My passport and nationality - Polish, obviously. Been to: France (a few day trip, loved Paris) Germany (a few times, mostly just passing by, also on a short trip on the Baltic shore just next to Polish/German border, very nice German seaside towns!) Belgium (a short visit to Brussels) Austria (a short visit to Vienna) Netherlands (only passing by, sadly, hope to see more of it some day) Czech Republic (a few times, Prague is great, wish to see it again some time) Slovakia (a few times, visited towns close to Polish border) Ukraine (I spent there two weeks with my friends, great time) Lithuania (when I was much younger, on holiday with my parents) Italy (10 days or so, I had a great time there) San Marino (one day trip when I was in Italy) That's it I think. Last year I was close to visiting Legoland in Denmark, but didn't have enough money, another time perhaps.

[COMIC] "Kings And Queens Of The Sea" - Episodes
Dreamweb replied to Dreamweb's topic in Pirate MOCs
Episode 26 - Laurantia Part 2 is finally up. I didn't have much time to work on the comic lately but I hope it won't be that long before another episodes are ready. Meanwhile, hope you like this one. I'm working on new episodes, I've also been thinking about adding some extra stuff, like character bios and that kind of things. -
I like this a lot! We definitely don't see many lateen-rigged ships around here, so it's good to have another one!

We sometimes dig up old MOCs that deserve to be featured on Classic-Pirates.com frontpage. That's because many users who registered later didn't get the chance to see them (like Mr. Zorro above and many others), and also because in many cases the blog didn't even exist back then. 'Oldies' should get their fair chance to be shown to wider audience just as well as new stuff. It's as if we started discussing only 2009 Pirate sets in this forum, totally rejecting the 1989-1997 Pirate line just because it's too old, thus pretending that Black Seas Barracuda, Skull's Eye Schooner and many others never existed... There's a lot of great MOCs that were made too early to be featured in our blog, and I feel obliged to give them the exposure they deserve. In fact, I can think of a few great ship MOCs I remember that are sadly no longer on the web and cannot be featured anymore.

That's a very good MOC you made! I like the way you used that baseplate. Expect it to be blogged on Classic-Pirates.com soon! [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]

Hi! I see you've already posted a MOC that deserved being blogged on Classic-Pirates.com. Keep it up!

Very nice indeed! My only question is why is the naked girl yellow and the others are fleshies? Does it have any special meaning (like different lighting in the room for example)?
-
Lots of surprises during the tournament so far! Mexico beating France 2:0 was a bit unexpected but they deserved it - France did nothing that could've given them victory. As I posted earlier, I really supported Nigeria, but what Sani Kaita did yesterday was foolish (kicking Greek player, getting a well-deserved red card). He should be disciplined by the coach in some way too.

Switzerland did a truly amazing job on this one!

Since Poland is not in the finals, I don't have a clear favourite (I must add I'm kind of glad they're not playing, Polish football/soccer is in an awful condition these days, the 0:6 result in friendly game with Spain not long ago was a good example, they're a disgrace). I must say I liked how Ivory Coast played against Portugal yesterday - granted, there were no goals, but the game itself was very exciting, and everybody thought the Ivory Coast team was doomed before the game started. They played against Portugal like equals and I'll definitely support them in their future matches. Any Portugals here who read this, please don't get angry at me, but I don't particularly like that team, even though I respect their skills. Germany did a great job indeed, however I feel kind of sorry for Australians as I really got to like them over the years. Still, Germany have almost always been among the best, and it looks like they're in top shape now! I'm looking forward to their next games. I'll definitely support Argentina, but I like Nigeria too, with whom they won.

[COMIC] "Kings And Queens Of The Sea" - Episodes
Dreamweb replied to Dreamweb's topic in Pirate MOCs
Hi, thanks for your interest! I've been busy with some other MOCs but I'm working on the comic again right now! So you can expect new episode soon! -
That's a very nice and huge MOC! Reminds me of the battle dioramas on which me and my pals used to play with toy soldiers long ago. You could write some kind of rules and turn it into a war game! Anyway, this will be blogged on Classic-Pirates.com - expect it there soon!

The plane from Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers
Dreamweb replied to Dreamweb's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for all your comments! I still have all the episodes of the series and watch some of them from time to time. It's funny how you can find new things in them, things I couldn't understand when I was a lot younger, like all the allusions, jokes etc. On the other hand, Lego has a Disney license. I'd be so happy if they one day released an official Rescue Rangers line, or other classic series for that matter. That would probably require making a new Rescue Rangers movie (for example), so that the sets would be part of promotion. We never know, this may happen one day! -
That's one MOC I always wanted to build and finally did. It's the Ranger Plane from my childhood's favourite cartoon series called "Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers". It's minifig scale, that is if you consider mice and chipmunks to be the size of minifigs. It was built in the pilot episode by Gadget Hackwrench, using a white plastic bottle and a red baloon, and used for a good part of the series. I remember that even as a kid, I built two such planes, both using an empty toothpaste tube and a baloon made of paper. They were rather poor quality but of course that didn't bother me at the time, the important thing was I had a Rescue Rangers plane to play with. I built the second one some time after crashing the first one. And now, 15 years later or so, I decided to build a Lego one, as a tribute of sorts to the classic Disney cartoon series. View the whole gallery HERE, including a picture of the original cartoon plane, just for comparison purposes.

It's been over 48 hours now and my pictures still haven't been moderated, I've never waited quite that long. What's more, the "recent updates" seem to be uchanged since then, or at least for about 30 hours or so, that would mean no one else got their pictures moderated either. Anyone else noticed that? I've been thinking about reuploading, but if moderation seems to be suspended in general, that wouldn't make much difference IMO.

Thanks! I got a used one once with an Exo-Force hairpiece and that's why I got it confused.
-
Just a quick question here. What set is this torso from? I was once pretty sure it was from Exo Force, however it seems I was wrong.
-
I have one vivid childhood memory of almost swallowing the tricorner hat. . Since then I don't think anything like this happened. And for pieces that are hard to separate, for me nothing beats removing some types of long hair from a head. Mary Jane's hair is a good example: I don't have a brick separator but I don't think that would help in this case.

I've heard various rumours, this happens everytime an accident similar to this occurs. However none of these seem credible enough right now. In such situations people always tend to make up theories, however strange. I remember a theory saying UFO was involved in September 11 attacks, so you get my point. I think it'll take much more time and research before we know exactly what happened during the Polish air force crash, if ever, but I REALLY don't think it was a deliberate attack, or that anyone was running around shooting the survivours...

Yesterday evening I bought 5899 House Building Set: I think it's a great source of parts with two nice-looking minifigs (I especially like the female one).
-
It does have a cartoony look. In fact it reminds me of the plane from Duck Tales: Unfortunately I couldn't find a better picture, but I'm pretty sure the plane was originally red, not grey like the one shown here. Great job!
-
Very nice MOC! I like the shipwreck a lot and the tent is also very nice. Perhaps the island itself would look better with more plants, not anything big, just some grass here and there.
-
Welcome! Enjoy your stay! Hope to see some creations from you soon!

I thought it could use some more blood too, unfortunately I used all I had. The syringe pit would be great, perhaps one day when I have some extra money I'll do it.
