  1. Correct. The lower body was also used for Darkseid and Gorilla Grodd. I do prefer the older Hulk body, since the pants and toes were molded. The new one's hair is the only improvement as far as the mold goes.
  2. Well, there's only one dark blue color, so it may be a color inconsistency. I don't think it should be darker.
  3. I think "prototype" is the wrong word. Most of these look fairly final, so it's likely that only a few colors or accessories will be changed or added. I wouldn't expect any major differences, since these designs are too clean to be prototypes. For LEGO, the term usually refers to the earliest stages of development, where new molds haven't been completed and characters are still quite far from what the final product would look like. Here? These came from the factory in China, which means the parts are already in production.
  4. I'm not sure about that. Architecturally, there are no similarities besides the color gray, and the fortress itself is incredibly small and pointless for what we got. You would have trouble making it match the Gothic style of Arkham, and the size would not allow you to do much with the interior.
  5. The names clear it up- Ultron Mk.1 in the tower is the first rough version, who then escapes Avengers Tower. Ultron Prime in the Hulkbuster is the next version, and Ultimate Ultron in the Quinjet Chase is the last version, toward the end of the movie.
  6. Don't ask me. But since there are three explicit costumed characters already, I would expect a couple more to balance it out.
  7. But a female vampire has been made rather recently, albeit in the MF theme. I would like to see some new monsters, but I think two or three of the five will be costumes instead.
  8. The Monster, Mad Scientist, Witch, Zombie(s), Werewolf, and Lady Vampire have all been done before at least once. But I feel like these characters are unique enough to make them less "rehashes" and more "reimaginings"
  9. Elsa Schneider/Elsa of Arendelle.
  10. I didn't remember it was the flag piece.
  11. Those were all great! I love the "Black Widow quitting the Elsa Schneider-hair club"!
  12. I can't get over how perfect the new Black Widow is. She doesn't look like an old woman anymore, and that hair... LEGO always does so much better when they don't use early concept art on licensed sets! I would have been furious with LEGO if Natasha was exclusive to the Helicarrier.
  13. Oh, I forgot: I saw all of the new wave at TRU yesterday. I was very tempted to get some, but I resisted. My birthday is coming up, though, so UA and Age of Ulton will definitely be on my list.
  14. How is it based on the original movies? Sandman looked like that in the comics, too.
  15. It's possible, but honestly, I'd prefer something from the comics. So far, I'm not that interested in what the movie has in store.
  16. My only concern as to its possibility is the source material. Granted, they've managed to make the Simpsons kid-friendly, but what angle would they take on a team of supervillains bound (by explosives) to the government to do their dirty work? It could be another Arkham-type situation, though, with Batman and Waller trying to stop Harley, Deadshot, Boomerang and Shark from escaping. As for rooms, I would expect a few cells, a medical bay (The Squad gets several injuries), Waller's surveillance office (with red Batphone to tie it to Arkham and the Batcave) and some sort of dining/recreational area, perhaps. As for the facade, I don't know what they'd do. Belle Reve isn't up there on iconic DCU locations, so to make it interesting looking could be a challenge. Please, LEGO, make this happen! (It'll be that excuse you were apparently searching for-in the wrong places-to make a Harley Quinn with pigtails!)
  17. But would it be possible for LEGO to create such a large DC set without the Bat in it? I'd love to see them try, though. Darn it! Now my hopes are up for an awesome set we may never see. Fingers crossed.
  18. Look at purple-pants Hulk and Green Goblin! I think they were just trying to cash in on the ASM market by releasing the mech Rhino, even though nobody actually prefers that version...
  19. It's not likely, but a King Shark bigfig would be nice, too. But a Belle Reve set would be really cool. I just wonder how LEGO could rationalize selling it to kids without making it a Helicarrier-sized set (and thus making it pretty much exclusive to the adult market).
  20. Nor are the comics themselves or the movie. I'm sure LEGO will manage to slip in Deadshot, Boomerang, and Suicide Squad Harley somewhere, though.
  21. A series of all new monsters would begin to fall into obscurity and be less popular to kids. The most recognizable and iconic monsters (witch, Monster, mad scientist, zombie, werewolf. vampire) have all been included with new designs that kids would want to collect. And again, these monsters serve as a way for kids who have missed out on the previous CMF monsters and/or Monster Fighters to get some in this series. If we had a new series including Phantom (opera), Sea Witch, Skeleton Man, etc, some of them could veer out of Halloween territory and some would be less known to children and would be overlooked for more well-known monsters. By remaking some recognizable monsters, LEGO adds diversity to the monster archetypes they've done before, and gives a way for newer collectors to get some spooky figs. I don't hate this series, but I do wish there were fewer (read:none) costumed characters.
  22. Bending back the Super Jumper while inserting or removing the fig instead of aggressively jamming it in. The minifigure will be put on or removed more smoothly without damage.
  23. Seeing it today, I thought the best parts of the HYDRA Fortress were Quicksilver and the fact that it was only $50 instead of $60. I do like QS, but I may pass on the set. I gotta get the Hulkbuster, Quinjet, and Avengers Tower!
  24. It's a shame the purple cape extends to the Horseman's torso printing-otherwise, I would have switched it out for Laval's. So which monster is your favorite? I'd have to say Dracula or the Swamp Monster. I do really like the Mummy and Horseman, though, and the Zombie and Black Knight are nice. The Lighthouse Keeper's a bit of a disappointment, though. He would look so much better with a hat or a cape. I'm a sucker for monster minifigures, though, so I do have to say I like all of them.
  25. Having read some New 52 Suicide Squad comics today, I was wondering what an (accurate) minifigure of that version of Harley would look like. Her eye makeup could be either dark gray or lavender (depending on the artist, it could be either color), and she would need the pigtails in red and dark blue. If she didn't come with them already, I'd probably add the Actor's ruff and a red short cape to complete the look. Of course, that's just my wishful thinking for a more accurate New 52 Harley fig. Because, honestly, the only reason I can think of as to why the Jokerland one doesn't have the hair is that another version of Harley with the hair (either Arkham, the red/blue costume, or the movie version) is in the works. If I had them in black, I'd give the Jokerland version some rollerskates. I wonder if a Deadshot minifigure would happen soon. He or Captain Boomerang seem like likely candidates. If they went for the Deadshot version in vanilla LB3, he wouldn't need a helmet, but I'd prefer the DLC version that does have it.
