  1. Someone should take a group picture of all those captains for the new forum skin (http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=75434) I would if I could but I only have Iron Hook and Redbeard. eh yes, you're right
  2. Grumble grumble... always nitpicking over the slightest... and I hate to modify... there. CGH: "Much better" ...indeed Now with the tournament of retribution this seemed an excellent occasion to remove that hell-bound color from my ship and some smack doesn't hurt either
  3. How about a combination of the captains ? I voted for the collectible minifigure but he's missing pauldrons and like Boomchil said, the old skull design works better (although the golden patern on it looks great).
  4. 1) Sebeus I 2) 3) Bluecoat For this occasion I made an alternate signature figure (I couldn't just use my current one with the red dragon wings, could I ?) Furthermore it's a bit more pirate-related (replaced my robot arm by a hook and the helmet by a bicorner). Special parts: black pauldron found in starwars the clonewars, always worn by a clone commander. Head: soldier from the Ninja theme, comes in set nr 4805 (in this set you also get greenhair's and Cerberus' head) and some other sets
  5. 1) Sebeus I 2) Bluecoat 3) Captain (or Navigator or Carpenter) hmmm, If I got this right it's Ok if I don't have the typical comic lay-out but just pictures with text balloons on it, that's great, can't wait to get started...8 december is still far away (btw, isn't the Rank general higher than commander ? )
  6. Port batteries! aim for those ducks It looks lovely in the water.
  7. It's interesting how he used joint pieces instead of actuall cannons, from a distance they work great, up close I don't like them that much The bow is pretty well-shaped
  8. One of the most absurd things ever IMO, USA, the land of guns, but a lego cannon is a thread ?
  9. I second that, I never kept a set as it is anyway, everything is sacrificed for the sake of better mocs, new ship parts or more variety in colors of parts would come in handy
  10. Very interesting, you are like a pirate set investigator Maybe Americans like to know how much pieces there are in the lego set they buy, I don't care about the quantity of pieces in a lego box, I never did, it doesn't mean anything to me, there are big pieces and small pieces so what's the point, maybe Europeans are smarter than have a different mentallity and would rather not have the number of pieces on their boxes?
  11. You might be waiting for a long time then, maybe you can find a better offer for a pirateship ? (btw, 100 euro is way too much indeed, the original price was 80 and the set is definitely not rare or old enough to have a collectors' value IMO )
  12. If you don't have a pirate ship yet the Brickbeard Bounty is probably the most economic sollution, €50 seems a reasonable price. If you are more interested in a nicer ship (and money is less of an issue) I suggest you look for a Black Seas Barracuda or Skull's Eye Schooner. Or the Red Beard Runner if you like the iconic Skull and battle-damaged look of it.
  13. I own both Imperial Trading Post and Rock Island Refuge and IMO the imperial trading post is far better than rock island refuge. I don't have the Eldorado fortress yet and I think I would even pick the Imperial trading post again (I'd rather have two ITP than one ITP and one EF) Anyway: Imperial Trading Post
  14. It will probably be more expensive than buying lego's
  15. Mhoahaha, I know all about its dirty secret eh, I mean very nice ship, will I have the chance to see it again at Brickmania Antwerpen ? If I had the bricks I'd make a sister ship too, three frigates
  16. ▲ Photo Edited. The pirate lords of the seven seas... welcome you to Classic Pirates Lost your way ? the cartographer will help. Oh and someone should take a group picture of Redbeard, BrickBeard and the pirate captain from collectable minifigures
  17. Go Jupiler..; I mean bluecoats I'm on the side of the bluecoats although cutting off ears is pretty brutal I think.
  18. Very nice, I always liked how the sails of SES and renegade runner go together, the cabin looks good but I must say that what you tried first would have been nice too, although les space for cabin.
  19. Some more idea's : Bluecoats on expedition. Redcoats with a cannon. Pirates with treasure.
  20. I was thinking the same thing when I heard the news, it's madness to take a ship like that into a storm
  21. How about something like this ? PHOTO EDITED The islanders welcome you to Classic Pirates Or is that too much rock ?
  22. Well, I hope the parts you needed will be used for an even better ship Great use of brick bricks on the cabin by the way, they work nice as planks.
  23. I like the hooks at the end of the booms and I love how you build the railing part with the cheese slopes at the prow (I don't know the correct terminology). Keep it up!
