LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (Video Game Discussion)
8BrickMario replied to The Joker1's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
That's really cool. I like the cutscene clips, and I noticed the following: A glimpse of the Invisible Jet and Green Lantern flying into one of the Lantern Worlds The Justice League and the Legion of Doom teaming up Voice actors nailing the spirit and voices for the game, and making me want it ever more. Seriously, TT. You've marketed it enough! Stop it! Or at least pace yourselves, you're showing trailers and reviews every few days now. I'm sure after I return from my 10-day trip (this Friday to Tuesday two weeks from today) I'll have at least three trailers and 20 new characters to catch up on! -
The lizards probably got scrapped, since they already have an important reptile tribe. And when you think "ice age animals", lizards come nowhere near that image.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 Rumours and Discussion
8BrickMario replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I was wondering if there are any potential soft plastic/rubber headgear pieces. Sometimes they're unexpected like the Judge wig, so I was thinking about it. The Spooky Girl might have one, but I hope not. Any others that could be something other than ABS? After Bofur's hat/hair, the Hun Warrior's helmet looks like it could be rubberized, even though the horns are separate, especially since it has multiple layers of texture and several colors.- 1,109 replies

My brain is showing it to me like an optical illusion, I blink and the white part is on top of it, then above/behind it. Now I see that you're right, but this picture is making it seem a different way. It was brought up as a new piece on Brickset, so I wanted to see if it was true.
-
It's a 1x2. The upper right corner is visible right next to the tooth plate, and you can see a little bit of the tooth behind it.
-
Look at Burnad's mouth, He has a new piece, an upwards 1x2 click-hinge plate! I also like how Globert's wings can be rotated or closed. Such a simple connection, but it works so well.

It was a polybag S@H exclusive (I'm just guessing), and recieved a robot-legs Clone Wars variation later on. -
DC Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussions

I just feel like there's so much more put into the game designs than the others, it just feels too good to be game-only. If they're doing so much about the show in the game, it seems like at least one wide-release set based on it would be released. I may be hoping, but I'd love a special-edition '66 Batman set with the Batmobile, Batman, Robin, and all of the villains in the game. It would be a character set, so everyone could get the characters they want, but kids could play with the car, and it wouldn't have to be multiple sets that would take over a wave. And it wouldn't be incredibly expensive, either. But I'm going on the effort put into the tribute and the exclusive set, not the game model, because by now TT knows how LEGO makes their sets, so odd-colored bricks were just there for authenticity. Flick-fires were on the fabricated (fan-created) Cloud Rider from LEGO Marvel, and illegal techniques makes it even less likely, since game models can stay together, but not if you built the various models in the games in real life. So I'm hoping. We don't have any solid evidence either way. But it would be just amazing to get Adam West and Burt Ward Batman and Robin, pastel Cesar Romero Joker, purple Batgirl (created by the show), Riddler, and the rest. -

By that logic, we're getting the Collector as well. While Rocket does seem a little more likely, some of the other exclusives are just as detailed. -
LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (Video Game Discussion)

Honestly, it's a bit far-fetched, but I wouldn't be too surprised (but I would be very pleased) to see a legitimate special-edition 60's Batman set. It might have some vignettes, but be focused on the minifigures. The news keeps rolling in, and I can't wait to see more pics, even though it makes it harder for me to wait till *indeterminate autumn date* to pick it up. -

AGH, stop! I can't wait any longer!!! Too much to look forward to! '66 characters look great! I wonder what Lex and Joker's robot mini-me toys will look like, since they get Techno Suits as well. Nice to see Scuba Batman and a new Robin counterpart. I hope the Arctic Batman variant will be in the game as an Arctic Suit for Batman that will be cold-resistant. Here's what looks like a Zorb Suit for Robin (also visually similar to the Acrobat Ball in Batman 2): -
Globert's dark blue! Terrific! The renders are sort of odd, but they look good. Love Burnard's flame/tongue attatchment. I can't wait to see the rest of the Mixels for next year's new wave.

Oh, good. Sinestro will be the physical version. It still disappoints me that they're doing DLC again, (since the Wii U I own can't get it), but hopefully it'll just be MoS and nothing too special. -

I can't see much. but I like what I see! Pink-hatted Penguin, pink-suited Joker, Redhead Riddler, car-ears Catwoman, and blue Batgirl! Spot-on! I wonder how many suits the villains and heroes will have in total once the reveals are finished. Lex and Joker are getting more than Batman, Robin, and Cyborg! -
I was thinking: The name Globert has nothing to do with night, per se, but their dark color schemes and glowing parts makes me think his tribe isn't a night tribe, but a darkness tribe. What about the Max models though? As much as I love Burnard, I can't think it's a good idea to include extra mixels for each tribe. It would complicate the Max system, and it's overall unnecessary to add one, like the Zombie Moonstone in Monster Fighters. It had no place in the story or the moonstone device, but the set was great.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 Rumours and Discussion
8BrickMario replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'm guessing that since the ratios were skewed by the Simpsons series, we'll have the same statistics as that. Battle Goddess, Wizard, and Genie Girl/Hun Warrior will probably be the lowest number per box. Lifeguard, Gamer, and Swashbuckler/Pizza Guy will probably be the most common.- 1,109 replies

He does have bat wings. Dark Blue is always welcome, and it would make sense, since Mixels usually offer up parts in uncommon colors. Glow in the Dark seems to solidify the night theme. I hope we get an owl-based one, too, with a rotating head!

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (Video Game Discussion)
8BrickMario replied to The Joker1's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I will be pleased if 2014 Damian, Batgirl, and Nightwing are characters in the game. I wonder how many of Batman's rogues will be represented, since this game is more "LEGO Justice Leauge: The Video Game". 2013 Scarecrow, Penguin (either version) and Mr. Freeze would be great to see. And maybe 2014 Riddler and Man-Bat. What I'm trying to say that I want all of the new physical minifigures of 2013-14 represented in the game, since Batman 2 didn't have the designs at the time for said characters, instead using the old Batman ones. -
Glorp Corp is also swamp-based. Basically combining a gross location with gross bodily functions. Nurp's name and design clearly reference astronauts, so his tribe will surely be space-inspired. Burnard is perplexing, since he looks like an Infernite, and Globert could be a Wiztastic, but I don't see why only one new tribe would be introduced for the next wave.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12 Rumours and Discussion

Perhaps he's a Let's Player, i.e., people who record their gameplay footage with commentary and put it online. I'm sure it's a long braid down the back, but I hope LEGO comes up with a strong Castle theme in the future and uses the piece.- 1,109 replies

Nurp-naut is probably from a new space tribe-hence the astronaut design. It looks like his head rotates and has eyes on both sides! Burnard's use of the Techic-ball eyes in the inverted domes is brilliant and looks like he just ate a hot pepper. Globert could be a Wiztastic, but his name sounds like a poison tribe. Are those purple dragon wings? Yes! The new eye tiles are great, too. So they're going in new directions this year. I like that they're branching out on concepts and becoming more varied. I hope we see some of the Mixels being female, too.
