  1. Oh, good! Don't know about the hairband, since the render clearly lacks one, but if they're the same piece, I'll be very happy. This debate seems to be the "Yeti head-one piece or two?" debate of this year's discussion. So much talking about the specifics of one minifigure's parts!
  2. What do you think of Hoogi and Wizwuz? I like Hoogi because he's an ironic being (loves hugs, can't do it) and he's cutely monstrous. Wizwuz looks good, and I want the Chima energy blade used for his magic breath. Would you recommend them?
  3. It would sell, but sadly, I'm guessing they aren't realizing the potential of the theme, and it's another one-off single-wave Disney theme. I hope not!
  4. I don't know. I would put my trust in Hulk, since he was correct last year. I can't believe that LEGO would ignore (and deliberately avoid including) Wonder Woman. She's a classic hero and it makes sense to put her and her Jet in a set, since it is a JL wave. And she's not the archenemy of the set's villain, but since Flash doesn't really need a vehicle, they gave the supporting hero the vehicle instead. She's not necessarily the focus, but the set is dominated by her vehicle.
  5. But that was introduced in the Clone Wars theme.
  6. I hope my eyes are wrong and both the Tracker and the Genie have the same hair, but I can't believe it, since it would be two of a new piece per series (which I don't remember them doing before), and they aren't identical from the front. That new hair would be perfect for the Genie, but I think they mixed up which hair was more appropriate for whom. Seriously, post-apocalyptic or not, does the Dino Tracker's hair make sense for her job? I'd be happier to see the bun in brown and the ponytail in Cool Yellow.
  7. The Bat-vehicles sound very interesting. A mech and a sub are original vehicles that weren't done in the 2006-'08 theme, and they sound interesting. I'm assuming that the new-cowl Batman will have a gray and a black outfit to complement the previous variations. I hope we get Scuba Robin, since it would be new. GGB being $45-ish makes me glad, since that means the Jet will be bigger and better than a $20 set model.
  8. That's great! Sometimes LEGO decides to be nice to us and gives us another way to get things.
  9. I know they're similar enough, but using Cyrus Borg's hairpiece for Cyborg seems lazy, since the designs in the sets should match the game, and the piece is fairly inaccurate for him. Perhaps it is a new piece, and Borg's is a placeholder!
  10. I hope we get Scuba Robin. The Batsub and Manta sub sound intriguing. Thank goodness that the anti-Wonder Woman Society still allowed her and her jet to be in a set. TWO Bigfigs! Great! DC deserves them. And Hawkman, too! Thanks for the info!
  11. If his cape was truly in the "Vitruvius-cape" style, I would think he's perfect. But I doubt it for a CMF.
  12. Honestly, I'd like an Alfred, but I'd want a remake of the comic style, i.e., the 2006 Alfred.
  13. Or because the set is two years old. But I would like new versions of those characters.
  14. The set is great. It has that Bond-esque exaggeration, and some great pieces on the "Toxicopter" in rare colors. The minifigs are great, and even the lab is a nice addition. It also adds a nice bit of cohesiveness to the theme, since it provides a location in Astor City and the leader of a villain in another set. I highly recommend it.
  15. So...a green Grodd. That's why they mixed them up in the video, at least. Looks cool. I can't wait to play as BB, since his powers seem really fun.
  16. Oh, great. Brickshelf is spotty, and taking my images with it. Sorry about that. When it's back up and stays up, I'll try to fix it. Thank you! EDIT; Photos automatically back up, while Brickshelf is still working
  17. I liked the concept behind the old Joker's Ice Cream Surprise set, so I decided to modify the much-beloved Ice Cream Machine set's civilian model to improve on the concept. (Apologies for the photos, I don't have anything that would make a proper studio at the moment.) I removed all of the pink pieces and replaced them (and a few white pieces) with lime and purple. The Octan logo stickers were removed, but the rest were kept. I put the tubes on the sides for no good reason, and the cone's attatchment is quite different, in fact, it's attatched the same way as the weapon on the Bulk Drill Machine! Now I wonder what that could mean... The side view to show the opposite colors of the wheel rims and the different hose used. The back view, with purple slopes, and the back of the chassis. The awkward geometry of the pink train piece was a challenge to replace with bricks, but I managed fairly well. Some green canisters provide a speed boost for the truck. Here's a random pic of the first stage of development, when I just started with switching out colors. The front of the truck. Who's the driver? Harley enjoys driving the truck, when she's not smashing things with a mallet. The interior of the truck. The hoses on the sides match the ice cream tanks's colors. The ice cream cone rotates forward, and the beams holding it move as well, giving it good poseability, and different imaginable functions. I moved the speakers back to allow to cone to come down completely when in its normal mascot appearance. The cone can become an acid gun! A drill! (And I removed the gear, so, wobbly as it may be, it does turn now). A rocket booster! (This was a fun idea that I came up with after completing it and fooling around with the poses). "Would you like some ice cream?" "Another smiling customer! HAHAHAHAHAHA!" What do you think? I'm actually quite proud of how it turned out, after having it start out as just a palette swap of the original, inspiration took it a little further, after a few revisions. (pardon the image attachment, that was a mistake)
  18. Someone on Brickipedia made a really good concept model of it:
  19. "LEGO" is the company name, and a descriptive for their product. LEGO models, LEGO bricks, etc. are often just "models" and "bricks", but they still use it accordingly. Watch a designer video and you'll see that they do indeed use LEGO as a modifier for their product.
  20. The pic does make him look like a Sinestro Corps member, but it is indeed Larfleeze, due to the design and emblem.
  21. That looks nice, but where did you see this? I can tell it's a character creation thing. I wonder if that hairpiece is different enough from the Robin/Obi-Wan "parted-hair" to merit its making. It is wavier, and would fit Cavill's Superman better, though. Although, I can tell it's not a bad graphic, and looks like a new hairpiece, so it's very likely.
  22. No. There was a Bilbo with his blue coat, and Gamestop's preorder bonus for the game was Bilbo in his morning robe.
  23. I can only identify a Star Sapphire and Atrocitus. I don't know for sure who the Green and Yellow Lantern characters are, and the woman with the staff...?
  24. The Dino Tracker's hairpiece has a long ponytail down the back, like Padme's hairpiece. I still think that the Genie's hair is the Sumo bun, since they look subtly different from the front. I hope I'm wrong, though. The Jester does indeed use Chima orange. And the Goddess's plume should be the same as the Roman Commander's.
