  1. But that's the opposite of a "short" locomotive ? For a loco only 16 studs long I used the 88008 or the 45303 verticaly in the cabin. Find more infos her: https://www.1000steine.de/de/gemeinschaft/forum/?entry=1&id=452684#id452684
  2. I see, THX. app "telephon information" says for OS "32-bit ARM" *sigh*
  3. Hi all got a Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) Android 8.1.0 with Powered Up App 3.6.0 But version 3.7.0 (june 30th 2021) cannot be installed: not compatible? Changes according to app store: Bug Fix Can someone please check if its a general issue or just me?
  4. Thanks, didn't find in the docs I'll try right now.
  5. Hi, My idea was to read and write from and to a variable in the program during execution. Motor runs with speed v Speed ist adjusted to v=500 via FB - and stored in the "Hub Name" as "Hub no 7 - 500" When starting program next name is read and v set to 500 - without any FB
  6. Hi , thats good news, thanks! Works fine.
  7. Thanks for explanation. Yes, I use that already. So there is a method to store value(s) permanently. How many bytes, does this depend on HW?
  8. Hi, among all my projects it always found it very useful to save parameters for a specific program. Normally I use a ESP32, which has a file system and allows me to configure a model via WLAN/HTML. How could such a szenario be combined with pybrick hubs? Might it be possible to add it to a pybrick network of Hubs, is it necessary that it acts and behaves like a PU Hub?
  9. You missed to qoute the "" behind my "request". This all is good news, but this is exactly what would be nice to have (from my point of view) on "pybricks.com" in the menu as i.e. "News". A short information what is new and what is planned. Thanks for the information, I'll stay tuned.
  10. Hi, thanks for your post. There are the two essential questions from @Andman - How to connect a gamepad? - How to connect Hubs? How many? How? And - how will they communicate? Or, in general: how to connect something to get control of the Hub(s) , i.e the remote. An that leads me to the next point: I now these points are on the roadmap (Step 4?), but being not very familiar with github I lost the current state of developement. There for it could be useful to have a info on pybricks.org what is current, what is new, what is planned (all with dates ) By the way I saw the "class remote", but that seems to work only with beta and only for Spike/RI? Even having an example and changing the path in the include it could not be included, I'm to early? The new "control center" with "Download coding page" and "include this program" works fine, but same as above: Seems, that is not mentioned on pybricks. com (or I did not find....) But in general: great work, wonderful layout, very good coding documentation. Thanks!
  11. Ok, that makes it clear and I was wrong, sorry for any confusion. I didn't find the information for the technic and absolute zero...
  12. No. the technic L/XL are identical to the 88008 Onle ythe angulars have Zero. There is no "Software Encoder". To get information about rotation and Speed rotation you would not need HW at all , but for getting the angulars you need. PS: here's a picture of the XL: https://bricks.stackexchange.com/questions/15031/what-is-inside-the-technic-powered-up-xl-motor
  13. I see. Threre are three types of motors I think - Nothing (simple, train) - tacho (Move hub, 88008, technic L / XL) -tacho and zero (the angulars)
  14. Hi all, I can confirm with a Galaxy Tab. But while in loop you can see the icons flickering, and that stops first, motor is running, but connection ist lost app 20 sec later, motor stops So app isn't running any more....?
  15. Thanks, that's pretty long.... I doubt that a old!= new would work in that case, if you trigger rapidly via the UI
  16. Sure, but for testing if this causes the error a wait is easy, and it would be interesting if it differs when changing the values....so what is the lowest value ?
  17. True, but it fires commands permanently to the Hub, which might then cause the error. Idea: add a wait (1 sec, or 0.5 sec or 0.1 sec) into the "motor-loop" for testing, would that change something?
  18. .. and which icons are replaced bay others for working/not working?
  19. As you wrote, there are lots of videos and web sites with explanations and examples. But there is no support by LEGO. For an introduction to the programming tools with LEGO Apps you could use the Boost Set 17101. As there is no need to use a smart device with the LEGO apps, there are other Apps to use Powered up, or use other devices like micro controllers or similar.
  20. I think this is the newest FW, same for mine. @SaperPL Sure that the hub works? Does it connect with BC2 respond and report HW and FW Version? Did you load newest FW, and do you know how to do this properly?
  21. It does, it's exactly what's in the Crocodile loco. (But you need a self written programm to run the XL.) You can use the Croco-Part in the Powered Up App to test with the 88013. And they both work with BC2 V 2.6 and the 88009
  22. Hi @1963maniac It is based on an idea of @JopieK and user tmctiger on 1000Steine and I showed the "string solution" here on a layout which worked for four days on exhibitions in 2019 without problems. https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/170063-fully-automated-layout/ There is also the solution for adjustment of the strings (which was never used after build, neither after transport nor during work) . If you wand to find more ideas for the gear and the small linear power units have a look, PF, 9V, 12V: https://www.1000steine.de/de/gemeinschaft/forum/?entry=1&id=369752#id369752 This is much older, so I used axles at that time.
  23. Hi, this is really a nice solution, hope to see more of your "tiny train" project!
