When can we start expecting an actual list of sets with descriptions of its components? Somebody already posted what he saw in a retailer's catalog in the SW 2013 topic, so perhaps it will soon be Middle-Earth's turn.

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
General Magma replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
A more appropriate question would be: will Yoda ever fight Commando Droids? -
So how's the violence-policy thing's stance as far as video games go? The new LEGO Lord of the Rings game seems to be rated PEGI 12 - does that change anything as for the policies? Since one of the new videos of game footage shows an Uruk-hai being shot near the neck and dropping dead with a spatter of blood. Just wondered about this since a visible usage of blood like that seems to be new for LEGO.
-
Ah, you're right - it is Gamling, got the two mixed up. Now I wonder if they'll do any Rohan Royal guard figures with a third printed Rohan helmet...
-
Grimbold - Háma got killed by a Warg before reaching Helm's Deep. Anyways, these Gondorian soldiers look great, but I don't think they should have gold on their helmets, and breastplate armor might be better for them. I wonder if the actual figures will be any different.
-
Yeah, that's good indeed. Boromir won't trip over a banana placed by Lurtz and die off-screen then, I'd suppose! Will there be a full version of this or perhaps anything else about the game, or was that it? If I recall correctly, LEGO Batman 2 had 3 trailers, so perhaps we might see another one in a month...
-
That looks fantastic! I love this game now already... Also, was that blood? Might be one of the things to explain the PEGI 12 rating, although orcs have black blood. (Not sure how many younger players would understand, however) Is the game set for release on October 26th or October 1st now?

General Magma's LOTR Figures
General Magma replied to General Magma's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Thanks all! Planning to start on a few more Rohan soldiers sometime soon, as well as a few orcs. -
PEGI 12? Isn't that the highest rated LEGO game in history, then? The trailer looks epic too. This is going to be great! Also, Gandalf the White has a new hairpiece. I still wonder why Moria orcs are roaming in Mordor and why the Rohan soldiers have Hobbit hair, but okay, should be early game footage as said above.

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors
General Magma replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Not that exactly, but I heard rumors about a "large, brown, tracked vehicle carrying lots of droids". Now, how could that not be a Sandcrawler? I wonder if it'll be bigger than the last one, though. -
Don't forget all those production videos he made for the fans, though! I do wonder if they will ever show us the 12-min. reel, however...
-
Which hairpiece do you mean? And, also, I don't know what that is besides a round plate but I don't think it's supposed to resemble the actual figure when it comes to details like that. I do hope that they would keep the actual elven aesthetics on at least the actual figures as well, though, but we'll see what comes of this. There's a chance we may see more of her in the next LOTR trailer in 3 days.

Most recently updated on: February 1st, 2017 (My newer customs can be found on page 3) Custom figures posted here so far: - Aragorn (Strider) - Gandalf the Grey - Frodo Baggins - Samwise Gamgee - Meriadoc "Merry" Brandybuck - Legolas - Gimli - Gothmog, orc lieutenant - Guritz, orc lieutenant - Grishnákh, orc captain - Orc Whipmaster - Orc Inspector - Mouth of Sauron - King of the Dead - Dead Men of Dunharrow (batch #1) - Sméagol - Rohirrim, soldiers of Rohan (batch #1, #2, #3 and #4) - Orcs of Mordor (batch #1, #2 and #3) - Orcs of Moria (batch #1) and Moria Orc Swordsman Since this topic was started in 2012, this first post (and the custom figures in it) became rather outdated, so I decided to add this new section to the post to give you a much better impression of what to expect from my newer LOTR customs. The following image is of Gothmog, a figure I completed on the 9th of January, 2017, as well as my Strider version of Aragorn, completed on the 1st of February 2017: Other than that, I also make plenty of army-related figures, including these Rohirrim from early 2016: ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ "The Post That Started It" - from August 11th, 2012: Hello everybody! 10 months ago (at the moment of writing), I officially got into the LOTR theme and began creating an army of orcs. There have been 11 batches of orc figures in my Flickr photostream since then, with most of them having been updated and improved over time. Currently, the army consists of more than 40 orcs. Since non-purist customizing on those has started recently, I will post pictures of those along with some of the purist orcs over time. But, for today, I will show you a quarter of my current army of Rohirrim soldiers. As you can see, one of them is a hooded Rohan soldier - the rest of them are equipped with proper helmets. The one to the far left was the first custom soldier I made back in May. The rest of 'em are more recent. Soldiers of Rohan #1 For those who do not know or remember the hooded Rohan soldier, this is what it's based on: ___________________________________________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________________________________________ See more views of these (including stand-alone pics of each) under the picture in my Flickr photostream. You can also start browsing from there to see the orc batches I have posted on Flickr so far. Enjoy these for now, C&C is welcome.

The release date is October 26th.

This is a LEGO game, however. I don't think there will be another pre-order exclusive figure. But nonetheless, I would wait until a site has the game up for pre-order and clearly states details about the fgure.
-
Oh I sure as bones hope it is not. My goal is to collect all Middle-Earth minifigs (and sets), and I think many others would prefer the ability to at least get those figures as well. But, it only says exclusive poster, not exclusive Aragorn figure, so I have the feeling it's just the one we had in the sets so far.
-
No, that would never happen. ...And I'm glad so, else I would have to buy every available game console and multiple copies of the game to get every fig..
-
Because you can't change the hands of a figure... Multiple figures from the LOTR theme lack gloves while they should have them (Boromir, Gimli, Théoden, etc.) - however, that's nothing a quick switch can't solve. Now, as for the weapon... most of it is supposed to be gold, while just the blade is silver. If this really bothers you, go ahead and paint it. I actually doubt they created this mold for just a one-time use, which means that the hopes for a potential Last Alliance set is not necessarily crushed. If they do make one, it only means that there's one less figure has to be made for that battle, improving the chance of having all key characters from that battle along with some generic soldiers.
-
That figure looks fantastic... I won't be able to resist pre-ordering this game anymore. Well, not that I would ever resist. I'm glad it's not Gandalf the White, because if it was him, we wouldn't have gotten his horse and it wouldn't make sense for him to not appear in sets, since he's a key character in the films. Making him exclusive wouldn't work. Uhh, the game is available for PC too, right? Or will be, at least..? Also, does this mean that we could get to see a new trailer for the game soon?

(Small) Ruin of Osgiliath
General Magma replied to Imperial Technology's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This looks fantastic, gotta love the detailing on this! I've been working on a large Osgiliath MOC of my own for some time now, and this almost makes me want to fully rebuild it... Oh well, should be fine, haha. Great job. -
...Actually, if you looked to the left of my post, you would've noticed that I live in the same country as you. My local store has had Monster Fighters since late May and all LOTR sets except for Weathertop since July 6th, when I got them.
-
I got 6 out of 7 sets at the beginning of July, I'm pretty sure they've been out for quite a bit longer..? Anyways, gotta check out the prices, but I'm not expecting them to be better than in the store I got my sets from.
-
320-page novel + 250 pages of Appendices at least, that is.
-
This was posted days ago, I believe. Unless they changed something about it... Anyways, some news here: The Hobbit will become a trilogy! As for what this means for the LEGO license... well, I guess it seemed obvious but it will have higher chances of lasting even longer now.
-
The Hobbit will become a trilogy! Third film has been confirmed. Do you know what else this means? This means that the LEGO license will have a higher chance of lasting even longer, as it will at least run until winter 2014/early 2015 this way. Hooray!
