DC Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussions
8BrickMario replied to Ezekiel2517's topic in LEGO Licensed
Speaking of wing mods, has anyone else tried changing the Invisible Jet's wings and wing tips to be more realistic (pointing backwards completely)? I kinda like it, and it looks better without the spring-missile assemblies. I do like the official "W" shape, though, so I changed it back. -
Ernie Prang looks like Zane's "father", Dr. Julien, who was dead but resurrected by Garmadon.

Why do people like this mod so much? It doesn't look like a real jet, and it isn't aerodynamic. I don't get why it's better. -

It works! Now, why didn't LEGO instruct people to bend back the jumpers? If that was the intended way to use them, they could have saved a lot of minifigures. -

The Batman in that set is identical, but it uses the Scuba Batman head from last year. I would say go for it. Scuba Robin and Manta are great to have, and both subs look really good. -

The Gorilla Grodd and Darkseid bigfigs are the same from the shoulders down. I wonder if Hulk's muscular lower body will be reused for another bigfig. -
That's a loaded question. Anyone can enjoy these sets, really, although the primary demographic is girls. The unique and useful parts will probably give the theme a broader range of consumers.

The Goblin hat is suggestive of a GG down the line (as LEGO reuses molds a lot, and it matches quite closely). However, the pumpkin on Taobao is actually a minifigure mask for a "monster-themed" read:Scooby-Doo CMF series. I'd expect a printed minifig head if he gets made. -

I did some more extensive modding (as mentioned above). I gave him a yellow chair for his seat, and used the robot arms that held in the jumper to support a back panel (for now, I used a car hood/roof piece, but I'll work on it. The mod doesn't give Bats over-the-mech vision, but he can see the targeting console better, and if Grodd were to throw something, Bats is less vulnerable. I didn't even try the (modified) jumper, since there is no good purpose or gimmick in the set. -
The UK getting the sets two months before us? Okay. I really hope that's not going to happen. The update of the US site does seem to indicate an earlier release, though.

I got Grodd today, and I like it. I wish the Invisible Jet could have used fewer gray parts. The Batmech is nice, though, needless to say, I modded the back to give Batman a chair to sit in, and the robot arms now swing up a back panel to enclose Bats in the cockpit. The banana truck is really sort of cute, and the figs are all great, however, Cold's hood had a spot of blue paint on the front where the machine must have slipped. I manages to get it off, but it worried me to see the error. -
I love UA, but I think the Ninjago treatment would be the worst thing for it, since it would wind up going on for far too long, and end up not being fresh anymore. It could get a fourth wave, but I'd be more than happy with three satisfying waves.

If he's holding onto the control sticks, he shouldn't tip over. My only problem with it is that one of his feet sticks out over the back, which bugs me. Also, in the instructions, Darkseid's model is on top of and phasing through the 1x2 cheese slopes. It's a bizarre placement and rendering error. -

Indeed. Manhunter's cape is soft, but the collar is the old material. -

Just finished DI, and I just love it! The amount of play features on the Javelin is impressive, and it's just so satisfying to bladt open the back doors and catapult Supes away on the jumper (with trans studs added). Darkseid and his thingy are okay, but the bigfig arms are too large or muscle-bound for him. Now I just have to get the Grodd set! -

The face does not match the new design in the slightest. I bought the Darkseid set and 5 CMFs for the Flower Cart promo, and I'm about to start building the set! -
Just watched a rather amateur review of the set, and from the brief demonstration, the drill rotation looks excellent. These weeks of January are going to be a challenge to wait through.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13 Rumours and Discussion

Oh boy, I predicted that the afro/turban would result in mistakes. For the Snake Charmer: feel for the squishy rubber cobra or the 3L bar. For the Diva: feel for smaller pieces (skates and microphone). Unless you're really good at distinguishing the texture of their headgear, do not rely on it as an indicator of who you have. Confirm with the other parts. I got a whole bunch of figs today, and I really like the Lady Cyclops. I love that her curves printing gives her a big belly, not a skinny waist! -

This isn't really about the sets anymore... and we still have no LEGO-related info for the movie. -

There have been refernces to the other universes in both games, which is making people think there will be a crossover title. I heard TT's contract with LEGO expires in 2016. I hope it's not true or that they renew it. -
I saw the first pictures and thought the set and villain were meh. But seeing the high quality pics on the S@H site, I really want it now. I just have to see the drills in action to convince me whether or not it's one of the first I buy.

We don't know if Ultrasonic is a villain name or an adjective, or which one it refers to (though lightning dude is more likely). Though three sets seems to indicate that there are at least three new villains, or more than one returning villain. I can't imagine that the new HQ includes only one villain to fight. It doesn't look like there'd be enough room in the set budget (assuming it's the same price as the truck) to create a substantial villain vehicle, either, though two evil figs could be possible. It's mostly speculation at this point, though, going off of three images from the video and set names.

While technically correct that it is the most common hand color, "literally" literally means true or, *sigh* literally translated, "to the letter", usually for something implausible or abstract. "There were literally over 5000 stud pieces in my spare parts bucket". -
All minifigure and minidoll hairpieces of all kinds are compatible with both kinds of figures. So, yes, they are.

I just can't wait for these sets! I'm surprised by how much Drillex and his tank have grown on me; Diamond Job went from my least favorite to a priority set! EDIT: Just rewatched Intel D, was it mentioned that the purple-eyed robot shark seen on Taobao is confirmed for the Hideout? I noticed it swim by. We knew it would be AntiMatter's guardian, but the video just confirmed the set it's in. I'm intrigued by the grey-faced, orange-helmeted villain. There's really nothing indicative of his theme, unlike the lightning guy (who I have privately taken to calling Lightgeist due to his ghoulish face and electric theme).
