  1. Are any of those images that we haven't seen before? If so, can you make scans?
  2. It looks more like two thin connections where the two colours mix, as seen in Tarix's blades.
  3. Hopefully in future waves the canisters might decrease in numbers, which would probably improve the characterization of each one. Aside from the vehicles, the heroes are smaller and probably a lot less powerful than the villains, so I suspect the missions will feature 2 heroes against each villain in a fashion similar to Agents.
  4. Please keep the topic at least vaguely related to Hero Factory. There isn't really a spot for mask discussion right, so maybe a Kanohi Discussion topic could be in order...
  5. That was an interesting and great start to a new serial. The dream-plague sound interesting, although I assume that the disease causes loss of dreams, madness and death each as separate symptoms. Dream loss has never been a problem in BIONICLE before, and would've been mentioned if it could actually drive you insane/dead. The only thing I didn't like too much was the end of the serial where Sahmad wishes his enemies would dream of him and wake up in terror. Given his motivations, he'd probably prefer they suffered what his tribe suffered, which was no dreams.
  6. Good catch on the GBs walking away detail though. If these are meant to represent the GBs, it shows that they abandoned SM when they realized their failure to prevent the Shattering, probably out of shame, fear or so that they wouldn't be killed/trapped when it happened.
  7. It's great to see that you're photographing again! I always enjoy your pictures. 52 - The glowing eyes look great on Fenrakk, but the angle of his head is rather odd. It would be good if you could have both characters in focus in the picture, because they're both equally great parts of the set and should be emphasized likewise. 53 - The water effect looks great as usual, although slightly cobwebby... The imposing angle of the shot looks great with Hewkii's mask though. 54 - My favourite of the three, for Skirmix's head being posed like a raptor, and the glowing green blade in the background. Again though, it would be good if both characters could be in focus. I miss the Bionicle posters in the background, they did well in making the photos subtly more interesting and colourful. Would you be able to do some close-ups of some 2010 sets, namely the yellow Rahkshi?
  8. Throwbots are Slizers for North Americans. I never understood why. As a rule of thumb, the Bionicle forum has all things that have ball-joints and no System. Except Ben 10, that's Shadow's problem. The forum will probably be renamed to something more encompassing closer to Hero Factory's actual release, because currently Bionicle is still the focus. It's not dead yet!
  9. I don't think it's that literal, considering the artistic look of it and very few combatants. I think the figures are meant to represent the GBs lurking in the background, but that's not what they actually look like or literally would be doing. Plus, Bink enjoys teasing so it could've been a complete coincidence that the rocks resemble people.
  10. Before this gets too out of hand, it would probably be best to create a voting topic to decide exactly which direction you want to take the story. I won't be participating in this, just watching to make sure it stays civil.
  11. Looking at the Duncan's pieces on the cover, this Duncan is still an early version with rapidly-prototyped parts, so it's hard to tell which colour scheme is the most recent. Hopefully it's this one though, because a trans-red Glatorian head would make this set completely worth purchasing. I can't say I'm a fan of the new pieces for these smaller guys. The arm/leg pieces have an awkward bend and an exposed hole on the ball, while the weapon arm is limited to being a weapon arm, making it a lot more limited for MOCing. The helmet looks fantastic though... From an action figure perspective though, the Heroes have it nailed. Aesthetically they look great, and for their (assumed) price, they're big, posable and playable enough to be worth it for kids wanting action-figure superheroes. I certainly can't wait to see what Ghost makes of them in the commercials!
  12. Bionicle.com is go!
  13. Thanks for the pictures and information Zip and Wrack! It looks like the other 2 elements are Metal and Sonic. I wouldn't have guessed Sonic from the set though... Also from the descriptions, maybe these guys aren't human, because it says they're designed and constructed. Perhaps they're androids/cyborgs? From the pictures, it looks like there could be 2 different limbs afterall. The legs would definitely be fixed at their angle to fit the leg armour, and the arms are mostly at a different smaller angle. 2 pieces - the chestplate and the back. The hero sign is probably a clip on trans-piece like the Mata-head-eye-stalks.
  14. Eurobricks members Zip and ~Wrack'n'Ruin~ bring us high quality photos and official product descriptions for Hero Factory, the new theme set to kick off in August as Bionicle's successor! Click here to find the product descriptions for these sets and join in the discussion!
  15. Do you have more pictures/the source page? I'd love to frontpage these if there are enough.
  16. Right here. No deeplinking them though.
  17. The piece has fits leg armor, so it looks like it's at a 135*ish angle. That's close enough to both straight and right-angled to be portrayed as near either on the packaging.
  18. Oky Wan Kenobi brings us the first review of the Special Edition Toy Story set, 7591 Construct-a-Zurg! Check out the review here!
  19. They're not really impulses anymore - even if they're the same price as the Stars, that's still around the cost of the original canisters. They've done it quite a bit with the Agori-build sets such as the Stars. The bending seems more obvious in these pictures, but still doubt it. I'm pretty sure it's just shadow. Black launcher parts would be cool, but I don't think they'd make sense on Thunder.
  20. I agree with your plea for Toa Ignika. Not only is he a great character, but now that Mata Nui has left the Ignika, the mask's consciousness would've returned, and the last thing he probably remembers is dying in the Codrex. Now in a pile of sand inside some computer room, I'd certainly want to regain mobility to figure out what's going on. Plus, the Ignika needs to be nearby Tahu at some point for his devolution, and Toa Ignika escaping the Proto-GS out into Bara Magna makes the most sense so far. On the other hand, the Ignika may be needed again in the future, and the CoL would be a much safer place for it than having it wandering around the universe where one accidental blow to the head could destroy the MU.
  21. I'm guessing that kids will relate better to human characters than Toa. Which makes me realize that if they had Vakama Hordika dress-ups there will definitely be Hero dress-ups...
  22. From a quick Google translate, it looks like Furno carries the Fire-related pun across more languages than Blaze does. The Agents characters have multiple names for the puns to work in different languages, but hopefully this is an all-language change to keep the Heroes' names simple.
  23. They did it quite badly with the Mata, Nuva and Stars, so I wouldn't be surprised if they do it again. I can't really see how they'd be properly articulated from these pictures either.
  24. Small sets - I'm liking all the new dual-colour weapons, and the black hands on Jimmi. They seem to have a new Ben 10-like torso for their unique chest plates to fit on which look horribly proportioned. Judging from the helmet style, names and H's on the chests, the main characters are humans in HERO power suits that protect them, enhance their strength and such and grant them elemental abilities (Fire, Ice, Air, Electricity, Brute Strength? and Lava?). They will probably be fighting to protect their city from the baddie Canister sets. The new arms look too fragile to be bendable, and are probably fixed around 135 degrees. The leg armour looks interesting, although very specialized. Canister sets - Hopefully these will be Glatorian priced, because they don't have anymore pieces than them. I see plenty of great recolours, such as Red metru legs, Red Skrall armour, a Lime tentacle , hopefully Yellow Metru limbs and ankle guards (although they're probably Yellow-Orange), and maybe dual-coloured Zamor. These sets look like they've got the same torso as the small sets, and unfortunately they've got Ben 10 limbs (great for less part breakage, but bad for mixed styles of joints, lower part count and hollow limbs). Hopefully all the decals are stickers, so that I don't need to apply them. Storyline-wise it looks like the baddies can use Explosions, Acid, Radiations and Thunder (Lightning?) in order to destroy the city, I guess using the Zamors to shoot their element. Looking at their faces, Xplode and Thunder are probably dim brutes, Corroder is the sly one, and Meltdown is just plain creepy. Other sets - I still can't judge the first two, but the Motor cycle has an Orange Bohrok plate and the Dropship looks pretty nice. From what I can tell, the pilots are at the same quality as the small sets, and hopefully are their own distinct characters. Von Nebula looks like the ringleader of the baddies, and probably has a power related to black holes. I can't tell if Rotor is a goodie or a baddie, and the two vehicles look like goodies with vehicles from the Hero factory that will come as re-enforcements. Overall, the thing I'm most pleased about is that all the new faces use Glatorian heads, and a lot of them (Xplode, Corroder and all the Heroes) look similar enough to Glatorian helmets that they could be given a place on MOCs in Bionicle story as additional Bara Magna or Bota Magna characters.
  25. Black hands! Black hands! More review coming later... Also, would you mind providing translations for the text?
