My idea was that Mata Nui left Click behind ('cause he's cool and cute, so he needs a happy ending), in favour of a Thornax launcher and sword for while searching. Then once the team falls in, Mata Nui's Ignika countdown is accidentally activated by the MU-like GS, and the team notices that it has gone silver. Later, it turned gun-metal and begins it's life sucking job. However, because Mata Nui's spirit is still inside the Ignika, and Mata Nui is technically the Ignika's boss anyway, Mata Nui with difficulty is able to contain the mass-effect of the life-drain to just himself (and anyone he touches), but it takes it's toll on his body, pretty much killing it and making it look all evil death and zombie-like. The sideways way gives enough articulation as far as I can tell, and it looks better that armour on behind. Poor Bunda, he has no SYSTEM sets. @ Vertea - The chains would work the same way they do with cattle and stuff, they hit the legs, then the weights on either end wrap around and pull the person over. They could also be electrified or very hot though.

I was looking in the index, and I found Ecto's old concepts here. Some of those ideas could be useful to use again, with your permission Ecto.

Roodaka causing Sidorak's death by Keetongu in BIONICLE 3 was off-screen, but never-the-less cruel and violent. Teridax's multiple rock-face's where pretty violent too IMO. I think it's him too, but wouldn't you be suspicious if there was this golden dude you've never seen before in a giant crater that definitely wasn't there in the afternoon?

Battle cry is weird, but from the first 5 seconds I've seen (movie's still buffering), I'm super impressed with the animation! EDIT: Now that I've seen it, it's completely awesome! I don't agree with the sparking of the Vorox's tail, but otherwise it's fine. The Thornatus sounds like it's got music playing when it comes, but it's just the rickety engine. At the end of the clip Metus has an impossible hand rotation.

The refugee looks super awesome, except for the hand on the chest and the Nuva armour on the foot. I see what you're trying to do with them and have done well hive the other parts, but I don't like those two parts as much. You could scatter the "good" armour all around as well, because only one-off extreme circumstances would cause you too loose all your armour on only one side. Is that Scorponok the same that was in your Blawg? If so, I still like it, if not, I like it anyway. The chain things are an awesome idea, despite them not working. Out of interest to make them work though, have you tried connecting the ball joints to flick-fire missiles and then through the chain. It may or may not make an awesome chain-ball-projectile. I love the drone wolf thing, only the back feet should be 08 av-claws instead, and the tail should be less organic and spiky to match the rest of the MOC. Aside from that, I can imagine a whole pack of these lurking in the background, stalking an Agori or two. All in all, I'm loving those MOCs Bfa, well-done!

Cendox has swooshability because you can move it like it would if it were real, wheras Baranus has none. I haven't tried yet, but I'm pretty if you dragged Baranus along a table the impression you'd get would be like pulling a toy horse and chariot, where the legs don't move making it look fake and un-realistic. Worse still, at least with a toy horse you can make it gallop, but a Spikit would be silly galloping, and if you try to make it crawl like a lizard it's ball-joint legs would bend around and look silly. From that I'd say that the Baranus is more of a display set. Which is a pity, because as Bfahome said, the Spikit could be better, and the chariot is pretty lacklustre. @Iron Knight BZP parts - I doubt they'd give you all masks, because those are the most valuable pieces, so they've got to conserve them for the best prizes only.

Currently we're polishing off the main team of good guys, but unless you want to trawl through the 25 pages of this topic, it would be easier for you to make creatures, good and bad for the new universe. We'll never have enough of those. Once we've finished the team we should make a summary of what we have so far, to organise/formalise our thoughts and to allow newer people to contribute fully.
-
Currently the arms bend to a 90* angle, but I think when the armour is sideways it should bend all the way to about 45*, but I'm not 100% sure as I don't have the sideways joint.
-
Cool, I like it. We need as many as possible of these kind of MOCs to fill up the new universe that we're creating. Do you want to give your creature a name and mini-bio though (unique/generic, carnivore/herbivore, any special traits, etc)? EDIT: I've finished my Dark Mata Nui: The Mahri blades, Bohrok teeth, leg and arm chest armour, hands and ankle cuffs (that I don't have) will be recoloured gunmetal. The thigh joints will be black, and the head will be a Glatorian head in trans-red. The arm joints are the new sideways ones from Thornatus, but I don't have Thornatus, so I can't show that... The two new pieces are a cracked/spiky/deteriorating blade (which is the movie sword breaking down) in place of the Jaller sword, and a new Gunmetal Ignika that's the same shape as the 09 Ignika, only the left side is cracked and has some holes exposing the Glatorian head underneath. I'm also making a mini comic about him when the team encounters a parasite welding experiment, and Mata Nui discovers his own life-draining powers.
-
Well, we know it's under Tajun and Mata Nui will discover it in the movie. Most likely through recognising and being able to read Matoran symbols on the entrance.
-
Damnit, competition. I'll be using the Silver Ignika too, 'cause I don't have the new one yet. However, my idea for the 2010 one is kind of like the Mistika can version. Due to the imbalance of the GS, the Ignika goes into life-drain mode, but it doesn't work properly because it isn't in the actual MU. The result is that Mata Nui has a life-draining touch, which he may or may not have to use in order to stay alive himself.
-
I'm pretty sure it was discuss yes, post or link to no. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Hooray, the team is complete! In order to get the new parts done, could the set creators (such as Bfa with his eye-scope-thing) send descriptions/drawings of the new parts to one of the more arty members so that we can get a final picture of their forms? As a suggestion, in order to get the colour distribution of the six sets correct (we still need a black set), either Gelu should be revamped with grey/dark-grey armour to serve as the black set, or the Ignika could be false-alarm triggered by the GS, causing it and Mata Nui to turn Gunmetal, dark grey or black. I'm keen to design the latter, if people agree with the idea.
-
Seconded. Interesting drivers on par with canister/Agori-size sets (aside from weapons) would make vehicles so much more complete.
-
We need Glatorian and Agori as the main good guys, but there will be plenty of experiments as well. I think what would be good is that we do what was done for 2001 - make heaps of "rahi"/characters that aren't sets, but are featured in the storyline, that people could make if they wanted to. Especially like the Ranama and Kirikori Nui from LEGO Club, where you're expected to have a wide and abundant collection in order to make them. We could also make an Experiment building kit or two as well.
-
I love the two-sided heads, because they provide an excuse for LEGO to make heads for more interesting or comical expressions. Without them, we wouldn't have the crying face, or any of the horrified faces of Power Miners, because they aren't the most suited for the primary face of a figure. The only qualm I have with them is that they don't work with head-gear that doesn't cover the back of the head. This is fine for MOCs shown on the internet, because of clever photography, but it doesn't work for models where people look at them in reality. Then again, brasso can fix that problem.
-
That old guy looks very good. I also see what you mean about the markings, but that 1x1 tile belt could do with a marking of some kind, at least to make it look more belt like. I think it might be better to make a new female Glatorian in addition to the current ones, unless one of the makers opts for their character to be a female. Changing a character to female strongly influences their backstory, which I doubt all the Glatorian creators would appreciate..

Buy now - tell her later, or convince her how much they would complement Skopio.
-
Don't worry too much about parts you don't have, as long as you know what they should be. It's a new year, so there are going to be recoloured parts anyway that we can't show in set form now. Markings sound interesting. Maybe printed parts with a marking could be possible as well?
-
Does Metus fit? (Berix will do though ) And how well can Mata Nui hang of the side?
-
Ecto, I like your Glatorian, but the hand design might be tedious for an actual set, unless it's a new ball-with-no-axle-hole piece.
-
I got Tuma recently. He's got some pretty good parts compared to similar sized titans in the last 2 years, including lime mantax feet and five lime mahri blades. IMO the only problem with him is that he has a stickered helmet.
-
I think they are the same length stud-wise, but the Vahki legs are fatter so they look more stubby, especially in combination with the longer limb socket parts.
-
Same here - Although a lot of obvious clues point to Berix, the accidental ones like the Metus's Revenge Extended Ending (which is just Extended Ending on BIONICLE.com...) and the fact that Metus clearly has a motive to betray for money make Metus seem like the traitor for sure. āIām going to enjoy tearing that fancy mask from your face.ā Bad idea for Tuma, but it should make one heck of a cool scene.

Are the two white Nuva armour parts meant to be a diaper? It doesn't look like it from other views, but from the front I keep thinking it does. About the MOC in general though, I like the head and the R2-D2 fuel pack, but as others have said it needs white hands instead of silver.
