That problem is easily solved. Both Avengers are in the same set! -

For a whole team, you need every set except the smallest and largest. But I'll get the Quinjet and Hulkbuster first, because they're great sets and they have great figures. I also like the Tower. If the Hydra Fortress is more affordable, then I'll try to get that, too. -

Looking closer at Goblin, the scales, and his leg printing, I don't think boots would look very good. The way his costume goes onto his legs would leave almost no gap between his costume and boots, and leave less space for scales. If they decided to print the legs like the legs of the female Lifeguard (an inverted triangle to continue the costume), there still would be limited space for scales and boots, and not enough legs visible before the boots started. Look at the new Spider-Man boots to see what I mean. There just wouldn't be enough space for the costume printing, scales, and boots without making the legs expensive to produce and looking very cluttered, boots molded or printed. The costume takes up most of the top half of the legs, and boots would take up most of the bottom half, leaving almost no space in the middle for scales and visible green legs. It's possible we'll see some changes, because the Police Officer in the same set is a yellow fig, not a fleshie that would be appropriate for a licensed set. -
I suppose that's true (I forgot about MF and Metalbeard), but I think their concept is intended to be a junkyard scrap metal tribe. Their location would make more sense that way-they could live in a Mixel Junkyard area. I was expecting steampunk from reports, but the second I saw the Toy Fair pics, I thought "junkyard" instead. Maybe they just don't have enough gears for my idea of steampunk! They just have a sort of awkward appearance that makes them look like machines designed without the concept of aesthetics in mind (which I love, by the way!) They lack that mechanical elegance that most steampunk creations have, although Kamzo is the only asymmetrical one. Gox is probably my favorite one of them. I love that the gear turns his eye, and the arms look great. The lower body looks great too and I'd love to see the figure animated in a scuttling run.

DC Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussions

The only problem with that is that some other advent calendars were shown. -
I like Lixers, and I guessed that "lick" would be part of the tribe's name. Slinkers? What does that have to do with a junkyard/scrap metal tribe? (They're not really steampunk, they're meant to look like hodgepodge mechanical beings from a junkyard. How many little kids would know what steampunk is, anyway?)

What makes me curious about that set number is that we haven't seen it yet. It seems like it would be a store exclusive or something else (but if it wasn't at Toy Fair, what could it be?) -

What I like about Gobby is that a Batarang could be a suitable accessory for him, as he occasionally used projectile blades shaped like bats. I'm starting to become a bit disappointed about the boots, though, since literally every incarnation has them. -

They know that the figure will be very desirable to serious collectors, who will care about the legs. And even though some kids won't care, it doesn't mean they shouldn't give us the best they could. -

I would hope so, but Toy Fair has been less and less "preliminary" in recent years. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 14 Rumors and Discussion

I misspelled it. I meant to say "cecaelia" which refers to a mythical humanoid creature that has the lower body of a squid or octopus. It's a fairly obscure term though. It's where the aforementioned Celia from Monsters Inc. gets her name. -

Forget army builders, who would leave such good minifigures behind? Honestly, the Goblin is one of the best-designed figs I own! -

That would be nice! A thinner pair of upright legs with the tentacles as feet at the bottom-think similar to the shape of the Ninjago Moro ghost legs but sleeker and with tentacle molding. (like Celia from Monsters Inc, perhaps.) Of course, a fat Ursula-style sea witch would be better suited with the Atlantis legs. For now, I think that's just wishful thinking, though. So now the ones I want would be: Bride of Frankenstein Female mummy (reusing Egyptian Queen headdress) Igor caecilian (half-squid/octopus) Sea Witch Pumpkin Headed Scarecrow (this is the most likely, the mask had the number 14 on it in the Taobao pics) Spooky Boy (hoping that's the character that Skeleton Boy's head goes to). -

LEGO's including exclusive figures like bright Batman and the Juniors Robin and Goblin to entice collectors to buy the sets. They're probably characters they couldn't rationalize under the regular SH themes (since the USM sets have taken over Spider-Man). That's also why the CMF Tiger Girl has a hairpiece that's a perfect match for Julie Newmar's Catwoman. I think they plan to make the figure, and release it exclusively in the next DC Juniors set, since it wouldn't fit anywhere else. I think what we're getting is just fine, since I like the slide piece (you can connect multiple slides to create a spiral slide), the pumpkin tiles, and Goblin is a must-have no matter how they did the legs! Honestly, though, I hope this doesn't mean LEGO is dropping the ball with the SH minifigures people buy the sets for anyway. The only new villain minifigure in DC's Jokerland set isn't even accurate to the material they based her on! -

Wow, I didn't pay attention to that. My only problem if he had purple legs is that he would look like he was wearing pants when seen from behind. Sort of like Wonder Woman's legs from behind vs. their appearance from the front. -

I wonder if green-on-purple would look good. But yeah, I suppose that was an option, too. -

I feel like they did everything they could to make a great figure. He doesn't have boots because dual-molded legs cannot yet be printed, and it might be too much printing for the legs, forcing them to send it to China and possibly result in a weak-jointed lower half. I'll take the scales and no boots, please. I think people are put off by his face because his red tongue is showing. The angry face will most certainly feature clenched teeth, though. For once, I'm not disappointed that he has no side leg printing, because he's supposed to be wearing a costume that leaves his arms and legs completely bare. It will also allow LEGO to print the bag on GG's satchel on his other leg (if that's what the strap is for). -
Looks like we got several of the names wrong by a few letters. It's a good thing Jinky has its name with an "i", because "Junky" could be easily misinterpreted. Those pics are good. It really shows what they look like I now can tell that Spugg is a dog (tongue and "pug" basis) and that Tungster is a lot messier looking than first pics implied. I really dislike those wings and those spiked arms are incredibly weak. Snack Pack would be a great name for the purple foodies, especially since they're a successor to the Fang Gang. I love the whole junkyard tribe (they look suitably tossed together and mechanical), and Turg is just so expressive looking. He looks just so bored and lazy! Of the new Frosticons, I might only get Snoof. For Series 6, Vaka-Waka and Berp are on my list, and perhaps Slusho and Forx.

Well at least the lack of boots is consistent. The Duplo version (which uses the brighter lime and magenta) doesn't have them either. Honestly, I don't mind too much, but the new dual-molded legs would have been a nice bonus. I think if they did that though, they wouldn't have been able to do the scales printing, so it's a tradeoff (and I would rather he have scales than boots). I don't really like the way the new two-plastic legs look, though, and it might have been too costly to add boot printing (resulting in a China-made set of legs). Otherwise, I quite like how he looks, but I do hope an angry face is included. A satchel part would look awkward, though, since he already has a strap on his torso. Perhaps the bag's printed on the side of his leg? -
The videos taken show that he has the rubber spike piece on his back that looks like a shark fin.

How so? Goblin's design has always been bright and colorful (and a bit silly looking). I'm positive he'll also have an angry face, and if it took a Juniors set to introduce a classic Goblin, then I doubt he'll be seen in a future set. -

To be honest, what I'm the most excited for from Marvel this year is that Green Goblin minifigure! It's a great design in a relatively cheap set. GG has always been my favorite Spider-Man villain, so to finally get a classic version is just perfect. The set itself is meh, and I'll have to make my own Goblin Glider for him, but there's no way I'll pass it up. As for AoU, I'l probably get the Hulkbuster, Quinjet (I need that amazing Black Widow, her hair is just terrific and her face isn't ugly anymore) and the Avengers Tower. I want to get Carnage and Sandman, but the latter's set doesn't impress me. The Ant-Man set is just hilarious. The giant 1x2 tile and 1x1 brick sell it for me. -

Starfire isn't cartoony in minifig form, though, and they obviously chose the most family-friendly design available. It's up to the LEGO designer for most of the characters which designs they choose, and some characters get multiple designs. I do think the JL wave was rather inconsistent in which designs were used, though. Looking at the new Green Goblin (and that his hat was used in Series 13), I'm positive that we're going to get a Catwoman with that Tiger Girl's hair in the next DC Juniors set. The hair is just perfect for Newmar's portrayal, and a '66 Catwoman wouldn't fit anywhere else. Of course, if DC decides to pull a "new Harley" on us, that piece was apparently only intended for use on the Tiger Girl. -

Well, Brainiac Attack comes after Jokerland in terms of set numbers, so who knows?
