  1. You're wishing doom upon us all. Why would you hope for such figures to be exclusives that 1000 people at most would be able to get? Luckily, they won't be exclusives - we already had an exclusive TDKR Batman before and since TDKR Batman, Bane and Gordon are all from this year's movie, it's clear that they're going to be part of a set next year. And yeah, I knew they wouldn't jut pass up on doing a TDKR set. Said it before, I believe..
  2. Does anybody know when we might expect the next trailer for the game? LEGO games usually get them 1 and a half month after their respective teaser trailers, Batman 2 was a bit later, and now we got some new screens for LEGO LOTR. I'm really looking forward to see what they've got for the next trailer. Hopefully they'll show some of the larger battles as well... My guess for the next trailer is July 15th or somewhere later halfway through the month, but perhaps somebody else knows more of this.
  3. Yep, they most likely will, even Bombur. The only figure without back printing on the head in the entire LOTR line-up was Gandalf, and that was because of his hat not covering the back of his head. Dwalin with a second face would look awkward, but I'm sure there should be some kind of detailing on the back instead of a second face.
  4. It looks great, but... You do realize that there's an entire thread for this, right?
  5. Wow... I wasn't really anticipating a Bag End set, but then I see this! It looks amazing - at first it didn't even look like an actual set to me. The designers of the Middle-Earth sets AND minifigures are doing a fantastic job! Can't wait to see the rest!
  6. Surely the goblins from The Hobbit will be the same as Moria orcs, so it is possible that they end up referring to him as the Orc King as well, other than The Great Goblin. But nonetheless, it seems like a strange list to me purely based on the first half of the book. The Battle of Dol Guldur was supposed to appear in the movie with the White Council 'n all, it would be strange of them to miss out on the opportunity to have Gandalf, Radagast, Galadriel, Saruman, Elrond, Sauron as The Necromancer and maybe a few Ringwraiths in one set... and this way all the sets just focus on Bilbo, not looking forward to another Jack Sparrow or Anakin Skywalker party. (The drinks sucked ) I'm hoping for the actual set list soon (as well as some pictures), and I hope that it's a good one... $80 sets based on scenes situated inside of caves that don't have much to them don't make sense to me anymore. That might work as a $20-40 set, but $80?
  7. Nope, not new. On top there's just Helm's Deep with The Mines of Moria under it, and some smaller sets including Weathertop beneath them. EDIT: How dare you?! Ninja'ing me by just a second! Pfft. Intolerable... unacceptable...
  8. The sets themselves are rumors and the set numbers aren't real.
  9. Well, it ends sometime after the scenes with the elves when the dwarves escape in barrels... This list was based on rumors and had 5 out of 6 sets, and we only know that Bag End is true - I would be surprised if they didn't do a set of Dol Guldur with the White Council, or a set with the 3 trolls.
  10. Well, I hope Bag End is not all that we would get to see... It would be nice to see the set itself, yes, but I'd prefer to see most of the figures, and we've already seen those from the Bag End set. Although, nobody confirmed anything about what *exactly* we'll get to see, right? So there should still be a chance for us to see the rest... I hope...
  11. I don't think PJ would've kept the Wargs like that. Filming began a bit over a year ago, and has ended recently.. For some reason I still think the Wargs should be TTT style, unless anyone can confirm otherwise? The poster depicts them as more wolf-like, but I'm still hoping for those Wargs to be TTT-styled... I mean, they're shown as shadows after all, we can't be sure and it would count as a 'continuation error' when placed next to the LOTR movies for me.
  12. Also, did anybody notice the differently shaped cape which is worn by Dwalin? I assume this had to do with the way the beard goes onto the minifigure. I hope it means that we can expect to see a Gimli figure with a similar cape but in dark grey in future LOTR sets too.
  13. Count on it. Really, do. These Middle-Earth sets sell like hotcakes so it wouldn't surprise me. As for my comments on the figures... perfect, just perfect - they all look fantastic, can't wait to see the rest...! It is the same excitement I had when the first pictures of the LOTR sets were revealed. And, yes, I agree that these must be part of the same set. If they wanted to show off new figures, they wouldn't have shown Gandalf along with them. Bag End it is, set for a medium-sized set.
  14. Or, more likely, "Middle-Earth". But I guess a separate site will have to do.
  15. Neither was his LEGO appearance - that's called sand blue and it was done for specific reasons. I assure you, the figure would've looked less good in dark grey. Either way, I doubt they'll come with hoods. It would be nice if they did, or at least some of them, but along with the beards of most dwarves, how are they going to fit on the figure? As for Bombur... just a print would work to ´showcase´ his large belly. Other than all this, a thought went through my head just a moment ago... Do you guys think The Hobbit will have a LEGO site/homepage separate from the LOTR one, or would it be more likely for them to be merged together?
  16. Hoods? If there are any scenes where they wear hoods, then I don't know how the large-bearded ones will be handled like that... But the only dwarf with a hood on that picture has a relatively small beard, probably to be printed on the head itself. (Although a piece similar to the Fantasy Era dwarf's beards and Gimli's would be better, in a smaller size)
  17. Well, hopefully we'll see one or two sets, maybe new Warg molds (?!), and otherwise it would be neat to see all 13 dwarves with Bilbo Baggins... although a bit unlikely, perhaps, so there's a better chance of seeing Bilbo and Thorin Oakenshield.
  18. Yep - I had enough of those breastplates to equip every Uruk-hai I had with one. If you were to get every set once, you'd need 2 separate breastplates of your own and the one from The Orc Forge. (Where you would replace the unequipped Uruk-hai's hair (Uruk-hai Army) with a White Hand helmet and give him one of the breastplates - that way there are 2 remaining Uruks without breastplates that you can equip to the fullest. Thanks - since TLG used halberds instead of a new pike, I decided to figure out an accurate and working design by myself. Wanted to make it taller at first, but I think this is just fine, although my attempts at a minifig-scaled Helm's Deep could change that within months. Not sure about the face problem - I think both sides of the Uruk heads are great, can't see a way they could've done it differently.
  19. It's great to see a large amount of Uruk-hai together with different variations. All of the Uruk-hai that I'll be using for Helm's Deep (so excluding those possible ones for Amon-hen and such, and those with hair) will receive breastplates, only variations for me will be the first-hand weapon, reversible heads, the two different shields (one White Hand design) and the two different helmets (White Hand design), besides the use of hair on one or just a few. I didn't want to use the halberds they included in the sets (when did they ever use those?) so I decided to go with my own design of the pikes which they used during The Battle of Helm's Deep in the movies... If only those technic pins were available in brown...
  20. I doubt it. I don't think they would place an advertisement on the back of every LOTR set instruction booklet only to promote a board game.
  21. Was there any chance of a LOTR set announcement for today anyways, though? Any more chances that may come by for the 1st half of July, or was that it? Since I'm really looking forward to seeing the next sets...
  22. Well, as for The Hobbit... I'm pretty sure a poster said 'LEGO The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - Coming December 1st' or something like that, so I'd say somewhere around November at earliest, either that or just December like it said on the posters. ...Now to hope for some The Hobbit set reveals soon.
  23. Like Haltiamieli said, that information is outdated and has no mentions on 2013, and other than that it's not even a reliable source. I'd say, and it may pain some, that this theme is officially dead....
  24. One does not simply walk into a 'little factory'... Its metallic gates are guarded by more than just employees. There is evil there that does not sleep... ...Well, it surely does look as if they're trying to poke fun at you guys. No availability near the factories, and not even in New Zealand itself. Wouldn't worry too much, though - The Netherlands was supposed to get them in August, maybe late July if we were lucky... now I managed to pick up 6 of the sets 2 days ago, and the sets are available in most retail stores as well here now. I don't think it will take much longer for the rest of you.
  25. Confirmation for The Netherlands seconded - the usual store I buy sets at already had all sets except for Weathertop, just 2 days ago.
