  1. The third film was planned for a summer 2013 release, so we'll probably see a mix by then if not before that already.
  2. I'm not sure what you guys are talking about. I can see the ninja headpieces on the Haradrim, but I can't see anything of the aforementioned printed Rohan helmets...
  3. How did you see this? Whenever I try to zoom in, it shows nothing but a pile of pixelated stuff... I'm pretty sure this is old news, and it's not an official figure either. Looks better than it does with the colors of the official one still, though "tier 1" of the clothing should be grey (the part inside), followed by brown and then dark brown on the outside. I believe that's the way he should be, accurately speaking.
  4. Makes me wonder if we'll see any new outfits for characters in-game at all (Merry and Pippin should both be in armor on that cover), let alone outfits for real figures at all. I hope they'll pay attention to that, though. As for the people discussing the orcs above - I don't think they'll just toss them breastplate armory 'n all and be done with it. Many orcs had different helmets and armor designs. I hope they can at least have a few variations, new helmets and good armor pieces or torso prints, for example, along with leg prints. It's also nice to see a Rohirrim helmet like that, hope they'll use plain or differently printed versions for different soldiers. One thing that bothers me as well is that ALL of those soldiers, including Éowyn, lack the green cape they always wore in the movies...
  5. That's something that would count for most things, then, and it doesn't necessarily have to be blocky - MOCs can often have a good level of sleekness. There are some really good looking and well-made LEGO dragons out there, especially one of the most recent ones; "Tremendous Smaug", with barely any blockiness shown.
  6. Thanks for sharing the pic! Would love to see some of that stuff appear in sets, especially the Witch-king of Angmar, or the Mûmak as seen in the background. The Fell Beast would probably come with the Witch-king, but I don't care for that one as much since I've been constructing my own version for quite a while already... but I can see others wanting that as well.
  7. Probably Ahsoka, Savage Opress or Ventress. Can't see them killing off Darth Maul now already, but one of those three is my guess. Otherwise, add Maul to it too, but the candidates should be easy to uncover.
  8. Is there any reasoning behind the fact that Ahsoka was shown fighting Ventress in a rather "outnumbered" state right after they mentioned the death of heroes, lowering down two bodies in Jedi Order body bags? Or could they both be Jedi Councillors - Stass Allie and Eeth Koth - in this case?
  9. No comments for those? Oh well, here again with another batch of orcs... Orcs - Batch 14 As you can see, this time there are three painted faces (two fully painted heads, one just received some add-ons like an "orcish" nose and orange eyes, with some dirt on the bare chest - along with a painted shield to resemble the Eye of Mordor emblem). As usual, more pics if you click on the above picture to go to Flickr (underneath the batch #14 pic), and other orc batches are linked to in the description. ___________________________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________________________ C&C is welcome as always. Thanks, and hope you enjoy. More orcs should be coming in the next few weeks, along with Rohirrim.
  10. Also, just wondering, did you destroy most builds as the story progressed, or were many of them kept intact and do you just have that many useful pieces? Looking forward to your future projects as well.
  11. Mr. Freeze? Heh... Let's wait for an actual confirmation of these before yelling around it's fake, although the rumored inclusion of Mr. Freeze pretty much gives that away. Stuff like that won't happen in the minifig series. Chinese girl with a snake? What's that for? Would make me think of something along the lines of India, not China.
  12. First of all, let me tell you that you've done a great job on this series. I've been following it for a while and it's the best LEGO series that I know, and the builds are all constructed magnificently. As for the final chapter, I have only recently begun reading it, but I can't help but notice that the bit where Vlad says “Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen! It appears you are not expecting us; we are the evening’s entertainment!" and asks where the Emperor is seems to resemble The Joker's scene from The Dark Knight where he comes in and says a similar thing, followed by asking where Harvey Dent is. So I must ask, is this what you thought of while writing that bit? Because I liked seeing that there. Well, anyways, I must continue reading now. My thoughts on the conclusion will probably pop up here later. Great job on the story so far! ("So far" because I haven't finished yet) EDIT: Well, it is finishd and I must say, the conclusion was great. Well done... well done! I would certainly like to see another story like this sometime soon.
  13. You're joking, right? Those sets are a year old.
  14. Like I said on Flickr, this is absolutely outstanding. Seeing this was one of those rare occasions were my mind was blown rather greatly after seeing a MOC. You and Jack did a fantastic job on this, it's large, yet bursting of details, all beautifully executed. There are no words in Elvish, Entish, or the tongues of men to describe this masterpiece while doing justice to it. Definitely one of my favorite LEGO creations, and a great inspiration for me to get back to making more stuff myself soon again!
  15. The Tower of Orthanc of Isengard, yes. As has been said before, this isn't new and would be better off being discussed in the corresponding topic for it. Still looking forward to it, nonetheless.
  16. 1. Medieval Knight 2. Bigfoot 3. Scarecrow 4. Circus Acrobat 5. Royal King 6. Lacrosse Player 7. French Cook 8. Reggae Artist 9. Goblin 10. Space Police Officer 11. Bluecoat Soldier 12. Sheriff 13. Gamer 14. Dentist 15. Firefighter 16. Bee Keeper
  17. Good day! Wanted to share with you all the first batch of orcs in this topic. My Flickr photostream has a total of 13 batches of orcs, 4 or 5 of them coming with each picture. Many of them have been improved and upgraded over time, and there's a total of 45 orcs right now. These are among the first customized ones (#3 is purist): Orcs - Batch 13 ___________________________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________________________ For a better look at these, click the first picture. To see the other 12 batches besides this one, check the description beneath the picture on Flickr. Followed by that there are solo pics of all four. C&C is welcome as always - if you could rate the orcs from left to right along with suggestions on how to improve them, I would appreciate that as well. Thanks in advance, and enjoy!
  18. Thanks - I wanted to have lots of variety within the Rohirrim army, since many soldiers wore differently shaped helmets, etc. Currently, I only possess one of the official soldiers, but I'm planning to get some more of those helmets of theirs later on. I've been thinking of painting them all, but I feel like I should keep the one I have now untouched.
  19. The picture looks great! Has it already been confirmed that the game is actually rated PEGI 12?
  20. Looks fantastic! Great work. I wonder how my own Helm's Deep project will fare in the future. It wasn't grey, that's just the lighting on the shot - and grey would blend in too much with the building itself. Dark tan is the most appropriate color as shown on this model:
  21. Must be an error... in the other video they all had beards and wore chainmail armor. Looks like this is a bit of what the Last Alliance soldiers will look like.
  22. Nobody ever said it was going to be like that. In fact, Hulk_Smash already said it was going to be an actual asteroid.* (...For those who tend to take things too seriously: no, not a real asteroid from space. ) *If I recall correctly.
  23. Thanks for the info so far. I'm mostly interested in the SWTOR one - on one side I'm glad we get 2 Republic troopers and 2 Sith troopers, but on the other hand, one of the Sith troopers could've been replaced by one of those Sith warriors from the Battle of Alderaan. Not sure what battle it's supposed to recreate though, if anything in specific. Have you by any chance seen things from other themes? LOTR The Hobbit perhaps?
  24. Maybe you have a point but, last time I checked, dirt wasn't red, although I'm not sure about it being blood anymore either.. Perhaps they're not going for the higher rating after all and Boromir just ends up disappearing after being hit with a fish, or something like that.
  25. I watched through the entire video (also the previous ones that were linked to) - does this mean they won't show Haldir's death? And still wondering if it has been confirmed that it was indeed blood that was coming from the Uruk, or if there's been a mention of it elsewhere.
