  1. A new best: Heath Ledger Joker. I think they handled the dark character rather well, keeping the creepiness of his appearance while making it colorful and LEGO-like.
  2. That's a great use of Architecture models. I would love LEGO forever if they actually made those chattering teeth.
  3. Wow. Don't those scenes look rather spoilerish, though? I'd think they would want to save them for the game experience. Nice to see Atrocitus and a Star Sapphire. I didn't recognize the lady with the cornrows. though.
  4. That one is way too detailed, but more or less what would be good to have.
  5. Here's a link to the array of sets up to this year. Not all of them are available anymore. Welcome to the forum! http://brickset.com/...cs-Super-Heroes
  6. If you want that set, it's probably on its way out soon. There are two versions of Batman's Tumbler, one in the old Batman theme, and the UCS Tumbler this year.
  7. Kingpin's bigfig in the LEGO Marvel game was pulled off in a way that would work for a physical Darkseid, since he was fairly upright.
  8. I like the MetalBeard one, since it has a cockpit and nice hatch on top, the Ice Cream Machine one for its "rapid-fire" magazine, and the RR one for its third arm and fold-out sides.
  9. I'll respect the company and refer to it the way they do. Once I became part of the LEGO (and I always use all caps these days) community, I've grown accustomed to using the brand name as such. Now "Legos" sounds a little childish to me, although it is reflexive to say it, and I would never criticize someone for saying it. But I agree with their rules. There is no such thing as "a LEGO". LEGO refers to the company and toys, but as an adjective for the products, not the product itself. A minifigure is not "a lego", it is a LEGO minifigure or just minifigure/minifig. Bricks are bricks, not LEGOs. Is anyone picky about people referring to "LEGO sets" (staying proper here) being referred to as "kits"? It sort of bothers me, since I view a kit as something where you make something out of cardboard or whatnot, even though "sets" doesn't make too much sense as the term for the boxed and bagged pieces.
  10. Looking at this design, it looks like they would make a bigfig. And the Goblin King and Cave Troll were fairly upright, so he might have a better posture than the Hulk. I'd infinitely prefer a bigfig or midfig, or even a minifigure, to a brick-built figure like Groot and the Sentinel. I really hope they don't go that route... And yes, I would sacrifice poseability for appearance.
  11. The first link is winter pictures.
  12. Neither of these look like a minifigure would do it justice. The cape might be a problem if it is a bigfig, but it doesn't need one. The helmet suggests a bigfig/midfig mould, since I can't see them making a minifigure piece for it. A TMNT-style midifg could work, but I wouldn't want one. The game version or the set images, which one will we see first?
  13. Darkseid didn't even look like Darkseid, and I feel like he would lack presence as a minifigure. He's pretty wide and tall, but the bigfig's front-leaning style doesn't fit him too well.
  14. Would anyone recommend Spinlyn's Cavern? The titular vilainess is great, and I was thinking I could use her as the mythological Arachne, since the Battle Goddess is coming out soon, and we already have the other cursed victim, Medusa. The only problem is that I haven't seen it anywhere. Fire vs. Ice has taken up shelf space, and little of the "Spiders, Bats, and Scorpions" wave remains. It's still on the S@H, I guess I have to go to Walmart. Is it worth it?
  15. Unlikely. DC has shifted away from the cinematic universe unless the license asks them to make sets, or they really want to. The "Justice League" branding and basis on LB3 makes it likely that the designs will be from the game. And they usually make a whole wave for movies. And what??? There's a freakin' Aquaman movie?
  16. No. The other preorders are all existing polybags and keychains.
  17. Brainiac doesn't need to be in it. But Lois Lane might have to be. I hope the set is in space, though.
  18. I know, it's incredibly easy, but it would have been a cute touch in the official set.
  19. Nope. That was a rejected character from Batman 2 (along with Nora Fries). Notice the Batcave's design. It's still in the files, but went unused. When I saw it, I was upset, but then I realized what game it was from.
  20. The Jet is too big for a $13 set. It could be a set in a summer release, or with the BvS sets. Darkseid's bulky, but not enough aggression for the bigfig body type. And a Leatherhead/Dogpound style would be awful. It's probably full bigfig or regular minifigure. I would hope that Croc is in Manta's set.
  21. They are released in October, and when the month is given, it means the first day.
  22. I just thought of something. Brainiac is getting publicity as the villain of the game, but what if turns out to be Darkseid? He's confirmed for the sets and the game, and is one of the most threatening DC characters ever. Either he could be orchestrating the plot, or emerge as a greater threat after Brainiac is defeated. I hardly think they'd demote him to an unlockable character with no storyline purpose. Vehicles: WW's jet: Joker Steam Roller: Whirly-Bat:
  23. Anticipating every future wave of sets!

  24. Those are what we're hoping for, since every nonexistent item on the posters at release have been confirmed for future release.
  25. Knowhere's a playset. The Blackbird is not, and is $10 more than Knowhere. The characters in both are excellent, however, and I would probably choose the Blackbird first.
