  1. He did not. I doubt even the movie editing started until just recently...
  2. I wouldn't expect a set like that at all. And Pippin would be supposed to be mounted on the horse along with Gandalf, that's not gonna work for a set AND the only thing to it would be a horse and some scenery. I would expect the next LOTR wave's small set to perhaps be Mount Doom or related to Minas Tirith. (The White Tree) The 2 smaller 'medium' sets might end up being the attack of the Witch-king and a wall battlepack for Minas Tirith if the smallest set is Mount Doom.
  3. Same here, I hope it's the next thing they do for a LOTR wave. Would be great to see the Witch-king of Angmar in minifigure form. Hmm, I doubt that... people would end up buying the video game at MSRP especially to have the figure, rather than waiting for a lower price, I can't see them suddenly throwing that figure (or a slightly different variant of it) into another set while having it out as a pre-order figure. Still, nothing has been confirmed yet so it might as well end up being something else.
  4. I doubt they'll do another Bag End set (maybe, though!), and I'm not sure if they would base a Rivendell set on the 'Department to the West', so if they don't, he could always become an exclusive figure with a "LEGO: The Hobbit" video game. I still wonder why Gandalf the White was picked for the LOTR one, though...
  5. This is about a torso print, not a new mold or something...
  6. Can't you play it on your PC, or have I come here all the way to become disappointed to hear about how it won't be available for PC? (Quite sure it will though...) Anyways, good to hear about the pre-order figure. Just a bit strange that Gandalf the White might not be in a future set then, however. I would've expected them to save him for a Minas Tirith set.
  7. I also spotted a Warg, and it seems it's safe to say that they'll be the same as in The Two Towers. (At 07:05, you can see someone riding a fake Warg, seems the same color and design as the usual ones from LOTR)
  8. This October. The last (and first) trailer we got was on June the 1st, I normally expect second trailers for LEGO games about one and a half to two months after the first one, so hopefully we'll see it soon.
  9. That, and if I recall correctly from the videos, the cave troll died in the same way it did in the movie. I guess Boromir would be shot and collapse after that one shot in the game, but it would be nice if they did it more similarly to the movie, so either something where you have to keep fighting Uruk-hai (but become weaker) after each shot, until the last one, or just play as Boromir, fight off the Uruk-hai and then end up with a cutscene of Boromir being shot three times (one arrow at a time... for movie accuracy), leading to Lurtz preparing to fire his last arrow only to be interrupted by Aragorn, leading to the boss fight. It would be great if all the things were just the same as in the movies with a few typical LEGO jokes throughout. Can't wait for the next trailer of the game, hope we'll see it soon.
  10. I guess they just wanted to show the most important things along with the things they made sets of. I would've preferred to see everything, from Minas Tirith to Pelennor Fields and from there to the Black Gate, along with more things in the Two Towers ones, but oh well - we'll still have the video game for that. Judging by some cutscenes, I'm quite sure they'll stick to the actual thing there for most part, while tossing in a few jokes. You do see dead cave trolls and Moria orcs in the game (yes, bodies), something they seemed to have tried to avoid in the miniseries, so Boromir won't be safe this time.
  11. The next and final chapter of the LEGO LOTR miniseries is here: http://thelordoftherings.lego.com/en-us/Videos/Default.aspx It's a shame they didn't use it as an opportunity for a Minas Tirith teaser, or any other future set for that matter. But oh well, the video game should give us some of that. Yeah, I was referring to the Hobbits since that's what he was talking about - but those two faces are the only issues I have with the alternate faces as well. Théoden should come in another set in the future with an angry and a serious face.
  12. While that secondary face does suit him for the scene in ROTK where he stabs the Witch-king of Angmar, the primary face should be a bit more serious for the next Merry figure - right now you can only have him smiling or show him with his mouth wide open. But other than that, yeah, they did a great job on the alternate faces. Let's hope we'll see more variations soon.
  13. LEGO: Teaching your kids to break open houses to steal memory cards since 2012. Become a true burglar! Well, I was expecting something related to the movies rather than a memory card game, but oh well, never planned to buy this one anyways. Maybe when it's on sale to complete the collection.
  14. I don't know why that's still even necessary to think after the release of the LOTR sets. Yes, Legolas didn't end up having a quiver as the actual figure but that wasn't a new mold - the things we had seen back then made it as real pieces. The One Ring, hair molds, etc... even when we didn't get Anduril. Yet. I reckon that, if they will do it the way they did it with the LOTR figures, we'll get to see the dwarves in batches. For example, we could have sets of 3 like this each time they show us a new poster - Bifur, Bofur and Bombur, Ori, Dori and Nori, etc., and Thorin Oakenshield on a separate poster... and if not, they could always go with an entire group shot of all dwarves in the end.
  15. On Wednesday I decided to watch Batman Begins, followed by The Dark Knight on Thursday and ending with The Dark Knight Rises today. It was an amazing movie, I would want to see it again for sure. To me, it had to be the best of the bunch. And it had lots of plot twists working in a positive way... if you're planning to see this movie, avoid spoilers the best you can.
  16. Funny video as usual, although they seem to have skipped whole parts of FOTR and TTT... I do hope that the video game will be far more real to the original, though, but it probably will. These mini movies just seem to be for some fun silliness around. Can't be Sting either - the curve at the top of the sword only goes one way, not both like on Sting.
  17. No, that's definitely Orcrist. The hilt looks different from a Gladius, one side of the hilt's ends are a bit longer and curved, and the blade itself is curved at the top. Look closely - even when the last picture isn't something to go by, you can still see some rather longer bits on the top and bottom of the hilt. On the first picture, a curve is visible, similar to the LEGO cutlass piece, and you can see how different the hilt is from the Gladius hilt: I think there's more to the blade itself than the straight line I showed here, but I just wanted to show the curve and the hilt's shape.
  18. I'm sure that's Orcrist. The shape doesn't seem right for a Gladius, but for Orcrist, yes...
  19. Should be this in centimeters: 64.4 cm by 47.6 cm by 19.7 cm And then there's the Taj Mahal's box, to compare: 65.3 cm by 47.6 cm by 12.2 cm Which means that the Millennium Falcon wins here.
  20. It surely does! It's much taller than Helm's Deep, and while we can't see all of it, I think that what we see is at least 1/2nd part of it. (Which means that it will be around as tall as one of those designer's head + body together that way) Does make me wonder what they've got in store for us for the second wave of LOTR sets.
  21. Looks like 'Darth Maul Mandalorians' to me. Didn't see any blood either, though, but the previews look great.
  22. Since a Wood Elf set has likely been confirmed now, I'm expecting Tauriel in that set.
  23. Looks like that confirms a Wood Elf set then... good. Warg Attack, Mirkwood spider, Gollum's Cave and Cave of the Great Goblin sets seem to be confirmed as well then. I hope they will still do a White Council set, however...
  24. TLG said that they would reveal the other sets "within the next few months"... they said series 8 of the minifigs would be revealed next month too, but pics of them were found just a few days ago. Don't suppose anyone has an idea of when we might want to expect the next set reveals for The Hobbit? Looks like Bombur's gonna kick some megablocks with a sausage then...
