  1. No, as long as you think people would be interested in the topic if you revived it.
  2. For new sets, I was at Kmart yesterday, which also had the new PM sets and possibly the Tri-fighter. The Magma Mech was only $36, which should be a steal once there is a 20% off sale for it!
  3. In CG Canister images and commercials, the Toa looked like their waists, neck, elbows and knees could all bend.
  4. Artakha's appearance = 2010 issue = On topic enough. Next time just report it though, instead of posting. I think it's the overall style and character vibes of the MOC that attract me to that Artakha too. The building techniques and colour scheme aren't as great, and Artakha absolutely needs a new Kanohi piece if he was to be given an appearance.
  5. Right, I knew that...I just forgot which image I was looking at.. I hope it isn't a Mata leg issue then.
  6. Just about every ToyFair image of Bionicle sets have some pointless building mistake. Do you know if this incident was building mistake, or somebody broke the piece and glued it together wrong?
  7. Point is if somebody can make an oopsie like that, then hopefully there are two separate lightning parts per weapon.
  8. Deeplinked for convenience. Is Mark Surge's electricity tool split in two in that picture? That would be great if the set can do that!
  9. I'm pretty sure that the Olmak or some other Deus ex Machina will be used to get them out of that situation because A) Greg probably isn't allowed to kill via space implosion in a kid's story, B) 8 fairly important/popular characters are out there as well as the MoC, and C) I strongly suspect that the entire thing was just a plot device to get Hafu and Kapura in space.
  10. Which makes it impossible to tell I guess, as when images were leaked and found doesn't indicate when they were made.
  11. Was there a prototype image of Keetongu in the same prelim style as the Tower of Toa set? Otherwise it would seem more like the Tower of Toa image was extremely early, then the Keetongu image was made later when the decision was made to have Keetongu as a separate set.
  12. The reason we were told was it would help ease the transition between the two themes. While I'd prefer the logo not to be there, it will strengthen the theme name of Hero Factory by transfering the existing faith in Bionicle's theme name.
  13. I also imagine that this prototype of the set was split into the final we know now, and the Keetongu set - so if we had the recolours in this set, we would've missed out on a lot of smaller yellow-orange Technic pieces, which IMO are ultimately more useful than yellow-orange Toa Metru parts.
  14. Thanks for finding that one out! Farmers frequently has 20% off sales, so it's good to know I'll be able to get at a great price.
  15. Thanks to Eurobricks members ~Wrack'n'Ruin~ and -Tilius- for finding images of previously unseen Hero Factory sets for later this year! Discuss them and see the rest here!

  17. Thanks! It would be nice, but the saga is probably meant to last out to be in sync the release of the final chapter, and there isn't much in-between that we don't already know. Considering we get two updates with brand new artwork per week, I'm fine with the trade-off from text to artwork compared to Takanuva's Blog.
  18. But the fact that barely any of us have seen them makes it hard to cite in a debate. I don't doubt what you say about them, but not everyone can take your word that they're awesome without seeing pictures for themselves. This is getting a bit off-topic again though, does anyone know of a large collection of prototype pictures so that we can transfer to a new topic about Bionicle prototypes? As for 2010, the new chapter on Bionicle.com features silhouettes of the Toa Mata which look suspiciously more like Gresh and Strakk...
  19. Will the prototypes still be on display around the middle of April, when the Eurobricks Event will be on? Out of interest, do you know how many final prototypes there usually are for each set? Several early prototypes (some Toa Mata and all 6 Bohrok) have come into the hands of fans, so I imagine that Lego World's display would be fragmented if those were the only prototypes for those sets were unavailable. It's the weirder prototypes that are always the most fascinating, especially the ones with elements glued together from pre-existing elements. I do hope you'll be able to take some photos of them!
  20. About the London Toyfair, photography was prohibited, so while LEGO fans there sneaked pictures of other sets, I doubt anyone saw it worth their effort to sneak Hero Factory sets. I'm on the lookout for them though.
  21. Well that blows all we knew of the MUGS' construction out of the water. Also, what do they plan to do with the head? They've barely started work on the waist!
  22. Yup, this discussion is fine, although the raising price part has been discussed to death many times before. Well there was Pridak, but not all of us like to talk about that feature.
  23. Baack on topic, Chapter 7 of the Mata Nui Saga is online at Bionicle.com. Nothing new in the storyline, just Dorn and artwork featuring the most dodgy background cast ever.
  24. PM a Global Moderator or an Admin with a good reason for getting a name change. I myself don't have that kind of clearance, otherwise everyone would have "Bionicle" in their name.
  25. They've been moved to this topic, to untwist the last few pages.
