hmmm, a mummy is an undead, how does one kill the undead ? maybe a headshot will do like in shooter videogames yeah, if the british are good in making head shots they could win
-
I don't trust what wiki sais though I also think it is a galleon and quite a heavy one, I made a plan and came to a total of 52 (broadside) cannons wiki sais it the Dutchman was inspired by a Fluyt (dutch trading galleon) But according to the heavy weaponry I would rather say she's a little warship, the demon heads on the cannon ports, the triple guns, the agressive prow,... obviously this ship was designed for battle

Bakske vol by sebeus, on Flickr 20 sailors on a rowboat, someone think he can beat me on that ?
-
well, the samurai ofcourse, they may have not gunfire but they are swift well trained warriors, as long as they don't battle in open fields, as that is where the Brittish soldiers could use their cannons and rifles effectively Nice pics.

That a nice fleet you have there, Personnaly I find the ESPG too complicated to play, I believe someone around here made an easier version where he used a grid so it's less complicated to move around ships

in the thrash can ? that is dramatic

Megabloks is cheaper than Lego though. I would never buy megabloks but actually I think it's a good thing they excist, they serve as an extra motivation for LEGO to keep up their high level of quality, After all it's the quality that seperates Lego from fake products. I also think megabloks is for the "less creative" and I refer to the megabloks Flying Dutchman here, a moccer would have simply no use of that set, the only thing you can build with it is the FD and nothing else.
-
But more important than the megablok issue is the fact that you posted this in the MOCforum (which means my own creation) I do know that if you type in "lego flying dutchman" in google you'll find the megabloks FD, also buyable

I love how it turned out, the sails look lovely, nice crew as well. a brig ? I was under the impression this wasn't a brig, atleast I think a schooner and brig are different things, could someone correct me on that ? I find these ship terms so confusing, some only depict a sailplan while others say something about the arnament. Everytime I post a new ship I have a disscusion with someone about what class it is
-
Awesome, I named one of my ships Calypso as well a while ago but it was nothing as cool as this ship, very nice, I hope you finish it soon.
-
My ship is way too small for what I have in mind so I decided that this is only my test version. I made some stern detail, not really accurate to the movie but unmistakably it's the Flying Dutchman I think I'll do something more serious on the final project, that atlantis fish figure is a bit silly I suppose. There aren't any people minifigures on my stern either. The new color scheme will have to wait for my larger and improved version. My deadline is the 20st of April (2012) as I want to show it off at Brickmania Wetteren, a Belug event

Awesome, I like the smooth white fort walls, very nice

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Sebeus I replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
They'll stop with POTC at some point, look at Indiana Jones or Prince of Persia Personnaly I think the Black Pearl will be the last set in the POTC line. I'm worried that it will take a long time before there will be a new Pirate theme, a very long time you might as well say there won't be one until prooved wrong -
At mocpages someone asked me how many minifigurs would fit in the brig. So when I was taking my black pearl cross-section apart I took some pictures that show the interior a bit better. The gun deck There this detail you couldn't see very well at first. On to the brig: And the answer is 8

It's funny, I'm also working on a new more streamlined technique but completely different from what you're doing, which is very nice by the way I'm running short on parts to make a decent presentation of my technique though
-
Nice, they're both gonna die I suppose, that cannon would kill the red and bluecoat :P
-
I love this set very much but I never got it, I fear that when I buy this set I won't ever demolish it to build something else, one of the best sets ever produced. This set is too good, I did got the Skull's eye schooner and that's my largest box I have.
-
Being under 18 isn't much of a problem, that's what parents/uncles/aunts/etcetera are for, you just make your account on bricklink and let your parents handle the details

Skull's Eye Schooner Caribbean Clipper Red Beard Runner Armada Flagship Renegade Runner Queen Anne's Revenge and lots of spare parts from other ships. None of those ships are alive though, all of them used for own creations I have the capacity for three small ships (similar to armada flagship) and four large ships (size similar to skull's eye schooner) so the biggest fleet I can have consists out of 7 ships. I once had six ships at the same time, never took a group picture but you can see them on these two pictures
-
oh ah aaaaah, fantastic, I want it and it's not even finished, the shape is so perfect, it's a delicious ship
-
So many maps, I only know three of six maps hanging on the wall, very nice.
-
She looks "royal" , maybe that helps finding a name ? very nice so far either way. This is a Carrack (kraak) you're building right ? those have a high forecastle... or is it rather a galleon ? (or something else )
-
The first two official ships had wheels on the cannons, that's the Black Seas Barracuda and the Caribbean Clipper, the barracuda is the only official ship that had cannons on both sides by the way. Now that I think about it, doesn't the new imperial flagship has wheels attached to the cannons ? wait a minute, what about the old imperial flagship... Maybe it's even better to just sum up the ships that didn't have wheels
-
Nice sigfig, I also have a few inverted flags, I noticed when I made this
-
I liked the old colors better, But they also introduced dark brown, maybe that's the reason they changed the old brown.
