He's refering to the way the water bulged suddenly and unrealistically like some giant mass of jelly when Mata Nui got up.
-
I personally hope that doesn't happen, because if it does it would damage the sales of the DVD, and potentially reduce the quality of future films. You only have to wait two more weeks, and if that means better future movies.

Although there are a couple of errors, the main one has been corrected by Greg - AM does not have land. For the other points: - From the looks of inside the area inside Mata Nui, it looks more like that area is inside the main stomach area cylinder, which could quite possibly be where the Av-Matoran went straight after Metru Nui. Although it doesn't adhere with the trends and rotation of the rest of the universe, it could definitely be a new cannon location. - The vegetation thing seems to be an artistic choice, because the luscious island would look way better than a barren burnt one, or simply Mata Nui's face like it was originally intended to be. Unfortunately, the artistic choice pretty much killed the Bohrok. - And the movie still doesn't show that AM is in the UDD system. For all those who think it is, you're mis-assuming Greg's quote. I doubt the movie makers where that misinformed that they went through the trouble to design the AM that the Ignika is seen leaving from, and make the blue-and-clearly-different-moon if they were supposed to be the same place. Overall so far, this movie only seems to be messing with the canon artistically, whereas previous movies have messed up storyline canon, such as Rahaga-copters. I still find it sad that despite all the artistic liberations they've made in the movie, they still stick to the basic model of sets when making filler characters, despite the Bara Magna comics going all out with custom and un-makable Agori like the good old days of the MNOG.

If can get an extra one of those posters for me, you would be a god.
-
I would PM you it, but your PM system isn't activated yet. That's a shame about the release date, it's really weird that you get it late, and Poland, Aus and NZ of all places get it early.

Same question as everyone - Does the entry have to fit in with Star Wars canon and theme, or can it be based on any theme provided that it follows the principles of a battlepack with a Star Wars-esc vehicle. This contest could definitely bring out a nice Indianna Jones battlepack entry, or a Space Police Alien pack, however I'm thinking that the non-Star Wars might make it too much like the previous contest.

No, I found the first part of it online, probably courtesy of Lemonardo 114, so it's in Polish. I can post a link if anyone wants, because it contains no spoilers and really only makes me want to buy the movie more. In regards to getting it now though Lepaka, it's coming out on the 9th there, although I think there is one online shop that has it listed at releasing tomorrow. I'm going to wait till the 9th to get it from a shop though, as I'm busy this week, and I'll save on postage this way.

I watched the first part of the movie yesterdau, up until Mata Nui lands on Bara Magna, and some of it looks really good and epic, although storyline wise I can feel a lot of retconning occurring.

Although it's a strange place to here it, the fact that there will be a new Harry Potter video game makes it highly likely that there will be a new range of sets, or at least key-chains and such. What would be the benefit for Traveler's Tales and LEGO to make a LEGO video game without associated sets to buy from?
-
I was willing to accept that the natural Skopio has tread legs, but now it has an energy launcher with a targeting scope? I'm guessing that the storyline explanation for Mata Nui's cliff split is due to the Vorox tail being re-energized with Rock power.

Flora Magna sounds better than Bota Magna IMO, however Flora Magna would've had half of BZP complaining that a planet shouldn't be named after flowers.

Liking those new photos, except Kopaka's head is at a bit too extreme of an angle, and his laser eye could do with a bit more illumination like his other eye. And on Nuparu, the shield might make more sense if you could see a bit of the other half of the shield, and it would be cool if there was some of his awesome Batman-armour showing too.

The proportions look better, and she probably looks even better in 3D, but on the picture the Metru arms and Piraka Legs don't match at all. That's probably just from the photo though.

I should know - I'm from New Zealand. However, we're in agreement on the fact that LEGO probably won't try to call 2010 BIONICLE's 11th (and consequently 10th anniversary) year right?
-
If you haven't dis/re-connected the sockets since you made it, you should be safe for swapping the limbs around, and back if you want set official. Worst case scenario is that you have to call LEGO customer service. IMO though, Kiina doesn't need extra bulkiness, because it would make her less feminine.

Sets coming out on 30 December 2000 counts as much as for a 2001 release date as 2008 sets coming out in late November 2007. Besides, LEGO recognizes BIONICLE as launching in 2001.
-
No, it started in 2001, although it was halfway through the year for the US instead of the beginning of the year, which is one contributing reason to why there's only one 2001 canister wave.

Super cool illustrations where the subjects are concealed in shadows are all very well, but not helpful for designing a set itself. What Ecto has done in the 2010 Fan topic is much more useful concept art. Also, knowledge with CAD programs would also be required as well, because I doubt 2D drawing alone would be enough to fill the job of a set designer. We should ask Front - he's the resident design expert here, seeing as he's got a very similar job and chats daily with those whose job we're discussing.

New Zealand: "Where to find Lego"
Brickthing replied to Legoman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
If the Home Ones are up there, it's possible that they didn't know they had them because the employee you asked didn't see them on the shelves. If you go there and ask an employee if they can get one down for you, I doubt the employee would say no. If they've been given instructions to try and avoid selling them to customers, just keep asking different employees until you find one that will do it for you. -
Title of the image suggests that that's a photograph, possibly of the movie being played. But the Bara Magna watermark is in a strange font, the sand looks awfully like a model, and if that's supposed to be a GS, it's incredibly small.
-
Because next year is the 10th year of BIONICLE, so that could be interpreted as a reason to celebrate, if they want to do it early.
-
That's the one. I knew I saw somebody say they sent art on a blog. Did it get any prizes?
-
I'm sure people who have seen the movie will answer your questions if you ask them, but I doubt download links would be appropriate anywhere on BZP, because it's illegal. What country are you in though, because I get the impression that the Movie is going to be released around the same time in almost all countries, unlike books and such.

Those three photos are great yet again, however you should pose Iruini so that you can see more of his green parts. Right now he looks pretty gold only, and the Rhotuka shield conceals most of his form. Also, is that a big 2009 poster in the background there? If so, I'm very jealous.

No, Vader's voice would make him sound handicapped, which he isn't. Plus, we don't wanted him screaming Noooo now do we? Good spotting with Tarix's blade - I wasn't sure what weapon that was. Mata Nui is probably arming all the Glatorian for war once he's given the bad news and shown of the new weapons in Tessara.
