  1. Also Bfa, extend your picture basepaper or take them outside what I'm guessing is your room. I realized it was your review from the carpet! I just got back from the shops and I've now built Mata Nui. He's got sweet parts, and it's great to see that the Yellow-Orange parts have a solid colour, not like the softer colours that Yellow-Orange parts have had in the previous years. The ankle guards look great, and the flopping issue isn't really big, but they look silly when Mata Nui stands in a pose with his leg stretched forward. I hope the ankle guard piece gets used as a saddle in a future set, because it's got the shape for it and an appropriate + connection hole. The monkey arms are kinda annoying though, because his Thornax launcher drags on the ground and when Mata Nui touches the ground without bending his legs, his torso is still angled up. The Ignika looks great, but it's freakishly small compared to the previous version, and I'm afraid that if I get used to this scale, Toa Ignika will look like a bobble-head. I'll also need to get used to this version being curved around the back as a helmet, instead of it being a mask. Overall though, he's a great set, and I'm glad I got him.
  2. I just read your Skopio review on BZP Bfa. Do you mind posting it here too? I liked your review mostly, but the frame pieces are in fact new as well, appearing on the 2009 vehicles and the summer 2009 TECHNIC sets.
  3. It hasn't died, most of us are just busy. I'm working on an artwork of my Mata Nui MOC.
  4. Part-wise, Mata Nui comes with both of the less specific new Legends pieces - The new sockets and the ankle guards, as well as his sword in two colours, another Ignika, a blue head and plenty of recolored Yellow-Orange parts. Set-wise he's pretty nawesome as well, although some other Legends do look better than him. Storyline-wise he's Mata Nui, as well as the leader of this year's good guys. He's definitely the first on my list, and I'll most likely get him this weekend.
  5. Thanks for the input guys. I'm currently talking with Dragonator about a trade for it.
  6. No F&S? They had a lot of them last time, so I hope I didn't miss a clearance sale on them, or that they just scrapped them. Cendox should be $45, so I'm just hoping it's not $50.
  7. I've got heaps of them, if you're interested. If you can get a Fero & Skrimix New Edition I'd love to trade for a Visorak and some other stuff you want, including a (non-piece count and warnings covered) Mata Nui set because... The Legends and Cendox are appearing in New Zealand finally. The problem is that it's going to be really hard to find any sets larger than them, because they're so expensive that most stores in NZ have decided not to get them in, and the ones that they do will be very limited. According to S@H, Thornatus is slightly more expensive than Axalara was, and Skopio is around 150% off what Axalara was!
  8. There's currently 20% off a range of LEGO products at Farmers, including the Millennium Falcon. I'm not sure if it affects all LEGO though.
  9. I've currently got a large retail Castle flag that I'm looking to trade or sell. It's listed on Bricklink for $130, but that seems a bit high for it, so I was wondering what value you think would be more realistic, and if you would be interested in trading for/buying it. It's 1 meter x 2 meters, so it's much bigger in reality than in pictures. Unfortunately there are two long metal rods at top and bottom, but they can come out, which would dramatically reduce shipping costs (Unless you're also in New Zealand). Bricklink Picture:
  10. Not said yet. Thanks for that! EDIT: Do you remember how much they were? And did they still have Fero & Skirmix on shelves?
  11. Are all the pictures of separate MOCs, where no parts are used in two pictures? If so, I can make a pretty good guess at exactly what sets are there, because I've done a lot of this in the past when buying bulk lots. Bear in mind though that often bulk lots are missing parts from sets, and sometimes only a couple of pieces from the set is actually there.
  12. Have you tried any of the many LEGO minifig capes? One of them should work well. As for Click, I think Vertea's idea of a Visorak Minifig is a good one. Speaking of contests, do you know what's happening with the current Art Contest? Will the entry period be extended, or will the contest just be canceled?
  13. It makes sense that they don't release all the sets at the same time, otherwise some won't sell as well because there will be more choice. Also, spreading out the release dates means there will be less limited numbers of each set. In the Toyworld brochure there's nothing new for Star Wars, but there is the Underground Mining Station as a TW exclusive for $140.
  14. I know that, what I was asking was if that was just a maskless Fero in the picture, or if Fero had the same Red Skrall mask that BZP now has. It would just make getting that Red Skrall mask ten times cooler, knowing that it was used in photography for retail catalogues. @Tessara Explosion - I can't tell which Glatorian it is, but I'm going with Gresh, because the Behind the Scenes lines have Gresh saying that he's not that hurt despite others thinking he is, which would go hand in hand with being caught in an explosion. @Tarix or Kiina, Kiina is better, but Tarix is not a bad set at all, he just isn't as good as the other Glatorian. He's still way better than the Mahri for example.
  15. It's an awesome set too, 'cause it was the first to come with Orange-Yellow Bohrok legs and both double sockets as well. I don't really get the reason for the eye change, because although yellow is nice, it doesn't stand out as much as green does, and I don't get how it's worth reproducing yellow eyes when there are already plenty of green ones. So, anyone seen a non-US version of it? I really want BZP to be back up, because they're sure to have some kid who knows. EDIT: Just flipping through Brickshelf and I noticed in this picture something odd. Is the red head of Fero in the box art down in the bottom left a helmet-less Glatorian head, or a red Skrall helmet that is most likely the one that BZP has now?
  16. There will be more of Greg's stories in future guide books by AMEET, but unfortunately this is probably the last book that will be reasonably easy to obtain. Speaking of obtaining, how many people have been spotting the updated version of the Fero and Skirmix set? I'm especially interested if anybody has seen a non-US version of it.
  17. Let's wait for more proof like those pictures Tyranide talked about before we make any rash objections. It's possible that the story team realised that if they don't return to the MU kids will have forgotten the rich MU story and characters completely, and it'll never work well to return. It's also possible that BIONICLE is being cancelled next year and they have to wrap up story. If we're lucky, we could get some really cool new teams with mixtures of characters from different years, and get to see cool new parts of the MU, as well as other Toa elements (seeing as they're now free to use Plant-Life for green), and awesome new mask powers. That's certainly part of the MU that I always loved.
  18. Makes sense that Strakk doesn't get banished I suppose. Skrall and Bone Hunters on the loose is hardly the time to send Glatorian alone into the desert, unless they're on level with Skrall themselves. I hope there's a good reason that Strakk tries to kill Ackar, like Ackar mocking his fighting or Strakk not being paid enough for the battle. Maybe Metus pays Strakk to kill Ackar, to cause disruption among the Glatorian.
  19. It does kinda belong in that topic, but this topic makes it easier to find stuff about the movie and easier to find other stuff in the 2009 topic. Plus, we can talk about voice actors that probably don't relate directly to BIONICLE 2009.
  20. Seeing as Strakk gets banished, and Metus is most likely the traitor, does anyone else think that it's likely that Gelu might do something bad as well? I kinda get the feeling that Certavus as a hero as well as all the other canonised iconox characters were brought about to make the ice tribe seem less bad, which is what it may have originally looked like.
  21. I tried it a few months ago, but the pieces never arrived. Does LEGO think there's something suspicious about ordering replacement hands?
  22. Unfortunately MOCing counts as a violent act with the newer ball joints. I'm think that there was probably a reason that Mata Nui wasn't paying attention to his insides such as being distracted and heavily involved with the universe outside him, because the Glatorian Mata Nui's kind and caring personality certainly doesn't match the irresponsible baby-sitter of the MU that he seemed to be earlier.
  23. Atakus and Metus each have a broken hand. Why do all the cool parts have to have new breakable joints?
  24. How many chain launchers do you want to put on that scorpion thing?!?
  25. The picture shows Mata Nui vs. Tuma w/ Skrall shield on top of cracked plateau, with the Black Spike mountains in the background. @ Mata Nui needing help - I'm just surprised that he didn't mention something about being in a coma for 1,000 years, but I suppose he got over that while in the mask in space. I'm also surprised that he didn't complain about that either. I would've...
