Personally I like the red/black colour scheme of Skrall, and I think it's neat how Stronius is Dark Red/Black, making him seem for elite and experienced. I never noticed the black set's continued use of red though, and when you think about it, Reidak is the most recent black set that hasn't really had red highlights, unless you count his glowing eyes, in which case it would be Whenua Hordika/the black Visorak.

New Zealand: "Where to find Lego"
Brickthing replied to Legoman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
For the record H2F, the post office doesn't operate on Sundays for normal post. Hopefully there should be a toy sale on at Kmart next week, because there hasn't been one in a while, and it's usually week on, week off. I'll let you guys know tomorrow when I find out. -
I don't usually mind too much about the proportions, considering they're not humans, and it would limit both the posability and variety of sets if they did try to make them human-dimensioned. I just find it distracting when their arms are so long that their hand-held launchers drag on the ground.
