  1. He was saying he would rather see more pictures of the AoU wave than the Helicarrier reveal. And not to be rude, but you don't need to reiterate your excitement like that. Most of us here are just as anxious.
  2. Indeed. It is in the custom shell packaging that only book and DVD exclusive minifigures use. SDCC uses small compartments like the Build-a-Mini boxes, letting tha figure rattle around inside. And are SDCC figs made in China, anyway?
  3. Quick jumper suggestion: Put two studs onto it and then place the minifig. No damage, it can still work, and you can hold down the base to launch the figure off of it.
  4. Nope, you would need to stack 1x1 plates, due to the insert that fits between the legs. And after trying, that doesn't work either. Stud pieces work, though, it it's better that way since it launches the fig off of the stand.
  5. Just checked the database...so excited that we finally get a purple diamond, and in two of the sets! I'm not really liking Drillex's mustache...eugh. I like Jack Fury's new face, and Toxikita's torso print looks excellent. AntiMatter's parts look good, and a blank glow head is interesting.
  6. This stupid FF embargo is annoying. The irony is that everyone would prefer what Marvel is holding back, and everyone is annoyed with it. They license out to too many studios, and this is what happens.
  7. The plastic around the bottom leg holes and feet holes becomes warped, and cracked legs have been reported. Major design failure.
  8. Oh, by the way, for those getting the AoU sets, do not use the Super Jumpers! They damage a minifigure's legs when they are attached to it or removed. Until LEGO addresses the issue, this little PSA still stands. Unlike the minifigs who have been used on the Jumpers.
  9. Well, stop trying for your figures' sake. But you just press down on the tab behind the stand and let go, like those jumping plastic frog toys. No flicking is involved.
  10. I believe it's a new kind of projectile for the spring-missile brick, since the missiles have that ridge that would prevent an attachment toward the end. I don't know for sure. How does the new Toxikita's printing differ?
  11. It just seems so odd that they failed to check the minifigure's condition after using the jumpers. The intense difficulty in removing the figures should have been a red flag. What were they thinking by including those two protrusions on the back of the stand? ABS is fairly soft plastic against abrasive forces, but they molded in a section that scrapes the legs when the minifig is placed on it or taken off. I hope they learn something, because this is a serious design flaw.
  12. You don't necessarily need to use the jumpers in the mech or the Javelin. Just modify the space for normal standing or sitting room.
  13. Okay. He confuses me, since I don't know when he's a bad guy and when he's an anti-hero.
  14. Having a named character in peril for every set is actually a bit contrived, and a random yet unique civilian makes it more believable. It's not always Commissioner Gordon or Lois Lane in danger.
  15. Yeah, no way would a character with less than 3 inches of body covering be a minifig. The TTG version is necessary for the character to appear in any LEGO media. I wonder if she'll have that odd pink hair in the set, though. Unless the Titans set is a Double-Decker Couch-like supplement set, where's the conflict? Who are the heroes against?
  16. Wow, lemme go check Space Bats and Aquaman... Yeah, he's right. STOP using them! They do indeed warp the plastic around the lower legs and feet. I think they went overboard with the grip. The soccer platforms and Speedor stands didn't do this, and they both used inserts between the legs. LEGO should certainly be notified that their play gimmick is damaging their product.
  17. I wonder if it's the Avengers 'Carrier with rotors or the AoU version with repulsors.
  18. I saw the Aurora set today, but her hair also appears in brown in the new Friends hair salon. I'd like to see it on a regular fig myself. I saw a lone Frozen set at TRU today hiding behind several Cinderella castles. Must have been the only one to survive the stampede!
  19. I found my GL at Target. But retail stores right now have worrying inconsistency in which of the new sets they are selling.
  20. I went to TRU, fully hoping to pick up Darkseid. It was there, and Manta was the only other set from this wave they had. But I thought, "I'll get it cheaper at Target", but their shelves were a horrendous mess and they didn't have it. Only Grodd. The lack of consistency is annoying.
  21. Don't brag! We in the US have got another month to wait!
  22. It's not going to be as much as the Death Star, but a giant set won't be worth two to five minifigs and no playability (Looking at you, Tumbler and SSD). Since the Helicarrier is huge by nature, rather than a larger scaled LEGO model, it should have some playset value, like the Sandcrawler or Death Star. I know children are never the UCS target audience, but I think there's something so wrong about a set you can't play with. That's not the spirit of LEGO. Although I have to see the reveal to determine whether I want it or not. Getting it is a completely different issue.
  23. I love the range of capes, too, but the Wizard's (like Vitruvius's) frays easily. I do like the Hun and Evil Wizard capes, especially since we get two properly decorated textiles in this series. I'll be hunting for the Disco Diva, Lady Cyclops, and Snake Charmer/Egyptian Warrior tomorrow.
  24. LEGO gives TT Games their existing and upcoming designs to put in the game, so the games often contain characters and/or vehicles that appear identically in sets shortly afterward, such as the Batboat and Aquaman in Batman 2, or M.O.D.O.K. in the Marvel game. So Beast Boy, Killer Croc, and New 52 Harley Quinn (all of whom are expected in the next wave) would likely be exactly as they appeared in Batman 3, but only if those characters were preview LEGO designs. Croc seems to be due to his realistic jaw hinge. The other two could be just as likely to be designs created by TT while making the game, though Beast Boy is more likely to be identical to the game.
  25. Does anyone know when the League vs. League movie comes out? I just noticed it's advertised on the back of the new sets' instructions. I want that Batzarro soon!
